Let It Snow.....

It looks to me like that is what this little guy is saying - "Let It Snow".... looking up and embracing the falling snow.  This is the card we made using our little icicles in club this month.   After stamping and layering the snowman on Raspberry colored paper and some silver glitter paper -
We attached a string of icicles to the top of the snowman layer using glue dots.  He looks thrilled that they're there.  We might think it's cold when it snows - but for a snowman - perfect weather :)

See you all soon - stay warm out there!  ~Maureen

November Club Technique

So - last month - we made icicles.  I remember seeing this at convention a few years ago - and thought what a great idea!!!  All you need is some waxed paper, some Crystal Effects and some dazzling diamonds glitter.  Using the crystal effects just make a strip of it along the waxed paper, then add the little icicle drips coming down.  Sprinkle with the Dazzling Diamonds glitter (both Stampin' Up! products), and let dry 1 hour to 8 hours depending on the humidity.
Gently remove the icicles from the waxed paper and attach to your project with glue dots, or other adhesive.
Here's our technique card we put in our binders.   Stop back soon and see the adorable card we made with these icicles.  ~Maureen

Hostess Gift November

Today I'm sharing my Hostess gift for my November Club - here it is all clipped up :)
and inside this lovely set of cards.  I have used this flower from our hostess set sooooo many times, and never get tired of it.  To color the flower I just used a dauber and sponged around the image.  Then added some green accents with my blender pen.
Here's a close up of just one of the cards.  Great image for almost any color and any sentiment.
See you soon!  ~Maureen

Gramma Day with Makai

Today wanted to share some pics from my last Gramma day with Makai - she followed suit and wanted to do almost all the same things I did with Kamili last month.  So we painted this little Chihuahua -
Ate lunch at Red Robin - Yum!
Finished with Ice cream and journaling at Gramma's house.
Been trying to post a picture of her and the dog all glazed - so cute - but I can't get the picture to download.  I'll have to add it later if I can get it :)

We also did a little coloring, TV watching and snuggling (she's definitely the snuggler in the family) - it was just a delightful day with a delightful little girl!  Love you sweetie!!  ~Gramma

Hello Card

Well hello friend - isn't this card adorable to send out to a friend you haven't touched base with for a bit - the Cajun and Navy colors are such a great compliment to each other, making it the perfect card for a guy or a gal.  I love the old fashioned telephone image (not even sure if my grandkids would know it was - as really they only see cell phones :)  But I love it!

We also ran the Cajun layer through the lacy edge folder to add more to the nostalgic feel.  Hope you liked it too.  ~Maureen

Grateful....

It is the time of year for Gratefulness - so I wanted to share this card with you.  We made it at my last cards came, and I made several extras to send off to my brothers and sister.  There is a quite a bit of detail to this card - the frayed end of the burlap ribbon, wood grain stamped and then the three layers offset on eachother.
Here's a close up where you can see the popped up acorn and layer, as well as the cutting around the wheat.
Just has a bit of a rustic feel that I love this time of year.  Just to let you know that I am grateful to all of you for being a part of my blog family.   ~Maureen

Advanced Cards Class with Heidi

Recently I was able to go to Heidi's Stamp Camp and just STAMP!! How fun that was - I rarely just enjoy the time stamping without having to do the prep.  So this was great.  It was her Advanced Card class - so the cards had a bit more going on.  The first card was a shaker card -  and I loved it.  How fun would this be to get in the mail.

The second card was this ornament card made with the Festive Flurries set.  The ornament actually hangs in the open circle and pulls out to be hung on your tree.  Fun!!

New Demonstrator Welcome

We had a great response to SU's last demonstrator and added 13 new demonstrators to the Crazy Stamping lady downline.  So last Saturday I hosted a welcome meeting for any of them that could come.  We ended up with 7 of us there and had a great time sharing ideas and asking questions.  Then we did a project that could easily be given as a hostess gift - this set of three quick and easy notecards.
We used a couple of great sets- Blooming Kindness for the Verses and Creative Elements or the flourish behind the butterflies, and our two butterfly punches - along with Concord and Island Indigo papers to create the cards, then packaged them in a cute little package using our Chevron gift bags.
Here's the set completed and ready to give as a gift.
This set would be great made with any of our color groups - so you could vary it to the tastes of your hostess.  Just wanna give a shout out to my new gals - welcome to SU and the CSL's!  ~Maureen

Heidi and I are launching our own monthly Stamping kits using all Stampin' Up! products - we're calling it H2O (Have 2 Own paper crafting kits to quench your creative thirst) , and it's time for our second month!   From all of the comments - it seems to be a hit - and guess what - we listened to what you want.  So already this month you can choose if you'd like your kits to be-

                                        2) a mixture of CARDS and 3D items.
You will receive the same choice as your previous month, unless you let us know by the 10th.*

Our kits will come directly from us and will use Stampin' Up! products - so the quality of the kits you get will be the every day SU! quality - and we know that has been an issue with the current kits.  So we think you'll love these new H2O kits.
Here's a picture of what you were able to make with the October kit.  So you can see - you won't want to miss the NOVEMBER deadline of the 10th to sign-up.  Click HERE for the order form.

