Sunburst Technique!

Today I'm sharing our Technique Card and our Project Card from my April Clubs!  Sunburst cards!  It is really an old favorite of mine for several reasons - 1) It's quick 2) It's easy 3) you use up scraps and 4) it packs a lot of punch!  Here is the card we made up for our binder.  I love the colors - so bright and cheery - this is the Painted Autumn DSP from the 2017 Holiday Catalog.  On this card we did the pattern vertically and offset from the center a bit.
The card below was our project card - for this we used the Delightful Daisy DSP from the 2017/18 Annual Catalog.  You can see how using papers from a DSP pack works so well, because everything coordinates.  This card layout was done horizontally and starting with a center point -which is where we then placed out punched out daisy with a Gold faceted gem center.

Team Cards - I am so late

So today I am working on getting my team cards out for March!  I know, I know - late - I guess I'll be combining them with April!  Between our trip to California.  Some big family decisions.  A bad sinus cold and ..... well you know - this month just got away from me.  But the cards are stinkin' cute :)  I started by cutting out the sun rays from yellow and gently sponging orange in the middle of the sun.
Here's my mat after making several of the - how pretty is that?  May need to take that technique and make another card design.
Next I layered the yellow onto a blue card base.  Not giving specific colors as I used several yellows and blues.
After that I added the "sayings" from my TIPsy Tuesday post a bit ago.  Popped up some clouds made with the cupcake builder punch, and of course a few gems to give it some bling.  Isn't it such a happy card?
Here's a different view so you can see the verse and the clouds were popped up on dimensionals.
And a bunch of them done below - how could those not 'brighten' someone's day?!?!

May Christmas Card 1

Here is the first Christmas card we made this month using the Sunburst technique.  I had this great Christmas hostess set that I had never used - so i decided to break it out.  The deer on the punched label is popped up on dimensionals.  It's a little hard to see, but there is linen thread wrapped around the background layer and a little bow tied to the right side.
Stop back tomorrow for the second card we made.  ~Maureen

Sunburst

At my October downline meeting I shared how to make these great sunburst layers for your cards.  It is so easy and there are a ton of great tutorials out there on the web.  Basically it is just triangles of DSP pieced together to make this beautiful design.
Here is a card I made with one of my sunbursts  -  I love how it turned out - such a cheery card.
