Paper Pumpkin Possibilities - July 2026 - Hooray for Birthdays

Welcome to our Paper Pumpkin Possibilities blog hop!!!  I am so excited to be a part of this team of hoppers sharing alternative designs for each month's Paper Pumpkin kit.  This month's kit is all about the July 2026 "Hooray for Birthdays" kit!!  Hopefully what we show will inspire you.  Be sure to hop all the way through to see what this amazing team has come up with!

Another super fun kit - and the kit starts out a fun-fold cards - so instead of me going to a fun-fold - I went back to regular A2 bases.  One of the best things about this kit is the abundance of flowers you get - you can keep making cards and it will take you a long time to run out.

Alternative #1 - 

I cut one of the easel sections apart and mounted it onto a base of Strawberry Slush cardstock.  Using one of the dots from the included stamp set - I added dots with Barely Blush and Crisp Cantaloupe inks. Then added sentiments and flowers and voila - how wonderful is that.

I also finished the inside of the card and envelope - 

Did basically the same thing with this card - cut the blue layer down and placed it on a Basic Beige A2 base.  Besides the sentiments and flowers on this one; I added a few of the Current In-color butterfly embellishments.

And then finished the inside and the envelope.  In this case adding some of the die cut flowers to the inside.

November Paper Pumpkin - Alternative Project #1

So my Paper Pumpkin class for the November kit is over and I can now share what we did as our alternatives - here is the first project - 

Tips to duplicate -

Start with a Poppy Parade A2 Base.

Take one of the Christmas Trees from the kit and cut off about 1/2" from the bottom, then cut the tree in half vertically.  This will be able to make two cards, one on the right and one on the left.

Next cut one of the presents' layers apart -

Just cut around each of the top four presents - creating four individual gifts.  Keep the two bottom presents together for another project later.

Stamp the sentiment onto one of the tags and layer onto card at angle as shown.  Tie a double bow with the pink twine and attach with a glue dot.  Place three of the presents you cut apart layering as shown.  Pop the Christmas tree half up on dimensionals and add Wink of Stella to the ornaments.  Finish the inside with a stamped piece of 4" x 5 1/4" Basic White and add the other single present to the inside.

October Paper Pumpkin - Alternative Project #2

So my Paper Pumpkin class for the October kit is over and I can continue to share what we did as our alternatives - here is the second project -

Tips

So for this card start with a green base from the kit – then you'll need a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Real Red, one of the green plaid layers from the kit, and the other half of the card base from my 1st alternative, cut to 3 1/4" x 4 1/2".   You'll also need some red gems, a soft succulent blend and 6" of the silver mesh ribbon.

To start - color one of the trees with the blend.  Cut the center out of the plaid layer

using the largest die from the Stitched So Sweetly dies.  

Keep the center for our next card.  Then adhere the colored tree layer to the plaid border and that to the red layer.  Tie a knot in the center of the ribbon and adhere around these layers; before adhering all to the base.  Stamp your sentiment on one of the labels and pop-up on dimensionals, then add several gems.  Finish inside of card as you like using stamps from the kit set.

Halloween Pop-Up Coffin - treat box

So last week I shared another version of this coffin box from Stampin' Up!  It has been so much fun playing with these boxes and making up treat containers for my grandkids to enjoy.

Today I'm sharing a POP-UP version.  First I decorated the top of the box with some Designer Series paper  - I got a simple template by tracing around the box top and cutting out in cardboard so I could reuse it.  Next I added a few components from the September Paper Pumpkin kit to decorate the lid.

But what is really fun about this treat box, is that when you open the lid - up pops this little Paper Pumpkin kit skeleton.  How fun is that.  He is just attached to the inside of the box with some acetate.  After you fill the box with treats - bend mister skeleton back and close the box - when you open it - this is what you will see :)

Scary Paper Pumpkin Banner

Today I'm sharing a quick post that features a cute little September Paper Pumpkin kit alternative.  Below is the kit components we received.  It was made to make little treat boxes - but you can use it for so much more.  This kit comes to you monthly in the mail - each month features different projects - and if you haven't yet tried it, well, you just need too!  November's kit is a set of 24 Christmas gift tags - and they promise to be beautiful - but you must sign up by 11/10 to get yours - here's the LINK!

As soon as I saw those purple and black tags and the mini black clothespins - I immediately thought BANNER!

So we took the tags and alternated the colors - added the letters for SCARY - and a couple cute stamped skeletons for good measure - and created this adorable Halloween banner.

It is very lightweight - so here it is hung up on the bottom of a picture frame with just a couple glue dots.  When Halloween is done, I can pull off the glue dots and put away till next year.

August Paper Pumpkin Alternatives

I love FALL - all the smells, colors, sights and the cooler weather.  And I super loved this month's Paper Pumpkin kit -

It was gift bags (to which I will admit I am a little addicted) - so it was right up my alley - but not for everyone.  So Stampin' Up offered a great add-on to this month's kit for those who wanted to just make cards.  Here is the information - and although it is while supplies last - as of this morning it was still available.

This month I started a new Paper Pumpkin class - that I hope to offer each month.  At the class, those who attend bring their own kits to work on, and I provide 3 alternative kits and written instructions, which are also sent out after to all my PP subscribers.  During the class they can make up their kit as is, or use the alternatives, or both - either way the kits are theirs to keep.  PLUS - for class attendees only I bring a print out of a fourth alternative with directions.  So here are this months alternatives -
