ICS Blog Hop - November 2025 - Christmas Is Coming!!

Welcome to our Inspire - Create - Share Blog Hop for November 2025!  This month's theme is Christmas is Coming!  I send tons of Christmas cards and make them all year long - but we are getting down to the wire - so time to get my cards in order, addressed and stamped.  Then just add my personal notes and mail in December.

Since I make so many cards like to do a variety - and many times I use one set in various ways to keep it new to me.  So here are a couple of my cards from this year - each in a couple different designs.

These first two use the Peace on Earth bundle - but in two different color schemes - and I love them both.

And -

This second group was super simple (if you like fussy cutting like I do).  Once layer embossed with the Peaceful Greenery 3D Embossing folder - then add a beautiful floral cluster fussy cut from the Traditions of Christmas Specialty DSP.  I really love the clean look of these.

Hope these designs give you some inspiration and get your creative juices going - because, guess what?  Christmas is Coming!!
So take a few minutes and hop on through all the blogs below for more inspiration - and be sure to leave a comment!!

ICS Blog Hop - November 2024 - Christmas is coming!

Welcome to our Inspire - Create - Share Blog Hop for November 2024!  So glad you are here! Christmas is right around the corner - before you know it, it will be here!
All of our projects this month focus on just that - Christmas is coming!
You might be hopping on over here from Elizabeth's site - who had some elegant holiday inspiration for us!  Be sure to hop on through all the great blogs below for more inspiration!

~*~*~*~*~

So I love the idea of creating a great piece of decorative art to be displayed in someone's home for the holidays!  Either my own home - or to gift.  I started with the Happy Houseplants kit - now you could certainly make up the kit just the way it comes and give the finished products as gifts. Or you could even give the kit as it to a crafty friend.

Happy Houseplants #163873 - $25.00 (US Market)*

But I chose to pull out a frame and mat from the kit and make a Holiday Decor piece.  Just a note - be sure to take the plastic film off both sides of the cover plastic.  Only one side of the film is printed on, and I missed taking off the other side at first.
So I used the brayer to add Pretty Peacock in to the mat from the frame.  I went over it several times till I got it the depth of color I wanted.  You could continue till it was solid - but I liked the mottled look - and the glass mat made clean up so easy!
For my project I was using a 6"x6" piece of the Oxidized Copper Specialty paper for my background - and I wanted more of it to show, so I ended up cutting down the mat to 1/2" and using it like a border around my image so more of the Copper would show.
Then, using the Shepherd's Care stamp set - I created this beautiful scene.  The Shepherd was fussy cut and popped up on dimensionals - making it more 3D - and these frames work perfect for that.
After that I just added a few rhinestone gems to the sky to add some sparkle and put it all in my frame - these frames are great as they have both a hanger for hanging and an easel for standing - so you can display as you wish.  I really love how it came together!
But, you are probably wondering, if you use your frames to do this, what do you do with the rest of your pieces of the kit.  Well, I did what we do best - make a card!!
I cut my plant base piece from the kit down to a cardfront layer size - 4" x 5 1/4" and layered it onto a Granny Apple Green card base.  Completed the image as show in the kit, added a sentiment (from "Textured Floral"), some Iridescent Adhesive backed Discs and a cute little bow-
I then used some foliage from "Spotlight on Nature" set and stamped it on the inside of the card and on the envelope - coming down from the top to mimic the hanging plant.
To continue our "Christmas is Coming" theme - you could do all four images from the kit on cards, tie them up with a bow - and they become another fun Christmas gift.  How fun is that!

Hope you liked this idea, and will try it!
Now be sure to follow the hop through and see what other creative ideas this team came up with.

It's Time for Christmas Cards!

That's right - each year I start my Christmas card classes in January - so that if you attend each month - by November you'll have forty-four cards to mail out.  How great is that?  Customers love it, as you can pace yourself, and end up with a wonderful assortment of cards.

Snowman Season
#150458 Snowman Season Photopolymer $18.00 USD

So here is the 2021 first card design we made last week using an all-time favorite of mine - "Snowman Season".  It has been a fav since day one - and we've had it for many years now - so I fear he may be leaving us soon.  I've done so many great designs with this set - but this time opted for a Z-fold card.  The DSP is the Heartwarming hugs from the Fall catalog that is carrying over.

