Holiday Luncheon Project

Today I want to share the project that my downline made at my Holiday Party. I found this adorable tree luminaire and tutorial on Lisa Young's site here -
http://addinkandstamp.blogspot.com/2010/10/tutorial-for-christmas-tree-luminaire.html
We used several different stamp sets and had pearls and gems to decorate. I wish I had taken pictures of more of them - but only got this one. How cute is that!!Here's the base with the battery operated tealight inside. I love it! Special thank you to Karen for letting me borrow her bitty box and envelope die - can't believe I don't have that one.

Those missing....

Several of my downline couldn't make the Holiday Party due to other commitments - but I want to show the lovely gifts they received from their Secret Sisters - Here is Toni's gift from Jeri. It's a glass box filled with Christmas lights and decorated with mulberry paper and stamped images. When you plug it in the lights give off a soft beautiful glow - perfect for the holidays.
Next is Melissa's gift from her Secreti Sister Bobbie - Bobbie decorated this lovely box with our Deck the Halls Designer Series Papers, ribbon and buttons and a lovely vintage flower. Here is Karen's gift from Melissa - she made her individually stamped BINGO cards, and inside the jar are all the images stamped and colored for drawing them for the game. Also in the basket were round punched markers for the cards and some wonderful chocolate treats - WOW.

This second picture shows one of the cards and marker circles better.
and last but not least - here is the gift Diane gave to Denise. It is a beautiful bamboo serving tray with our "EAT" decor elements on it. There was also a wrapped box with a creamer and sugar set in it, but since it was not stamped on and was wrapped so nicely we decided not to open it. I hope everyone enjoyed getting their gifts and finding out who their 2010 Secret Sister was.
For 2011 we're changing it up a bit. Instead of having Secret Sisters all year long, we are going to do a quarterly name drawing for anyone that would like to participate. Then at our quarterly meetings we'll do a gift exchange, and draw again for anyone that would like to participate the next quarter. That way you can participate when you want, and not when you don't want; and new demos can add in as the come. Should be fun. So watch quarterly for our gift reveals.

Gifts and more Gifts -

So before I go on, I forgot to post this beautiful card that Karen made for her Secret Sis Theresa, when I posted Theresa's card yesterday. Look at all the detail in this - it is just lovely!
Next was my Secret Sis reveal - I had an amazing Secret Sis this year - and it was Theresa - she gave me these items - a lovely card, my initial decorated in snowflakes (so cute), and on the left is a gratefulness door hanger - it contains a lovely poem about collecting all our blessings and being grateful, and it's made to hang on the doorknob so you see it everytime you come and go. And then she made me this BEAUTIFUL "JINGLE" framed art - isn't that amazing! It is currently hanging in my front entry way for all to enjoy. Thank you sooooo much Theresa!

More goodies from the Secret Sis's -

Our next secret sister gift went to Theresa - her SS was Karen and she made her this adorable set of OWL coasters - so cute. And you see just and ear and part of an eye of my grand-daughter Makai to the right. She decided that Theresa was her bestest friend during our Holiday party :)Heidi's Secret Sis Julie gave two cool gifts - first this amazing clockthat she purchased at home goods - was able to open, remove the hands and decorate with our fabrics and antique brads - is that beautiful. And she also made her this coin purse - you can see the detail, but the leather was run through the big shot with our embossing folder, cut out in flowers and added to the front of the purse- it's just so cute. And yes, that is my Heidi with a broken hand - she lost her balance when Makai was tugging on her shirt, and she didn't want to fall on her, so she twisted and fell on her hand - and the rest is history ....

More Secret Sister Gifts

So Lyn is next and her Secret Sister Maria made her this beautiful Christmas tree - this picture doesn't do the tree (or Lyn - sorry about the closed eyes) justice - it was amazing. The next gift was from Julie's Secret Sister - ME! Remember how I said I've been sick - well that's my excuse for making this gift of a collage frame with great potential - just passable. But Julie was wonderful, and gracious and made me feel not so rotten about not make it up the standard I had planned. I didn't even get a chance to make a card :(
There's still more to come - so check back!

