Great Masculine Card

Had to share this great masculine card that we made at the Fall Stamp Camp - I absolutely love this color combo - Very Vanilla, Basic Gray, Basic Black and Cherry Cobbler.  The set is SU's Guy Greetings - and it is full of wonderful pictures and sentiments to make some great cards for the men in your life.
But my favorite part of the card is this little box in the front.  You can see it better in the side view.  By adding it you get wonderful dimension on the card - and it still folds flat to mail.  You just fold the box, tape it, and attach it to the front of your card.  Then that works for the base to attach the circle with the car image.  Also, I really love the splatters that mimic oil spills - those were made from some of the terrific images in the Gorgeous Grunge set - a must have.
Hope this card inspires you to try a new card fold or technique.  Just keep those creative juices flowing!!  See you soon and Happy WEEKEND!!  ~Maureen

Painted Petals--

Here is the second card we made at the Cards Stamp Camp this week - it uses one of my very favorite sets that is going away - Painted Petals.  It's still available - but will not be returning in the new catalog that begins June 2.  It is just such a fun and amazing set - and even though it has some cute phrases in it - I chose to use sentiments from another of our sets - Lovely Amazing You - the font is just so adorable.

And then to add a bit of character we added splatters from quite possibly my MOST used set - Gorgeous Grunge.  Just so many fun elements in that set - that it is out on my creative table pretty much all the time.  Here's the inside of the card- since the base was so dark we added a layer with a cute little floral accent in the corner.

The colors used are Pistachio Pudding (one of the current in-colors that is retiring), plus Hello Honey and Rich Razzleberry - I CASED a similar card I saw on Pinterest and changed it up a bit.

Beautiful set - if you haven't gotten yours - contact me NOW to buy it before it's gone!! See you soon! ~Maureen

October Advanced Card Class - part II

First of all - Happy Halloween - hope you have a safe and fun Halloween with those you love!
Now moving right into November :) It is the season of Thanksgiving - well at least for me - I strive to be thankful every day of the year.  So it was so fun for me to create this cute little tunnel card to celebrate that Thankfulness.  This was the second card we made at this month's advanced card class.
Here it is a little more from a side angle so you can see how much dimension it has.  It folds flat to fit into a regular envelope and then pull it out, push in gently on the sides and it forms this little tunnel.
Here's another angle showing the crinkled, splattered and sponged leaves and acorn and the stamped envelope.
Finally a close up - just so you can really see all the detail on this card.  LOVE IT!!
Today was a really rough day for me, but posting this card brough a smile to my face and reminded me how much I have to be thankful for.  Hope you like it too - I'd love to hear from you!  ~Maureen

Tap, Tap, Tap

Look at this great card we made at our Downline Meeting last week.  Heidi volunteered to one of our projects this month and this is what she came up with.  The card uses our Tap, Tap, Tap set and the Gorgeous Grunge set for the ink splatters.
We stamped, watercolored, highlighted and cut out the typewriter and popped it up on dimensionals. Here's a close-up of the typewriter.

Fall Hostess Gift

Our final project at Club this month is this cute little package of tealights.  We stamped the box randomly with leaves from Gently Falling and the spots from Gorgeous Grunge.  Then we also stamped the same images onto tissue paper.
To make the tealights match the box, we punched a small circle for the wick to come through, then a larger circle as big as the candle to lay on the tealight.  Then using our heat tool, we gently melted the tealight until the tissue paper melted onto it.
Then tied some Pumpkin Pie Chevron ribbon and added a "thank you".  Wouldn't this make an adorable gift to leave on the plate of each of your Thanksgiving guests?  I think so!  ~Maureen

MORE Coffee Cards

So you might remember me sharing these coffee cards a bit back - http://www.crazystampinglady.blogspot.com/2013/09/august-club-hostess-gift.html  - they were such a hit, and I got so much great feedback on them - that I decided to do a very similar card at my September Cards, Cards, Cards stamp camp.
By now, most of you know I am a coffee addict - so I really LOVED making these cards again.  The images are from Pefect Blend, and the coffee splotches - from Gorgeous Grunge.
Really cute huh!?!  Stop back for the next card we made at this Stamp Camp. ~Maureen

August Club Hostess gift...

Back to my stamp club - today I want to share the gift I made for this month's Hostess - each month I give a 4 pack of coordinating cards in one of our great Chevron bags - closed with a decorated clothespin.  This month our Hostess was Lois, and she loves coffee almost as much as I do - so she was the perfect person for me to use the "Perfect Blend" set for -
Here are the four cards I gave her - the "coffee" splatters are made using the Gorgeous Grunge set, I then paper pieced the cozy around the cup and added a little flower and gem for some sparkle.
Here's a close up of one of the cards so you can see what I did.  Cute huh?!?
I hope Lois like them!  Thanks for being a great hostess! ~Maureen