After doing all of our layering and stamping - we colored the little guy and his tree :)  Then had to add a few of our adorable little red gems to give him a touch of bling.

~*~*~*~*~

CARD RECIPE - base is Basic White 8 1/2 x 5 1/2" score along the long side at 2 1/8" and 4 1/4" - this is a vertical card.  Fold so you form a "Z".  DSP layer is 5 1/4" x 1 7/8".  Red layer is 3 1/2" x 2 1/2".  I used scraps for the Basic White Oval and Scallop Black Oval.  Basic White Envelope.  Memento Black Ink.  Stampin' Write Markers - Real Red, Old Olive and TerraCotta Tile.  Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels.  Seal adhesive.

My Favorite Stamp Set - Hopping Around the World!

I am so very happy to be hopping with this lovely group of stampers for the month of November.   And, loving this theme of sharing our favorite stamp set with all of you.  Even though I do not have "one" favorite - I am sharing one of my very favorite stamp sets today.  I love this Country Home set - and have used it many times - the Milk Can really caught my eye, as hubby grew up on a dairy farm and we have several milk cans from that time.
Mostly I have made only Fall themed cards, as it lends itself so well to that - but then I saw a few Christmas cards made with it on Pinterest and fell even more in love!   So really, just by changing up the colors,  you can really extend the use of this set.  I ended up making this one for one of my Christmas card classes.  It uses the Corrugated 3D embossing folder with Real Red Cardstock for the background layer; and Crumb Cake for the flagged banner.  The pitcher and the arrangement in it were colored with Blends, then I fussy cute the bouquet and popped it up - adding a little ribbon for good measure.
Below is how we finished the inside of this card -you can see it opens from the side - which also gives it special character.
I hope you enjoyed this card - but don't stop now - be sure to hop through our group to see all the beautiful projects made with favorite Stampin' Up! stamp sets.  All you need to do is click on their link.  ~Maureen

Hopping Around the World Blog Hop October 2019

October 2019 - Christmas theme!
If you're here - you have probably just have come from the fabulous Susan Simpson of the UK!  Check out my post and then continue on hopping for some wonderful Christmas ideas!
So today I am sharing a beautiful card using the Garden Lane DSP from SU's Annual catalog.  Those greens are just so fresh and perfect for holiday crafting.  What really makes this card POP is the awesome deer and flowers cut from the Noble Peacock Foil sheets.  That shimmer is perfect for holiday cards.

You can see above that I also stamped sentiments and flourishes on the card and envelope, from the Dashing Deer set in the Annual catalog.  I really love that SU! included so many Christmas sets in their annual catalog - as I do my Christmas cards year round.
Here's the inside of the card - I have it some extra character with an stitched edge oval to carry the ovals from the front of the card right on through; and added  a couple more foil flowers.
I hope you liked this card  - now for more inspiration continue hopping through the list.  The next stop is at Claudia Secke's site.

Prize #10 - 6x6" Sampler package of Dashing Along DSP - Lmtd. Edition. Used in today's project -
~*~*~*~*~
Sharing a very quick and easy treat wrap today - these are fun to make and a great way to share a little treat.  These are our neighbor gifts this year - so made up 10 of them.
Each one contains a package of these Krispy Kreme Coffee Thins - I love that the colors on the package are also Christmas colors.  So all we are making is a quick wrap that they slide right out of.
To make this wrap I took a piece of 6x6" Cherry Cobbler and folded it around the box to get the placement of my score marks.  I used 12x12" cardstock so I could get four out of one sheet.  For this little sleeve I scored at 1 1/8", 1 1/2", 4" and 4 3/8".  But you could do the same with any candy/treat and get your own score measurements.  Then I cut a 1 1/2" belly band out of the Dashing Along DSP, and a cup with another sheet from that DSP using the Coffee Cups framelits.  I added the whipped cream and a vellum cover - plus a little heart.  These were punched from a retired punch shown - but you could add any little embellishment.
The little wish at the bottom is from the "First Frost" set and is actually a miniature card that opens and I added my little wish for a Merry Christmas.  These wraps would be perfect for Stocking Stuffer candy also.  Have fun!
