Road Rage - or at least a little Road Fun!

It's all about the guys today!  I know I have mentioned before that I have a ton of brothers and nephews whom I love dearly - but that means I always, always need masculine cards - so this month's birthday card class was focused on the guys in our lives.  This card is made with the Geared Up Garage suite of products in the current SU Occasions catalog.  I just love the map, the gears, the smudges and the car.  I saw a very similar card previously and adjusted it a bit to make it mine.
I wanted the car to be the focal point, but I know guys can be crazy possessive about their cars, so I decided to keep it really neutral and allow the rest of the card to be the statement.  In the image below I think you can see that we popped up the car on dimensionals right on top of the map - like this was going to be a fun drive to wherever life took us.
Probably my favorite element from the set is this awesome image that can be an oil stain, a smudge of dust, exhaust - or whatever else your imagination is up to.  I always love these fun images for collage cards and background texture - and this is a new favorite.  Looking forward to adding to other cards.  ~Maureen

Butterflies are flying away on April 1st!

Today I want to share some more items from Sale-a-bration that are still available, but will be gone as of March 1, 2019!  The first is our Botanical Butterfly paper that you can earn FREE with a $50 purchase!  It is simply lovely.  Below the projects are pretty much made with basically only that Designer Series Paper - the butterflies that are colored are on one side and black and white patterns on the other - and sentiments.  How I wish this would continue to be available, but that will not happen - so get yours NOW while you can.

Here is the front of the card - that sentiment is from the More Than Words set that is also ONLY available for purchase through the end of the month - April 1st -it is gone.
One of the greatest things about photopolymer stamps, is that you can place them on the block together to complete what sentiment and/or images you want to stamp.  Here I added the Birthday with the WISHES and was able to stamp once, then cut out on the big shot with our stitched framelits.
Here is a side view so you can see how I curled up the edges of the leaves as well as the butterfly wings.
I think it is just soooo pretty -
I also wanted to share a special little gift one of my customers and team members (JEN B.) gave me.  If you look at the first photo in this post you will see that we decorated the little treat cups with the butterfly paper for an adorable little package you could fill with goodies.  Well, Jen took it one step further by adding this dome to the top, filled with shred and butterflies popped up on wires to make this amazing creation.
Here's another view from the top - I just really love this and the possibilities are endless!  Thank you so much Jen, for thinking of me and gifting me with one of these!  ~Maureen

Sea of Textures FUN!

So during this time of year everything seems to be focused on our Occasions catalog and our Sale-a-bration catalog.  But today I'm headed back to a favorite set in our Annual catalog - Sea of Textures.  I love this set - in fact the entire suite of products that goes with it is beautiful.
So I've made several of these cards for friends who have been entering the retirement stage of life.  Believe me - retirement is a WONDERFUL adventure!
This card is sponged with some Tranquil Tide - the I stamped the sea weed in varying heights in both Tranquil Tide and Fresh Fig.  I also stamped a few in Fresh Fig and fussy cut them to layer onto the front to give the card some dimension.  The octopus is also stamped and I cut him out with the coordinating framelits and popped him up too.
You can see that dimension in the view above.  And the little gems I added for bubbles :)  Hope you liked this card - see you soon!  ~Maureen

SF March Hop - Easter/Pastels

This month our hop is about Easter and Pastels - and I hope you like all the projects you see.  Be sure to go to the bottom and hop on through the other links after you've checked out my post.  I've created two projects that are Eastery or Springy and contain pastels that I simply love. This card was made using SU's decorative plastic mats and a spritzer containing rubbing alcohol and several drops of Basic Gray reinker.  I love the soft, almost trellis like background it gives me to build my bouquet on.
Here it is again.  The bouquet is made up of stems and flowers from SU's Bouquet Bunch framelits - and the sentiment is from the coordinating Beautiful Bouquet stamp set -as are the flowers on the envelope.
Here it is again in better light so can see the detail.
Then I also made these adorable treat holders that are so quick and simple and hold a sweet little Merci chocolate.
From the side you can see a bit of the dimension and how this is put together.
Below is a pattern with measurements.  If you have an questions on it, feel free to email me at crazystampinglady@gmail.com.

Here is a close up of just one of the treats.  Wouldn't this be great on each plate for your Easter dinner - or even with each quest's name on them for place settings.
I hope you liked my projects and got some inspiration.  I would love it if you left me a comment below.  Don't forget to click through on each name below to see even more wonderful Posts.  See you soon! ~Maureen
