Paper Crafting Blog Hop

Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. Fellow demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia are participating. We have a wide array of fun projects and design styles to share with you this month - all spotlighting New Products in the January - June Mini catalog and the January-February Sale-A-Bration catalog.

~*~*~*~*~
So I chose to use a stamp set that caught my eye immediately! The "Handmade for You" set. This set meets the Stampin' Up! Angel policy - so if you sell the projects you make and you include one of the two copywrite images on it - you are good!
But more than that I loved the little sayings "handmade for you", "Crafters gonna craft" and "Craft Queen" - how cute are those.  I wanted to use them in a project - so I decorated
a little notebook.  I am a notebook addict!
A few months back I found these little 6" x 4" pads at a local stationary store - they were 5/$1.00 - so of course I had to have them - Oh the Possibilities!

I started with a strip of Basic Black 4" wide and 8 1/2" long - then scored it at 6" and 6 5/8" along the long side - this made it easy to wrap around and attach with tear tape to the back of the notebook.

Then I got to decorating the layers for the front - a collage of my favorite sayings from the set, then a layer of red and a layer of white with the scissors image at the bottom - I colored the leaves with Old Olive.  Next I punched the Crafters gonna craft saying out using our postage stamp punch and two additional black punched out pieces, which I cut in half - one horizontal and the other vertically.

This allowed me to build a frame around my sentiment - by adding the pieces to the back on top, bottom and each side.

I finished it off by putting the layers together on the cover.  Adding a little flower punched from the Confetti Flowers Border Punch - and adding a little gem.  Then added the Playful Pets Ribbon/Twine combo at the top in a bow.
Here the notebook is opened -
It would be a great little gift for any crafter - but this one - I think it's gonna stay on my desk and be mine :)  After all - Crafters Gonna Craft!

Petal Pallette Paper goodbye!

Hi All - just sharing this amazing Petal Passion Designer Series paper today - before it goes away.   It is absolutely one of my all time favorites, and I am so sad Stampin' Up! is retiring it.  But - they are bringing the coordinating Petal Pallette stamp set back - so I am happy about that.  Below is the DSP and it is available while supplies last ONLY! Click on the image to go right to my website where you can shop and purchase online.
http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/stampingwithmaureen/
You can see the DSP above is all shades of black/gray/white - but....here's what happens if you combine the paper with a little color -
I used our blends to make this coordinated set of my coffee mug, cell phone cover and a notebook that I carry in my purse.  It got a lot of attention at OnStage - and I was even asked by a Barista at Starbucks if I knew where she could buy one lol!
The mug above is an oldy but a goodie!  Starbucks used to sell these and you can unscrew the bottom and put in a piece of paper of your choice.  I actually purchased 3 of them before they were discontinued - and I LOVE them.
Above is my notebook/pen case - made with one of Stampin' Up!s empty stamp cases - it also has a place to slip in a piece of paper of your choice to decorate it.  These are available empty for purchase.
And finally - my phone case.  It is just a clear case; I cut the DSP to fit, and punched a couple circles side by side for the camera lens.  So - as I mentioned -  you do not want to miss out on this paper while it is still around - and get coloring!!! ~Maureen
When shopping at my store - don't forget to use my current hostess code -

Having FUN with July Stampin' Friends Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin' Friends Anything Goes Blog Hop!  Okay - so anyone who knows me basically knows if anything goes - well then - that anything, will be COFFEE.  So I seized the opportunity to share Stampin' Up's great new Coffee Break suite.  You can find it on pages 30 and 31 of the Annual Catalog.
First I'm sharing a great Shaker Card made with real coffee grounds.  I gotta say the room smelled wonderful while I was making this - and yes - I am a coffee addict.  These were the cards we also made in my July techniques clubs.
The inside of the coffee cup is cut out with the coffee cup framelits, and I added a window sheet, the cup lid and amazing coffee grounds inside the shaker -
The front portion of this card acts also as a pocket to hold a gift card for the recipient - just pull on the tab at the top to reveal it -
Here is a picture of the inside of the card -
Then - since I am such an addict - I made myself this amazing notebook set to carry in my purse using the SU stamp case and the Coffee Break designer series paper.  The sentiment is taken from the new Ribbon of Courage set.
I punched out the starburst and fussy cut the pot and cup to make a cute little cover image.  But inside is where the magic happens -
It features the reverse side of the same sheet of designer series paper, another verse from the Ribbon of Courage set - a pocket for coupons, etc - a pen and a post-it note tablet.  The best thing is because this is all contained in the stamp case - you can throw it in your purse and it does not get ruined.  I really, really LOVE it and hope you do too.  Please leave a comment and let me know what you think - and encourage your friends to check out our blog hop this month for great stamping ideas.

Club Gift

Each year I send my Club members a little Christmas gift.  This year with being so sick they got out a little late - but I got them out :)  I made them each a little post it note hold with pen.  Here's the outside with a note I printed on MDS.  I got the little pens at a local party store. The punched out image is popped up on dimensionals.
Here's the inside - a 3x3" post-it pad.
Our club doesn't meet in December so it seems like ages since I've seen them.  Our next club is Jan. 18 - see you all then :)   ~Maureen
