Another super fun kit - certainly elicites feelings of bike riding all day long in the summer months growing up in WI.  Love the kit (as usual) just the way it comes; I decided to change up the blue bike on yellow to make it into a fun gatefold card by trimming it down 1/8" each way and then cutting in half to put 1/2 on each side -

Made a few additional changes - I added the color Lost Lagoon by stamping the Happy Birthday, and the flowers twice, fussy cutting and adding to the basket; plus one on the sentiment. I flagged the end of the green layer and extended it under the sentiment; moved the linen thread bow to the basket, and used the butterfly dies from the die set below.  Then when you open it -
My base is Lost Lagoon 4 1/4" x 11 scored at 2 3/4" in from each end to create the gatefold.  Inside I used a piece of the yellow based cut to 4" x 5 1/4" and stamped with Lost Lagoon and added a Calypso Coral fussy cut  flower.  Then I finished my envelope to coordinate -
I hope you've enjoyed this alternative idea.  Don't forget about the Add-On dies for this quarter's kits as they are wonderful -

Paper Pumpkin Possibilities - April 2026 - Lakeside Retreat

Welcome to our Paper Pumpkin Possibilities blog hop!!!  I am so excited to be a part of this team of hoppers sharing alternative designs for each month's Paper Pumpkin kit.  This month's kit is all about the April 2026 "Lakeside Retreat" kit!!  Hopefully what we show will inspire you.  Be sure to hop all the way through to see what this amazing team has come up with!

I'm always happy to get masculine card kits, as those tend to be difficult for me.
This kit is wonderful - full of great design - and it coordinates with the coming Waterside Retreat Suite in the May catalog.
The trick is to create an alternate that does not get too feminine - need to keep the masculine look - here's what I did -

For the outside, I cut the front layer of one of the bases to 4" x 5 1/5" so it could layer onto my Mossy Meadow card base.  Before adding it - I diecut a square from it using the Stylish Shapes dies.  Then added the large layer to the front of the base; and popped up the cut-out with dimensionals.   Stamped the birds and the birds and a simple sentiment and added it.  Giving it a simple masculine look.
But for the inside - I turned part of the kit into a pop-up!
Very simple to do - with a strip of Basic White Cardstock 1" x 4" scored along the long side at each inch and turned into a little box shape.
It's a fun little addition - still keeping the masculine feel - and leaving plenty of space to write.  I'm really happy with how it turned out.
But I really wanted to try and make a more feminine card.  So here goes -
I used the Quarterly dies below - cutting the sign and post out of one of the card bases.  Then I stamped the word friend from the Sweet Bugs set, using a post-it to mask the rest of the sentiment, and cut it out to fit in the sign.

Using more of the dies I cut out the word "wonderful" plus butterflies and flowers.  Putting it all together with layers to get this fun card -
Also did the inside -

I hope you've enjoyed these alternative ideas.  Don't forget about the Add-On dies for this quarter's kits as they are wonderful -

Such an adorable set in this month's kit - focus on love that can be used year round.
I've been dealing with some pretty severe back pain, so I can't sit long to craft - but got out the kit and in a few minutes I had this adorable note card -
The DSP layer is from the Nature Walk DSP in the new Jan - April mini catalog; Basic White layer is die cut with a die from our Jan - March add-on set, and the flowers and sentiment from the kit.  Just love it!

Paper Pumpkin Possibilities - Sweeter With You - July 2025

Welcome to our Paper Pumpkin Possibilities blog hop!  I am so excited to be a part of this team of hoppers sharing alternative designs for each month's Paper Pumpkin kit.  This month's kit is all about the July 2025 Sweeter With You kit!!  Hopefully what we show will inspire you.  Be sure to hop all the way through to see what this amazing team has come up with!

JULY: Sweeter With You

~*~*~*~*~*~
Here are the alternatives I came up with this month.  Hope you like them.
My first alternative simply uses elements of the kit arranged in a different way.  I cut four 1" x 5" strips from the strawberry base, and layered them onto the green base willy-nilly.  Then added elements of the kit to complete.  The flower petals were turned up a bit and I added some of the yellow Party Dots (on the last chance list - so could be gone) to the centers.

Of course I don't like "naked" envelopes so had to add those cute little flowers.
But, these envelopes are already beautiful - as the flaps are adorable.
My second alternative is a bit of a fun-fold.  This card is a vertical tent-fold card using acetate to make the front a split front.
I used part of the pink card base to add layers; cut apart the large strawberry plant and made it my connector and added flowers like the last card.  Here it is standing up -

I hope you've enjoyed these alternative ideas.  Now be sure to hop through the rest to get some more great inspiration.  Don't forget to leave a comment, as we'd love to hear what you think.

