Pigment Sprinkles - color your life!

So the Last Chance list is out for Stampin' Up! - it always makes me feel like I have a split personality.  On the one hand - I am sooooo sad to see so many things that I love retire :(  But, on the other hand - I am so excited for all of the new products we will get to purchase and play with soon!!  This year is no different - and one of my favorite items that is retiring is the Pigment Sprinkles.  I just love how fun and vibrant they are - so I wanted to share a few of my projects before they are gone -
A couple of my technique clubs were fortunate enough to get to play with these, but with the COVID-19 shutdown - not all - so I hope they are able to check out this post.  Above is a sampler of the different sprinkle colors.  Below is a copy of the card they get for their binders -
For the last club I did these with - it was their renewal month and we always do a special project - so here are the card the project we made.  This was one that a club member made -
Here are a couple more cards - made in other colors.  The flowers were embossed with black embossing powder, then we added the sprinkles, spritzed them and dried before completing.
I just think they turned out so lovely -
And here are a couple more of the 3D project we made.  These are just Canvases I picked up at the Dollar Store.  We added the pigment sprinkles, spritzed them and let dry.  Once dry we added the cut out images as silhouettes to finish our art work.

You can see in the picture below how we curved some of the butterfly wings to give these some dimension.
These canvases were attached with a few glue dots to the front of an acrylic frame stand - so that we could stand them up on our desks.

I really love how they all turned out and have give a few as gifts.  I hope you like them to.  I'd encourage you to check out the Last Chance list of products available - as supplies are only while supplies last or until the new catalog starts in June - whichever comes first.  There are some great things there - including many on sale - so don't miss out!  ~Maureen

April Paper Pumpkin

I LOVED April's Paper Pumpkin kit and had so much fun creating in my Paper Pumpkin club - we made our first three cards - pretty much just as they came in the kit - and they were just lovely -
Card 1~
Card 2~
Card 3~
Then we made this  alternative card - using components of the kit -
It is a center pop up card -
I love how the rose seems to just be floating there in the air.
Then I shared an alternative card using the kit - but different colors and layout -
and a card using another color scheme and layout -
And finally my Memories and More scrapbook layout using kit components.  I try to do one layout from each of the monthly kits to fill up my scrapbook - now just to add picture :)
This kit was great - but still it challenges me to have my Club and come up with ideas they can make with the kit.  I hope you liked them.  Paper Pumpkin is a monthly subscription kit that will send you an amazing package once a month of fabulous, creative projects - all for about $20 a month.  May's kit is going to be amazing too - it was designed by our Stampin' Up! founder, Shelli Gardner, and reflects her "vintagey" style to a tee.
I really love it so much - you'll make 12 cards total with this kit, 3 each of 4 designs.  But to get it you MUST subscribe to Paper Pumpkin not later than May 10 - and I'd advise sooner, because this kit might sell out!  Click on this link for more information on Paper Pumpkin and subscribe now - https://www.paperpumpkin.com/en-us/sign-up/?demoid=6426
See you all soon with more creative, fun ideas!!  ~Maureen

Paper Flower Wreath!

So everywhere I look on Pinterest I see these awesome hoop wreaths that use one or both rings of an embroidery hoop for their base.  For my latest club renewal I wanted to try my hand at making one with all paper flowers and Stampin' Up! products, and this is what I came up with.  I love how it turned out - perfect for this SPRINGY time of year.
Since it is a Technique Club - these paper roses were our technique for the month.  But the group got to make some other fun flowers for the wreath too.  Plus we used some great punches and ribbons to fill out the clusters.
So below is the daisy - we punched three daisies and curved the leaves then attached together with glue dots as shown below.  We then punched two small flowers and layered them for the center along with a gem.
For the small posies it was two medium sized flowers punched and layered with a single small and a pearl for the center.
This butterfly is from the Springtime Impressions thinlits.  We cut it out of Petal Pink - sponged the edges with Lipstick, curled the wings a bit and added some gems for the body.

Finally we made our roses - punched six hearts and two scallop circles.  Sponged all the edges and cut slits in the scallops as shown.  Then everything was spritzed with water, and layered onto the brad - first the scallops, then the hearts.
We folded each layer up tight to the center - taking one layer at a time.  Scrunching it all together tightly.
Then we gently re-opened each layer until we saw our roses forming before our eyes.
The final step was putting it all together on our wreathes - here's the group proudly displaying their works of art!
Here again is my completed project.  I have it hanging on my wall as in the first picture of this blog post.  But it could also be displayed on a pretty easel - or even mounted in a shadow box.  It was a lot of fun to make - so I made another for my mother-in-law to put on her door at the care facility she lives in.
Here is a copy of the Technique card we added to our books -

You all need to try your hand at this fun project and see what you can come up with!  Enjoy!  ~Maureen

Prize #8 - Snail Adhesive. Used in today's project -
~*~*~*~*~
So today I am sharing a quick and easy gift you can still make for the holidays.  It is a Easel Card that includes a small calendar.  I ordered mine early - so it may be too late to get the calendars on time - but you could print one from online or substitute a small package of post it notes.
These are the gifts that I mailed out to my TEAM members and current CLUB members for the holidays as a thank you for their support.   I made 71 of them!  The background image was created by cutting apart some of the beautiful folders we as demonstrators can order from Stampin' Up!  I was able to get 6 layers from each folder.  Then depending on the design I ended up with - they were stamped with one of several different inspirational verses.
If you don't have those folders - all you need to do is stamp a layer in any design you'd like.  Here is a simple pattern for making your own easel cards -
All of they layers were just adhered together with snail adhesive.
Since they fold pretty flat - I was able to send them in a regular envelope - that I had to decorate to coordinate of course.
Hope you enjoyed this project, and will try making some easel gifts of your own.
If you are interested in any of these items you can place an order at www.stampingwithmaureen.stampinup.net and click on SHOP NOW.  Be sure to check out all the new items on the Clearance Rack - as well as the Year-End Clearance while you are there.