Q: What is H2O?
A: It is a kit of Stampin' Up! products and materials - coming directly and exclusively from your demonstrators - Heidi King or Maureen Rauchfuss.
Q: When Will I Be Billed?
A: Your credit card will be charged as soon as kit is ordered - approximately the 11th* of each month. You will get an e-mail notifying you that your card has been charged.
Q: What comes in my H2O Kit?
A: It's a surprise each month—anticipation for the surprise is seriously half the fun!  You will get stamps; markers/spots or pads; kit materials and accessories. (You will need your own adhesives and scissors.)  You'll be given an opportunity to swap out a different product if you already own some of the products in the kit.  But you must take advantage of this swap option by the sign-up deadline each month.
Q: Is my subscription on auto renew?
A: Yes, your subscription is on auto renew and we are asking for a minimum three month commitment.  For example, if you sign up in November - we'll order you the November, December and January kits automatically.  After that you can cancel at any time. Simply notify us on or before the 10th* of the month in order to skip H2O for that month or to cancel completely.  Otherwise the kits will continue to be ordered until you tell us to stop.
Q: When do I need to sign up in order to get my H2O for a specific month?
A: You need to sign up by the 10th of the month by 10 PM* in order to receive your H2O for that month. If you sign up after that ―no worries! You will get your first kit the following month.  (Order form attached)

You can pick up any time after they are ready - and you will also receive a full-color PDF by email with pictures and tips by the 20th of the month, so you can complete your projects at home.  But, if you like, during our Open Crops each month we will also have the PDF's displayed as well as our samples at a table where you can complete your projects.  Cost for Open Crop time is $5.00 plus a snack to share - and besides doing your H2O projects - you can bring other projects you are working on to complete.  There will be an Open Crop each month on an evening at Heidi's and a weekend afternoon at Maureen's.
Swap out options For November's H2O kit -
The monthly kit is $25.00, and November's kit will include a single Holiday stamp (see attached picture) (value $5.95 and a white craft ink pad ($7.50).  You can swap out any of these products if you already own them for other items up to the value (but not over) of what I've indicated.  You need to let us know you are going to don this by the sign-up date for that month, and let us know which products you'd like in exchange.  But, remember, if you choose to do this, you will need these items to complete your projects, and you must bring them if you come to Open Crop to complete your projects.  Finally, this month's kit will require a clear "D" stamping block - if you do not own one you may wish to consider purchasing one, so that you can do more wonderful projects with your stamps.

A Special Day with Kamili

Last weekend I had my Special Gramma Day with Kamili - I let her pick anywhere she wanted to have lunch and she chose Corner Bakery.  When I asked what she wanted for lunch - she said claim chowder and a healthy sandwich - so that's what we had.  She is such an amazing eater - and love healthy food so much - wish I was a little more like her that way - I was hoping for the PIZZA!!
After lunch we headed over to Paint a Dream and she picked a cute little pumpkin and kitty to paint.  Gramma held it while she put on three coats of paint, and then I added the kitty and mousey eyes.  The rest was all her.  here I am with my sweetie!!
We had to wait a week - but this is how her creation turned out once we picked it up.  How cute is that.
We had such a nice time together - heading back to Gramma's and having ice cream for dessert and making yummy caramels (although I overcooked them a bit :( ).
Looking forward to my next Gramma day with you!!!   Love you!  ~Gramma

Fall Hostess Gift

Our final project at Club this month is this cute little package of tealights.  We stamped the box randomly with leaves from Gently Falling and the spots from Gorgeous Grunge.  Then we also stamped the same images onto tissue paper.
To make the tealights match the box, we punched a small circle for the wick to come through, then a larger circle as big as the candle to lay on the tealight.  Then using our heat tool, we gently melted the tealight until the tissue paper melted onto it.
Then tied some Pumpkin Pie Chevron ribbon and added a "thank you".  Wouldn't this make an adorable gift to leave on the plate of each of your Thanksgiving guests?  I think so!  ~Maureen

Happy Halloween!

Hi All - Snoopy, Woodstock and I are wishing you all a happy and safe Halloween.  Looking forward to spending the evening with my seven littlest goblins~
So, as promised I wanted to share my Halloween Shaker card with  you.   At my last Cards stamp camp we made this card - http://www.crazystampinglady.blogspot.com/2013/10/stamp-camp-card-2.html
I LOVE the negative images left when we punch things out, so I save the negative images from the card, and we made these adorable shaker cards.  It uses the single Halloween Happiness stamp.  I then cut down our clear envelopes to fit right over that stamped image and we filled the envelopes with chunky glitter and several different punched out shapes.
Then sealed the base layer, the clear envelope with shaker items, and the negative image layer, and taped it together all the way around with our Halloween washi tape.  I was really happy with how they turned out.
There are so many awesome way to make shakers and they are so much fun!  Hope you enjoyed!! ~Maureen

October technique Card

So this month for my club we did Shaker Cards.  For our technique instruction card for our binders I used the Blast Off set.  I don't have this set, so borrowed it from my daughter, Heidi.  But now I see it is stinkin' cute.  What a great little boy's birthday card this would make.  I just may have to invest in this set for myself.
We used the window sheets, and SU's shaker frames - which work perfect for shaker cards.  Inside - some dazzling diamonds - Moon Dust that has sneaked into the rocket ship :)
Stop back soon to see the Halloween card we made using a shaker card technique.  See you soon!  ~Maureen
