Last Day to ORDER this amazing BUNDLE!

I am so sad this amazing Color Your Season promotion is leaving us - SU! put it out for a limited 1 month only - and I have loved it!  Last Sunday I hosted a class for those who had purchased the bundle (and a couple who had not :) - and today I'm going to share those projects.
You can order this beautiful stamp set full of wonderful images and sentiments  - I especially like the font used in this set - plus there is something there for every season of the year.
We made these beautiful little boxes using the set and our alcohol markers - SU Blends - to color them.
Very simple pattern - that I will share in a day or two with full measurements and details. So be sure to stop back for that.  You can also buy these amazing framelits - they coordinate with the set - and the larger images leave a stitched image around the cut out and the negative image left so you can use both pieces on your projects.  How cool is that!

So we used those to make these festive Christmas Cards - just look how cute those sprigs and bow look.  But my favorite are those three layering shapes in the set above.  Just look how elegant looking on this card layout.
Or you can bundle the set and the framelits - #149894 for $64.75 Clear-mount - that's a 10% savings.  But today - August 31 - is the very last day to order these - then they are gone!
The final item in this special are the Watercolor Pencils Asst 2 below.  These are different colors than we currently carry in our Annual catalog - and they may (or may not) come back in the future.
So here is the project we made using them.  These beautiful fall cards.
Here is a close up so you can see the beauty - the leaves were actually colored with the watercolor pencils, then blended using the Wink of Stella pen - to add all that amazing glimmer with no effort at all -
To order your products today while they are still available go to www.stampingwithmaureen.stampinup.net - choose SHOP NOW and you can enter the item numbers I shared above with the product pictures.   Then get ready for some creativity!!  See you all soon with more creative inspiration ~Maureen

Reverse Stamping and a step outside my comfort zone!

So - for our August Club we did Reverse Image Stamping as our technique for this month.  This is really super easy to do with our Stamparatus - but I wanted to demonstrate how easy it is to do with just our silicone mat.  So for club that was the route we went -

But then here is where (with a little push from my granddaughter Paisley) I stepped out of my comfort zone.  I did my very first YouTube video - I would love for you guys to check it out and subscribe to my channel - as this is the first of many to come.  At first I did not want to even post it, as I had my camera going the wrong way - but after watching it still works.  So --- I figure it was my first - and I'll be able to look back on it some day and laugh lol! Here it is below - and you can go to this link if you want to find it on YouTube and subscribe - https://youtu.be/JzjUN4Xe3qY
So here is the card I made with this little birdies from the video - I had seen another card with the hole cut out and some thing embossed behind it and it reminded me of a birdhouse.  I thought it was perfect for a wedding card - these two little chickadees are setting up house. The layer of Crumb Cake that is embossed is put on with dimensionals - so there is actually a little space between those layers - which I love.
Above you can see how I stamped the envelope - and here is the inside of the card - I left that embossed layer showing on the inside too.  I think it is really pretty and this side shows the debossed section of it.
To color my birdies I used the limited time set of watercolor pencils that is available for August.  Don't miss out on these beautiful colors if you like watercoloring - as they are lovely!
Hope you all have an amazing, creative day!  See ya'll soon - and let me know if you try the Reverse Image stamping and how it goes!  ~Maureen

Alaskan Cruise - Day 6

So we started Day 6 right with this amazing breakfast of lox and bagels; as well as oatmeal, OJ and of course my traditional 6 cups of coffee :)  The coffee was really good on the cruise - which was a bonus for me.
Today I spent a quite a bit of time at the Share Fair that SU! arranged for us - seeing some wonderful demonstrators at their stations - and getting pictures of their awesome projects.
My favorite was this station that my friend, Amy Combs had with all new Christmas products - it was just fabulous, as is she.
Below is some of her beautiful work.  Believe me I say I plan to CASE some of it for my classes - why reinvent the wheel when she has done such a good job!  Thank Amy - you're the best!

After that, we headed down to base camp one more time to spin the wheel and win a prize - so here are all the prizes I won in Base Camp this week.  How fun is all of that!

Once again, our pillow gift did not disappoint.  We got this amazing Making Christmas Bright bundle from the new Holiday Catalog.  Speaking of which - if you would like a Holiday catalog from me - just let me know and I'll get one out to you!
Not only that - but this adorable guy was waiting for us when we got back to our cabin - end to another wonderful day!  Although we spent some time sitting out on the balcony enjoying the warm evening.
Getting a little sad to think this is coming to an end soon - but not quite yet.  Stop back in a couple days for our final cruise moments.  Till then - I'll be throwing some stamping projects in.  ~Maureen

August In Color Club

Hi All - hope your week is going great! Today I'm sharing the monochromatic cards I made for my 5 month In-color Club packets in August.  Each month they get a packet of one new in color and everything that coordinates with it - plus a hand made card from me they can use as a sample.  I have had so much fun with these.  So here are the five cards - in the five new In-colors - Lovely Lipstick, Call Me Clover, Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch and Blueberry Bushel -

Aren't they so pretty!  I went the simple route with these using our Accented Blooms set and the coordinating Tailored Tag punch.  What a great simple notecard to send to a friend.  You can see below - I also stamped the little flowers on the envelope.

Alaskan Cruise - Day 5

And the fun continues - this was a day pretty much at sea and this was the first sight I had off my balcony in the morning  - look at that great layer of fog!
Shortly after this we entered the Tracy Arm Fjord - and as our ship went around - we were surrounded by pure beauty.  There were mountain goats up there - but so far away I could not zoom in enough to get them.  But you can see the stream coming down the hill - so amazing.
All around us were chunks of blue ice.  They say it is blue from being so very crystal clear, all of the ice crystals have been pressed out and it reflects the sky causing it to seem blue.  It was surreal.

The next two pictures are of glacier fields - so much ice right in the midst of the mountains.  So much beauty to be seen.

After leaving Tracy Arm -we had the rest of the day at sea.  So we spent some time down in base camp chatting with other demonstrators, spinning to win a prize -
and eating a few sweets.  These bins (and several other tables full of bins) were filled with sweet treats daily for us.

I'm pretty sure this was the night I tried escargot - just because I could :)  It was offered as one of the appetizers every night - and actually was really pretty yummy.  Not a lot of flavor on it's own, so just really tasted the butter and garlic - can't go wrong there.  The texture was a little like mushrooms, not disgusting at all.  And see that cup of coffee!  The assistant for our table got to know me real quickly and each night I barely sat down before the coffee cup was there filled to rim, and he kept it filled through the entire meal.  Wish I could have brought him home with me lol!
Another picture of some of the amazing desserts we enjoyed - this night was Baked Alaska and Creme Brulee!

Of course back in our room - more pillow gifts.  In the box was a bluetooth Speaker!
And then this little guy - just waiting for us to return.  Everyone took such good care of us the entire cruise.
See you in a couple days with Day 6 - next post will be some stamping!  Tata for now - Maureen
