It's all about sharing ....

So at our downline meetings we always have a share table - so here are a few of the shares from our last meeting.  I think there was one more - but for some reason I do not have the picture :(  I love what everyone brings to the table - and it is so much fun to see what they have created - enjoy!!!

Fall Flower demo -

At our Downline Meeting I did a short demo on making a quick and easy fall type flower to add to projects. Try it and let me know what you think.

Step 1 - Punch a scallop and sponge edges with a darker color - Step 2- cut in toward center between each scallop to create petals - leave about a 1/2" circle in the middle of the scallop - Step 3 - turn the sponged side down on top of a spongy mat or mouse pad and use your bone folder to gently push in the back of each petal to cause it to curl a bit. (Your eyes aren't fooling you - I changed color of my flower during my demo to show the project at the different stages :) - Step 4 - you can see here how the back of the petals go in - this makes each petal look more realistic. Step 5 - turn flower back over with shaded side up - using bone folder press down in the center of flower a bit and add a brad, button, etc. - complete your project. Each lady got to make one of these 3x3" cards - so cute!!

Hi all - so this morning was our Quarterly All CSL's downline meeting - It's always so great to get together with the group of ladies. Here's my welcome sign - little blurry :) And all of our wonderful goodies - And all of their generous donations for our local Ronald McDonald House - thank you so much everyone!

Convention Planning Meeting

Last week the group of Crazy Stamping Ladies going to convention had our second pre-convention planning meeting. We're so excited (especially now that we all go our preview catalogs), and we discussed flights, hotel, schedules, etc. We also made these little luggage tags to hang on our convention bags. Each lady got to pick their own colors of DSP, cardstock and ribbon - so each is unique. It's important to have something unique to hang on your convention bag, as all the bags look the same other wise and it's easy to lose yours :) Here's the front view of mine - And on the back - our contact info - just in case we misplace our convention bag. But I can't imagine that happening. Can't wait to see what this year's looks like!! I'm thinking natural colors like tan and green since our theme is "Grow". Woo Hoo - SLC here we come!

Downline Meeting Demo

Saturday was our monthly downline meeting for June and each month I try to demo something for the group that they can take back and hopefully use in their business. This month I demoed how to do this adorable punch art strawberry - it reminded me of summer and the annual strawberry festival we have in a city near here. I saw how to do this month's ago on a blog - but I don't remember which one. If it is yours, please let me know and I will be happy to share the link. I look at blogs all the time for ideas, and a lot of times the ideas stay in my brain - but the blogs don't :) Here are the tools you need to make it - the bird punch, I used the flower on an alphabet die but you could punch any medium sized flower; a little flower punch; the five petal flower punch; a regular 1/4" circle punch and the Scalloped Heart die - I think you can see how everything is layered in this picture - if not, email me and I'll try and explain. There is very little altering of any of the punches. Two of the petals are cut off of the five petal flower for the top of the strawberry, and you'll punch two of the leave from the bird punch and trim the stem off one set. I just popped it up on layers of coordinating cardstock and I LOVE IT!! The little bumps on the heart look just like the seeds on a strawberry. Metal Sheet Magnets

Each month at our Downline meeting I try and do a demonstration of some sort. This month I wanted to feature these amazing metal sheets I found. You can check out Monica Weaver's blog here - http://www.addalittledazzle.com/ and see all the wonderful things she does with these sheets. But, I used them to make these beautiful refrigerator magnets. The pictures are a little hard to see, but trust me - they are beautiful. They cut so easily with the big shot Bigz dies, and then I embossed the back layer with the polka dots folder and adhered the layers together with glue dots - then put a magnet on the back. Easy Peasy!

The sheets are very light weight and easy to use, but also bend very easily, so you need to be careful while using them. But the effect the metal gives is just lovely!! It's always fun to find a new way to use our Stampin' Up! products. Thanks for stopping by!

Downline Project

This was our project at the downline meeting this past Saturday - it's a cute little pouch made from SU's petal cone die - it would be perfect to fill with treats for Easter. The glare in the picture is from the irridescent shred we put in it - wow! I originally saw this on Becky Roberts site here - http://inkingidaho.blogspot.com/2011/02/petal-cone-carrots.html and then made it my own. Then I wanted to share this goodie with you. I didn't get a picture of all the wonderful food we had at the meeting courtesy of Virginia, Annette and Lisa - thank you ladies!! But I had to take a picture of this yummy Angel Food Blueberry cake from Virginia - she said it is a 2 pt per serving treat (for those of us on WW's).

Anyway - all you do is mix an Angel Food cake mix and a can of pie filling and then bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes (I think that's what she said) - so moist and delish!!

January CSL's Downline Meeting

Yesterday was our monthly downline meeting for my first level Crazy Stamping Ladies - and we had such a great time. Yes - that is my Christmas tree in the background - all the Christmas stuff comes down - TOMORROW :) This month Sandy brought a project for the group to do using our Watercolor Crayons. Several in the group had not used them at all, so it was great for her to demo some different ways of using them, and share some tips.

And I had to share this amazing basket of Home-made muffins Julie brought for our snack. She was even so kind as to make most of them low-fat for those of us in the group who are in Weight Watchers - the Raspberry/Almond ones in the middle were delish. Thanks Julie!
