Team Cards -

Some of you might have seen this when I advertised my upcoming RMHC fundraiser here - I really love this card and made up a ton of them for my team to congratulate them on high sales, recruiting, anniversaries, etc.   It came together so quickly -

Personal Post Monday - Gramma Day with Paisley

So finally got a chance for another Gramma Day - starting through the crew again with Paisley.  We are started out our day with lunch at Red Robin, I only took one picture and when I looked at it at home it was so blurry :(  But we had a delightful lunch - good food and chatting and laughing.  Love the sweetness in this girl - I do Gramma Day for her - but she makes me feel so special.  After lunch she wanted to paint - so off we went to a local clay store.  Here she is working on her project.

You have to leave the pieces and pick up a few days later so they can glaze and fire them - so here she is posing with her piece a few days later.
And a close up of her adorable little dragon.  She did a great job!  After painting we went to a couple stores - picked up a treat for her brother and sister and headed home.

It's a new year full of possibilities!

Don't know if I've mentioned it lately - but I LOVE calendars.  I have my planner, I carry a smaller scheduling one in my purse, I use the Google calendar religiously and can access it on my phone and Kindle, I have one on the fridge, one in my checkbook, one on my nightstand, and one on my desk - crazy huh!  Each year as a little holiday gift - I usually make a calendar of some sort from my downline.  I put a few of the past ones at the bottom of this blog post.  But here is the one I came up with this year -
It mails folded down - but then pops us to reveal a post it note pad also. It's the same as the easel card patterns - but uses the post-it notes to hold it up rather than a button or brad.  Here is a side view (ignore the mess on the table - this picture was taken in the throws of my Christmas crafting).  You can see how the easel part works.  Didn't get them all out in the mail till late last week - so they'll be receiving them in the new few days or so. 
I was also thrilled when the last Paper Pumpkin kit was also a calendar.  I made up the kit just as the directions said - and it came with a cute little gold easel stand to hold the calendar months.  But I had this white IKEA frame that I had used last year for a special downline project - you can see details on that project here - http://crazystampinglady.blogspot.com/2014/12/downline-holiday-party-project.html and the two blog posts following it.
So I decided to punch holes and re-use the frame on my desk again - you can see how it sits above, and how the future months stack up behind to just be flipped forward.  I plan to use the month cards later in my Project Life scrap-booking - so they will put to good use.

These cards are straight forward for all skill levels.
 Held at the Wood Ranch Club House across from 151 Laurel Ridge Dr., Simi Valley, CA  93065

 Profits from this event will benefit Ronald McDonald Charities* - Providing stability and resources for families with sick children everywhere.  
There will be food, fun, doorprize drawings, chance drawing for raffle basket, purchase special offer, displays and more - but mainly this event is to honor and support this amazing organization.  I have had the privilege to stamp with house guests at the RMH in Los Angeles and it truly is a godsend for those who are in need of support during a very difficult time - while their child is sick with a critical illness! 

We will also be accepting any completed cards with envelopes that you would like to donate to the house for their guests to use while there. (Note: these should be more generic, non-religious and blank on the inside); as well as additional voluntary monetary donations that will be directly donated to the organization.
Must RSVP by Thursday, January 14, 5:00 PM to attend this event and indicate which session. Please note who your SU demonstrator is (if you already have one) at the time of sign-up! A confirmation email will be sent to you with additional information on Friday, January 15.  Limit is 24 - 12 each session.  A waiting list will be formed once full.

2016 - Really!!! Where does the time go?!?!

Well - I'm starting to feel like a dinosaur - lol!  Happy New Year - here is to a future full of wonderful possibilities!!  I can't believe that yesterday was the first day I posted since Christmas - it has been non-stop everything here.  Who ever said retirement would give me some down time - obviously didn't have my life :)  So in honor of my "dino" feelings I wanted to share this adorable card we made at Fall 2015 Stamp Camp.  It makes great use of the set by adding the bones to the front on acetate.  Really making the card pop!
Here's a shot of the card from the side so you can see more of what I mean.
And dinosaurs are not for boys only - they have a feminine side - as shown in this "girly" version of the card.
Hope you like them - they were really pretty easy to make.  Yesterday should have been a personal post - but I had to get the new catalog and Sale-A-Bration info out there, and I have not even uploaded all my Christmas pictures yet - so my personal post may come later in the week.