More Secret Sis from last Saturday

So here is Pat's gift basket and card from her secret sister Heidi. Heidi broke her hand this past week so was disappointed she couldn't actually stamp more on it. But I don't think Pat was disappointed with her starbucks coffee, set of mugs, and great treats. Heidi did stamp the cello with snowflakes and added snowflakes to the tin - soooo cute! Here's the gift that Jeri got from her secret sis, Pat. It is another Scentsy warmer and the fragranced wax blocks. This one is neat as it plugs directly into the wall socket. And here's the cute card Pat made her - love that set!

More Secret Sis Reveals

So here we have Sandy holding the goodies she got from her Secret Sis, Lyn. The beautiful Christmas Tree card, adorable little purse that she totally embossed so it was glossy and sturdy, and inside it held those two pretty pearl bracelets (I heard them discussing the SU colors they match, but I forgot what they came up with :) that Lyn got while she was in Hawaii this past year. The bracelets were tucked in that pretty little fabric bag. Maria's Secret Sister was Denise, and she gave her this Scentsy candle warmer. The cool thing about it (beside the fact that Scentsy products are great), is that you decorate this one your self with rub-ons that come with it. Although I'll be our SU rubons and decor elements would work also. And she also got several fragranced wax blocks to melt it in - very nice.
And here is the card she received and the gift bag. Note the little Santa hanging on the package - Denise's Mom does wonderful things with plastic canvas - so I am sure she made that little guy - so cute!
Next we have Valarie - she didn't participate in SSS (Secret Stamping Sisters) this year, but her upline (Julie) made her this adorable little papercrafted cup filled with goodies.

Of course we're not done yet - stop by tomorrow for more.

Annual CSL Holiday Party

This past Saturday I hosted our Annual CSL (Crazy Stamping Ladies) Holiday Party - and we had such a great time. I have been really sick lately, so it was not at all as nice as I had hoped it would be - but the ladies were wonderful and gracious and forgiving and we had a wonderful time. My main goal was just to get through the day -but at the end I realized I should have taken sooooo many more pictures. I will share what I did take over the next several days though.

So I'm going to start with our Secret Sister reveal. The first person to share was Virginia. I had opened it up that if anyone did not have a SS they could bring a wrapped stamped gift and we'd do an exchange among them - so Virginia brought a gift, but no one else did. So she exchanged with herself :) Fortunately - she liked what she made - and I agree - it is just lovely. She did this beautiful tissue holder for the Christmas season - Here is a close-up - isn't it lovely. Thanks Virginia for joining us and for being such a good sport!Next Diane opened her gift from her SS (who turned out to be Toni) - her Diane is with her gift basket of wine, two beautiful wine glasses decorated with our Decor Elements, and other goodies. And here is the cute little card Diane got from Toni.
Check back tomorrow for more Holiday Party pics.

More memories of Thanksgiving

Hi all - sorry for my absence. I have been sick - all week - most of last week and two weeks before that. My immunities are pretty much wiped out right now - says my infectious meds Dr. - but hope is on the way. I'll post soon what I have and how we're going to treat it. But in the meantime - here are a few more memories from Thanksgiving - which seems so long ago already.

Isn't this adorable - Zamarah wanted sooooo badly to be out playing with the older kids - she's got her boots on and her nose pressed against the window - just longing to be out there :)But she never made it - she did settle for playing with Zavian inside though and they had a great time. I also wanted to share these adorable little Thanksgiving turkeys that Paisley and Prince made for all the little ones. One of Prince's is on the left and Paisley's on the right. Their Mom looked all over for candy corn to use for the tail feathers, but to no avail - but she came across these Mike and Ike's and they worked just fine. The two of them had fun making them, and all the kiddos had fun eating them. Thanks Paisley and Prince!
