SF July 2019 Anything Goes Blog Hop

Anything goes - I can do that lol!  We just got back from our amazing Incentive Trip to Italy and then the Greek Isles courtesy of Stampin' Up! and I'm beat.  But when I saw it was anything goes - well - I can do this.  So check out these fun projects and be sure to hop on through to all of the blogs on the list.

So for my projects I am sharing cards and a sampler.  The Ocean has been my happy, peaceful, renewal place for years.  The beauty of the sun, clouds and water; the crashing of the waves, when I'm there all stress is gone.  A bit back we moved from California to Arizona - and believe me I miss the ocean!  So I am just so in love with the "Come Sail Away" Suite of products and could not wait to make up some type of Home Decor piece with it - so here is the sampler I came up with -
I chose Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Crumb Cake and Gray Granite as my colors - and I used a ton of sets to create this - but it was oh so much fun.  I started with a standard black 8 1/2" x 11" frame that can stand or be hung up.  It has a pop out glass piece on the front.  I used the black lining from inside for the base and then layered the images.

We made these at a recent Technique Club and I knew that this would not go with everyone's decor - so I also gave an option of just making cards from the layers - and they could have the frame to make something else.  The cards are pretty much just the same - here they are -
Panel 1 card -
 Panel 2 card -
Panel 3 card with the center circle -
Panel 4 card -
Basically I made the four panels and center just like in the frame - but then instead mounted them on full size cards.  This would also make a great coordinating gift set for someone who loves the sea.

Once again, thank you for stopping by.   I hope you enjoyed these projects and got some inspiration for creating something wonderful of your own.  I would love it, if you would leave me a comment below and stop back soon.  Don't forget to click through on each name below to see even more amazing Posts with a "anything goes" theme.  See you soon with more ideas!  ~Maureen

Having FUN with July Stampin' Friends Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin' Friends Anything Goes Blog Hop!  Okay - so anyone who knows me basically knows if anything goes - well then - that anything, will be COFFEE.  So I seized the opportunity to share Stampin' Up's great new Coffee Break suite.  You can find it on pages 30 and 31 of the Annual Catalog.
First I'm sharing a great Shaker Card made with real coffee grounds.  I gotta say the room smelled wonderful while I was making this - and yes - I am a coffee addict.  These were the cards we also made in my July techniques clubs.
The inside of the coffee cup is cut out with the coffee cup framelits, and I added a window sheet, the cup lid and amazing coffee grounds inside the shaker -
The front portion of this card acts also as a pocket to hold a gift card for the recipient - just pull on the tab at the top to reveal it -
Here is a picture of the inside of the card -
Then - since I am such an addict - I made myself this amazing notebook set to carry in my purse using the SU stamp case and the Coffee Break designer series paper.  The sentiment is taken from the new Ribbon of Courage set.
I punched out the starburst and fussy cut the pot and cup to make a cute little cover image.  But inside is where the magic happens -
It features the reverse side of the same sheet of designer series paper, another verse from the Ribbon of Courage set - a pocket for coupons, etc - a pen and a post-it note tablet.  The best thing is because this is all contained in the stamp case - you can throw it in your purse and it does not get ruined.  I really, really LOVE it and hope you do too.  Please leave a comment and let me know what you think - and encourage your friends to check out our blog hop this month for great stamping ideas.

Now be sure to continue on the hop by clicking the names below! You’re at Maureen Rauchfuss’ post to help orient yourself.  ~Maureen