Stampin' Up! hit another Home Run with this kit - they just keep getting better and better.
I decided to do a little 3D treat box for my alternative using the base for the square card.
I scored around the edges in at 3/8th of an inch; and then on each side of the center fold - to make that 3/8th of an inch.  Then cut in on the tabs as shown -
and creased the score lines with a bone folder - so I could fold into a box.
I then cut down the Cajun Craze Square to 3 3/8" square and stamped a couple of the sprigs on it -
It was attached inside the lid with a dimensional on the front in each corner, so that it sat down a bit from the top.  This allowed me to tuck the little snail and mushroom in there with dimensionals - then added leaves, sentiment, gems and slipped on a band of twine to help it stay closed.
Inside is room for some fun little treats -
And when the treats are gone - there is a leafy surprise!

I also made this cute card alternative on my 9/24/2024 Facebook Live -
It was made using my current sketch challenge and you can see full details on this card in that video here - www.facebook.com/CrazyStampingLady/videos/1111140030367954

Paper Pumpkin Possibilities - Time for Cake August 2024

Welcome to our Paper Pumpkin Possibilities blog hop!  I am so excited to have joined this team of hoppers sharing alternative designs for each month's Paper Pumpkin kit.  This month's kit is perfect for building your stash of birthday cards!!  Hopefully what we show will inspire you.  Be sure to hop all the way through to see what this amazing team has come up with!
Here is the unboxing video - so you can see all that is included and how the kit can come together.

AUGUST: Time for Cake
Info on Kit Contents:
Bring on a birthday bash with elegant birthday cards made with rose gold details!
• Makes 9 cards, 3 each of 3 designs
• Project includes printed card bases, coordinating envelopes, and labels
• Embellishments and rose gold cord
• Coordinating colors: Moody Mauve, Night of Navy (Classic Stampin’ Spot), Petal Pink,
Pecan Pie, Pretty in Pink, Wild Wheat

~*~*~*~*~
Yes, this kit is just as fun as advertised - again I love the projects just as shown!

But I still had so much fun coming up with some alternates -  My first one is just so simple - but I love it!
I used a Night of Navy base from my stash - Added a 2 1/2" strip of Wild Wheat down the middle; and a 2" strip of the light pink card base from the kit.  On that I popped up a 1 1/2" x 3 3/4" strip of the candle piece from the kit and added the Happy Birthday and a bow with the Rose Gold cording.  Then I used the Iridescent Foil Gems to add a little sparkle to the flames.  Here's the inside -
You could make several of these by cutting the kit elements apart.
Here's a tip for the candles - I just placed both the candle stamp and the sparkle together on the block and had to stamp each once instead of twice - then added a dot with a yellow marker.
Here's my second alternative - Again easy peasey -
For this card I started with a base of Basic White - a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Night of Navy and then a 3 3/4" x 5" piece of one of the envelope linings - you can just open them and cut what your need - it extends the kit further - and the patterns are all beautiful.
Loved this design and it worked perfect on my card.
Then I took the three layers from the cake image and made them into candles (these were actually extra even if I had made all three cards of this pattern) - I adhered them to a Basic White piece 2 1/2" x 3 3/4" popping up the middle one on dimensionals.  This was layered onto a piece of Night of Navy 2 3/4" x 4" and that entire piece popped up on dimensionsals.
My sentiment banner was stamped with the bonus stamped - I used Moody Mauve and stamped it off once to make it a bit lighter - so my Happy Birthday sentiment would show up better.  I then fussy cut it and adhered it to the middle candle.
For the candle sparkles on this card I used the Adhesive Backed Sparkle Gems - gold ones.
Then finally - here are how I finished the envelopes - using my own Basic White ones - though you could use ones in the kit -

And my third alternative (this kit could just go on and on with ideas) -

This card is for my great-nephew's 6th birthday.  I love how the bonus number set allows us to make our cards more personal. I started with a Night of Navy base and added a Basic White layer that was embossed with our Dotted Circles 3D Embossing Folder - I just love the festive look of this.  Then added 1" x 3 5/8" strips to the front - that were cut from other parts of the kit, including the envelopes.
Then added the banner and number - and of course finished the inside.
I hope you've enjoyed these alternative ideas.  Now be sure to hop through the rest to get some great inspiration.  Don't forget to leave a comment, as we'd love to hear what you think.
