Share It Sunday!! Free Tutorial - Every Chapter

It's time to share another great tutorial - Loving, loving this single stamp from the January - June mini catalog.  It's big enough to fill the front of you card - and what a great sentiment.  If you don't want that saying, you can always mask the words and then stamp anything you like.  This sample is done by stamping on different colors and paper piecing.

Daffodil Afternoon DSP - A Whole New Way!

How fun is this - we are in the last couple days of Sale-a-Bration (ends 2/28/2022); and I want to share a really cool way to use your DSP in more creative ways.  I was inspired by a post made by fellow demonstrator Janet Wakeland using the Daffodil Afternoon DSP (free during SAB with a $50 merchandise purchase).

It is really lovey and I have used on several cards - but then take our new Naturals blends and add some neutral tones and you can get an entirely new look for your cards -
Adding the natural blends over the colors on the DSP give you an entirely different look - a bit vintagey
Here is the card I made in today's facebook live - if you are on facebook you can watch my video here on how I placed colors - www.facebook.com/CrazyStampingLady/videos/1116160165865555   You an compare below the before on the left and the after on the card.
Prior to the video - I also made these two cards in a similar way -

I really love they way they turned out.  But then I thought why not try to brighten the DSP - I used some of my brighter blends - Pumpkin Pie, Bermuda Bay, etc. and colored some of the flowers.  On the left was the original and on the right a colored piece - really changes the look.
I hope you liked this coloring tip - and use it to change up your DSP to make it more to your liking for whatever project you may want to do.  It's a game-changer.  Be sure to let me know if you try it, and what you think! ~Maureen

  • Basic White:  5 1/8” x 3 7/8”

Instructions:

Adhere the Early Espresso layer to the Crumb Cake card base

  2. Use a die from Horizon Dies to cut the ‘sand’ from So Saffron cardstock and adhere – use the grass die and Granny Apple Green cardstock to create the dune grass and adhere in place.

  3. Use the sand die again to cut out a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock – trim to size and adhere onto the grass with Stampin’ Dimensionals

  4. Die cut the fence out of Crumb Cake cardstock, add a bow and adhere in place

  5. Stamp the sailboat using Early Espresso Ink and the sails using Coastal Cabana Ink – use the Sailboat Punch to cut out the pieces – glue the boat in place and add the sails with Stampin’ Dimensionals

  6. Stamp the seagulls at the left top and stamp the sentiment onto a scrap piece of white cardstock using Early Espresso Ink– cut out using a die from Tasteful Labels Dies and add to the card with Dimensionals

  7. Add some Rhinestone Jewels and adhere to the Espresso layer

Paper Crafting Blog Hop February 2022 - Sale-a-bration and Anything But a Card Theme

Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop for February 2022 - featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia. We have a wide array of fun projects and design styles to share with you this month - all spotlighting
projects that are Sale-a-bration Anything But a Card!

~*~*~*~*~

For my project I decided to use the Sale-a-bration free offering with a $50 purchase - Sunshine & Rainbows. This is such fun and whimsical paper - and can be used in so many ways.

I chose to made an adorable little treat package - perfect to hold many different offerings.

The Sun and Sentiment are from Kite Delight - a favorite out of the J-J Mini Catalog
This is such a simple little treat holder - here is a picture of my sketch from my notebook -
Just start with a 4" x 6" piece of DSP and score as indicated. Cut in on the two side score lines to the vertical score lines - then fold up and secure with adhesive.
This leaves you a cute, simple little box open on top, that you can fill. But I chose to add some candy and close mine up with a cute little clip I had - here are the components I used -

And here it is all finished and put together.

You can see how I pinched the sides in to made the little bag. I just love it and it is so easily reproduced with whatever you might have on hand.

~*~*~*~*~

Now click on through to the rest of those hopping with me this month to see all of their wonderful creations and inspirations! ~Maureen
