Soooo - what happens in VEGAS does not stay in VEGAS!

We bring it all back - to share with you!
Recently I had the privilege of attending OnStage Stampin' Up! in LasVegas with eight of my Amazing Team Members.  What a great event.  I always come back super energized - so am going to share a bit with you today.  Those of us who attended got our Annual catalogs - these won't be available to the other demonstrators and our customers till sometime in May - and we can't order from it till June (but watch for a sneak peek special in May.)  Anyway - it is AMAZING - we can't share much now - but you will LOVE it!  So if you want your very own copy and do not have a U.S. demonstrator - or are already my customer - please let me know and you will get yours in May.  If you have another demonstrator - please contact them to receive your copy.

Friday afternoon we arrived and I had this wonderful room -
With an awesome view -
All SU demonstrators who achieved the level of Silver Elite or above got star treatment at CentreStage on Friday night - great food, training and prizes - here's my haul from that night - not bad!
And of course I have to share food pictures - it was all sooo yummy!

The best part was seeing my TEAM members that were able to come from all over (several states) to be there -
Kelea, Paula, Toni, Sarah, Kathy, Rina, Jean, Me, and Vicki!
Our TEAM did a group swap - just look at these great cards - they did an amazing job!

Jean B
Kathy B
Maureen R
Paula B
Toni H
Vicki D
And, even though it was a card swap - one of my Team members, Kelea, made these awesome mugs for each of us.  I am a coffee lover - so any mug gets me excited - but our Team Name is the Crazy Stamping Ladies - so how cool is that!!!  You will see me with this mug - often!  See you soon ~Maureen

Advanced Card Class - Card 1

Sharing one of the two cards we made last month at my Coffee and Advanced Cards class.  I focused on using one of my very favorite retiring sets and framelits - Botanical Blooms and Botanical Builder Framelit Dies.  Really I am so sad that these are now gone - I have made so many beautiful cards - just can't seem to go wrong with these.  So this first card is a gatefold card with a belly band.  We used VersaMark ink on the background to leave that great watermark.
Then also continued it down the center under the sentiment.  You can see here how the card opened.  You just slide the belly band off and it opens in the center.
Here is a bit more of a side view.  We layered the flowers and leaves so they were all attached only to the belly band and also slide right off with it.  Added a few pearls or gems (their choice) for a finishing touch.  The card was scored to fold and become a 5.5" x 4 1/8"  - slightly narrower than our norm.  This allows it to fit a regular envelope without being crunched.
Finally - here is the finished card and envelope - crying just a few tears here as this set goes.  But I'm not ready to part with the set or framelits just yet.  So you may see a few more creations :)
See you all soon ~Maureen

December Christmas Card Class - Card 1

So December's class was my last of the year - we'll start making Christmas cards again in January for 2017!  I really love this design..I saw a few similar on Pinterest -but gave it my own twist.  So you can see the deer in the first card facing the left.  This was made by cutting on the back white side of the foil paper - which was recommended - but it seems to give a little ridge around the edge.
So I decided to try cutting on the foil side (so deer faces the right) and it give it a much smoother rounded edge.  I like it better - and I had no trouble with it.  Unfortunately, all of the ones in class were made like above -  but they are still lovely.
I just love the look of the copper foil on the deer - so elegant and a little understated.  Really nice card if you are sending one off to a person of the male persuasion - as it's a bit rustic looking to me.  And I LOVE washi tape - fun, fast and looks terrific!
Here are the cards side by side - as I said - they both look great -and I kind of like that the deer can face either way.
See you all soon!! ~Maureen
