Share it Sunday! Free tutorial - Spooky Halloween

Happy Sunday - hoping your weekend is going great. Time to share another great project and free tutorial! Loving this "Spooky Halloween" bundle so much.  I hope you like this card as much as I do!

Spooky Halloween

Supplies:

·       Stamp Sets: Spooky Halloween (166192)

·       Card Stock and Paper: Basic Black (121045); Petunia Pop (163801); Spooky Sweet Designer Series Paper (DSP) (166191)

·       Stamp Pads: Tuxedo Black Memento Ink (132708)

·       Tools: Paper Trimmer (152390)

·       Miscellaneous: Shimmer Star Foam Stickers (166202); Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430); Stampin’ Seal Adhesive (152813)

Measurements:

·       Petunia Pop: 5 ½” x 8 ½”  scored @ 4 ¼”, 1” x 2 1/4”

·       Basic Black: 5 5/8” x 4 1/8”

·       DSP: 4” x 5 ½”, 3” x 1”

Instructions:

1.    Measure, score, and cut your paper.

2.    Stamp “No tricks all treats” onto the Petunia Pop 1” x 2 ¼” with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Fussy cut around the stamped words. Stamp also the inside of the card with the same ink the saying “Happy Halloween”.

3.    Cut around the banner piece of the DSP to make it 1” x 2 ¾”.

4.    Pop up of the Spooky Sweet DSP the die cuts of the hippo and bird.

5.    Assemble: Adhere the Basic Black to the DSP and attach all of that to the cardbase front. Using Stampin’ Dimensionals attach the banner, the stamped greeting, and the DSP die cut creatures.

6.    Embellish with 3 of the Shimmer Stars in the Petunia Pop color by the banner.

Simple Sketch #19 Challenge - October 2024

 

Join me for some FUN! Each month (almost) I will be doing a new sketch challenge around the last week to 10 days of the month.

A Monthly Sketch Challenge!

Here is the sketch! Use it as your inspiration - your card should contain all the layers, but you can take some liberty with them. Add any embellishments you wish.

You might recognize this from my FB Live Video 10/25/2024 - here is the card I created -

 Just use the sketch and have fun.  The rest is up to you - just try and have similar layers!  Feel free to even change the size of the card or the orientation.  The coloring on the sketch, is just to show the layers - use any colors you wish!!  Here are the measurements I used -

My measurements –

Base 5 ½ x 8 ½ scored at 4 ¼” vertical

Layer 1 – 4” x 5 1/4” (embossed)

Banner 1 – 1” x 5”

Banner 2 – 2” x 3 1/2”

Banner 3 – 2” x 3 1/4”

 Scraps for punches and or die cuts

Ribbon or twine

Post the card(s) you make in the comments of my Facebook Business page HERE, find the pinned Sketch challenge post at the top of my page (might be under featured) and be sure to post by 10/31/2024, so they can be entered in my drawing on 11/1/2024. Paper Crafting Blog Hop October 2024 - the Season of Fall!

 

Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop for October 2024 - featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia. We have a wide array of projects and design styles to share with you this month - and every one of them is spotlighting projects that reflect the season where we each live!

For my project I decided to play with the Autumn Leaves set and dies on page 74 of our annual catalog. I so love everything about fall - the crisp air, cooler temperatures, less bugs, but one of my very favorite things is the changing leaves color. So I thought I'd share a bit about my process - I stamped and cut out a bunch of leaves and then laid them on my embossed piece of Crumb Cake to find my layout. Here was my first try - I laid it out and took a picture so that I could recreate it.

But I really didn't love it - so I tried again - took another picture and then I could compare them on my phone.

I liked this one much better!  So I glued all the leaves down and pulled out my dauber to add Cajun Crave to the leaves, to make them a little more natural looking.

Then I pulled out my Rhinestone Jewels and my Cajun Craze blend to color some for my card -

I layered my leaf layer onto a layer of Cajun Craze and onto a card base of Very Vanilla.  Added a double linen thread bow and scattered the colored gems on the front of the card - and LOVE it!

Here's a close up of the details that just made me happy!!

Share it Sunday! Free tutorial - Citrus Blooms

Measurements:

 ·       Lemon Lolly Card Stock: 4 1/4” x 11”

·       Night of Navy Card Stock: (3) 1 5/8” x 3 7/8”

·       Basic White Card Stock: scraps (label)

·       DSP: (3) 1 1/2” x 3 3/4”, fussy cut lemon bunch image, 2 3/8” x 6” (envelope flap)

·       Ribbon: 8”

Instructions:

 1.    Score & burnish card base @ 5 1/2”

2.    Adhere designer paper to Night of Navy pieces, adhere to card front.  Start with the outer pieces first, then center piece

3.    Fussy cut a lemon bunch, adhere to card front with dimensionals

4.    Die cut label, stamp greeting, adhere with dimensionals

5.    Tie bow, adhere to lemon bunch with mini glue dot

6.    Embellish with Rhinestone Basic Jewels

7.    Adhere remaining designer paper to envelope flap, trim off excess
