Before February was over I thought I'd share a bit of our Valentine's fun here. My youngest grand-daughter just turned 7 and she had to decorate her box and make her Valentine's - so she hit Grandma's stash. Here she is with her box covered with doilies and butterflies!
She and her Mom did it together as well as made all of her valentines and attached ring pops!
Here they are close-up!
Then for school we pulled out my Paper Pumpkin kit and added some little cupid's arrows to her hair -
And to Big sister Paisley's hair too. It must have been early morning - because Paisley looks tired - but I thought the hair was super cute!
Now - we can proceed to March - lol!! See you all soon! ~Maureen

Personal Post Monday - Gramma Day with Paisley
So finally got a chance for another Gramma Day - starting through the crew again with Paisley. We are started out our day with lunch at Red Robin, I only took one picture and when I looked at it at home it was so blurry :( But we had a delightful lunch - good food and chatting and laughing. Love the sweetness in this girl - I do Gramma Day for her - but she makes me feel so special. After lunch she wanted to paint - so off we went to a local clay store. Here she is working on her project.
More artistry -
You have to leave the pieces and pick up a few days later so they can glaze and fire them - so here she is posing with her piece a few days later.
And a close up of her adorable little dragon. She did a great job! After painting we went to a couple stores - picked up a treat for her brother and sister and headed home.
Had a great time with you honey - looking forward to our next special day! ~Gramma

Personal Post Monday - Paisley turns "12"
I really cannot believe it! The day Paisley was born is still such a vivid memory for me - the day I became "Gramma" - my life has never been the same. Here she is just minutes after she was born - such a cutie - she stole my heart immediately.
For the past several years my husband has had to work at his job during Paisley's birthday celebration. But since we both recently retired - he promised we'd celebrate with her this year - so off to Arizona we went. She wanted Red Robin for her birthday dinner - so that is what she got! Here she is being a goofball -
and here is Prince photo-bombing us -
Delivery of her birthday dessert -

We all had a great time - family, food, fun - celebrating her 12th birthday - now if I could just slow down this growing up thing a bit. Not sure I'm ready for her to enter the teen years next year. Paisley - we love you so much - thank you for being such a special and wonderful grand-daughter!!! ~Gramma

Is it hereditary???
So it looks like creativity is really running in the family -you've seen projects from me, and both my daughters - but I had to share these great projects from my 11 year old grand-daughter, Paisley. When she was visiting a while ago, she and her friend got these white dishes from the local dollar store and went to town with Sharpies - look what she created!!
So cool - looks like even some zentangling going on in there - way to go Paisley!! Most of our family loves to do crafty stuff wich of course make me happy! See you all soon ~Maureen

A Heart from Paisley
Just had to share this text I got from my grand-daughter Paisley in Arizona. She sent it to me the other morning after dropping some water on the counter - it looked like a heart and made her think of me. How sweet is that. Sure miss her - can't wait to see her and her whole family in July!
Love you sweetie! ~Gramma

Paisley as Mother Teresa
This week Paisley's 5th grade class did a project on influential people. Paisley picked Mother Teresa. Here she is dressed as Mother Teresa in the hallway at school with the poster she made above her. As parents came down the hall and touched her hand she had to lift her head and do a short speech. Wish I could have been there.
But Jenee sent me these pictures and I think she looks great!! They are home today for a visit, so hopefully she'll do her speech for me today :)
Love this kiddo!! Love, Gramma

Homemade Mugs :)
So for Christmas this year Paisley and Prince made us mugs. The first two pictures are of the one that Paisley made for me. You've got to read what it says, "I love you when you're sad, mad, happy, glad, constipated, loving, angry, blue .... I Love you!! How cute is that - she is a kick. I asked her if she knew when I was constipated, and she said no - but it sounded funny - and I agree. I love it!! I is my new work mug!
Here is the other side of it -
She also made one for Papa - obviously he is never constipated :)
And the other side allows him to be a "Duck Dynasty" character.
Here is the one Prince made Papa - this side shows him and Papa together (he loves his Papa) -
And this side says it all - the fish are a nod to their fishing trip a bit back. Very sweet!
I'm afraid the baked marker images may wear off - so I'm glad I've captured them in pictures here, as these made us smile. ~Maureen

First "Days" of school...
Today I wanted to share the first day of school pics of my grandkids - some started last week and some this - but they are now all officially back in school.
No picture of Zamarah or Kyan this time - as they are not in school this Fall. But for the ones that are I pray for a wonderful day of growing and learning - both in academics and character. Love you all, Gramma

Gramma Day with Paisley
Last weekend I had a Gramma Day with Paisley - one of my most fun things to do. We started out at the Mall where she got a cute little stuffed animal from Build a Bear.
Then to Red Robin for lunch of Chicken strips and fries -
And a yummy mint/brownie shake - just look at that face!!
Here's my beauty with Gramma right after lunch -
And back at my house with her stuffed Hello Kitty from Build a Bear. Note the duct tape - we spent much of the rest of the afternoon crafting.
Great day with such a sweet young lady. Can't wait till next time. Love you Pais!! ~Gramma

Flip Flop Card
Last post I shared about Paisley's pool party - so today I wanted to share the cute little flip-flop card I made for her. I made a template from a child's flip-flop then cut out the card on white cardstock leaving it attached at two spots on the left. Then I cut out a layer of the green striped DSP and punched holes to slip the ribbon in and adhere underneath, and then I adhered the entire layer to the top of the card. Finally I punched out a flower, secured with a brad and added to the flip flop. I really like how it turned out.
Here's the card showing how it opens (with a cute little gift card inside).
She got a lot of great and fun gifts.
Here she is (after the pool and some face painting) opening her presents.
What a great day - celebrating a great girl!! ~Gramma Maureen
