Thankful Banner

Last weekend we had our "THANKFUL" banner class - and made this beautiful banner.  It uses all Stampin' Up! product - a lot of it from the Thanksgiving set.
Each banner segment had additional embellishments - leaves, brads, twine bows - the yellow leaves have a little orange pearl on them.
I think it looks great on my mantel. Now I just have to wait till Nov. 1 till I can take the SPOOKY one down and put this one back up.
I truly am thankful for all of you - stop back soon. ~Maureen

December Cards - Card #2

Happy Birthday Banners was the theme for the 2nd card we made at my Cards, Cards, Cards Stamp Camp this month.  If you're like me - you can never have too many Birthday cards - I just can't seem to keep enough handy.  This card was made by running a layer of white through the dots folder on the Big Shot, and popping that layer up on white with dimensionals.
Then we punched 8 pennants with the Pennant punch and curled up the bottom peaks with a bone folder.  Then attached them with tape to look like pennant flapping in the wind.  We then stamped "Happy Birthday" from Curly and Cute and layered it and popped it on another piece of white.  I love the look of white on white and then the pops of color!  Hope you like it too!  Stop back soon.  ~Maureen

St Patty's Banner

I LOVE St. Patrick's Day - it may be because I really like the color green - rainbows - clovers - gold :)  or it may be because my maiden name was O'Reilly!  Whatever it is - for me it is FUN!  So this week I made this cute little St. Patty's day banner to put up in my house.  It's ALL Stampin' Up! - the string is our Hemp twine - the shamrocks are made out of three heart punches, creased in half to give some dimension.  The stem is the branch from the bird punch and the buttons and ribbon are also Stampin' Ups!!!  So you can see why I LOVE their products.
The medallions are made with the Designer Rosette Bigz XL Die in the current Occasions Mini - when you use this die it cuts one edge with points and one edge with circles cut out; and the rosette ends up about 9-10" in diameter.  So I just cut the strips in half to make two smaller medallions.  I love the way it turned out.

The paper is Stampin' Ups "First Edition" specialty paper.  I love this stuff as books and newprint paper are all the rage - but who wants to cut up a book or get newprint all over your fingers.  This paper mimics that look, is printed on two sides, and is a bit lighter weight than our other papers - perfect for this look.  I hope you can see the detail on this close up.  I made another for a gift, and added the large pearls the centers of the buttons and it looked great.  I might go back and add them to mine!  Thanks for stopping by - see you soon!! ~Maureen

Valentine's Stamp Camp

Last week Heidi and I and some stamping friends spent the evening making these adorable Valentine Projects -
LOVE Banner
Here it is hanging on my door
I'll show each letter up close so you can see the details - little heart, button and Bakers twine.
Heart, "be my valentine flag", gems
Seam Binding, heart
Jewelry tag, Bakers Twine, Gem, Cupid!!

We also made this cute heart candy box using the new Heart Framelits from Stampin' Up!
Here it is partially open.  I used the matchbox die, and cut two of the bottoms for the box.  I altered one of the bottoms a bit to tape it together to make the box top.
Inside - four adorable wrapped Hershey's nuggets!  Yum!!
We also made this Valentine's card to go with the set.  Note the Staz On flower stamped on the clear envelope!
See you soon!! ~Maureen
