Open House Fun

So here is the second make and take we did at the Open House - it's a black and white masculine card using the Wetlands set - and customers could do Father's day or Happy Birthday.  I love the sketchy look of it (a case from a similar one I saw on Pinterest).  You can't tell in the picture, but the black layer was popped up on dimensionals.
At the Open House we had lots of giveaways - here I am with Meg as she won a spool of ribbon.
Here's a picture of stampers working on their make and takes and looking through the new catalog.
And perusing the new catalog and specials.
Fun day, fun stamping.....  stop back for more on our Open House! ~Maureen

Open House Projects

As promised today I'm back with the rest of the FREE make and take projects we made at our Open House.  These were for everyone to do.  First this adorable tag made with these NEW products - Epic Day DSP, Pool Party CS, Smoky Slate Stamp Pad and the Hello, Lovely stamp set.  So cute.
Then they got to make this greeting card and envelope with these NEW products - Modern Mosaic embossing folder, Quatrefancy DSP, the Mosaic Madness set and Mosaic punch; and Label Love stamp set with the Artisan label punch.
Finally they each got to make one of these adorable bookmarks for their new catalogs using our Five NEW in-colors and the Smoky Slate cardstocks.  On the back it shows their names.   These are also a gift from me to anyone who purchases a new catalog from me.
Catalogs are $5.00 each if you can pick up and they come with a $5.00 off coupon to use on your first purchase.  Here's a close-up of the bookmark.  Let me know if you'd like to order a catalog.

Stop back soon to see what else I've been working on.  ~Maureen

Tree Clothespin Clip

So today I want to share our 3rd Make and Take from our Holiday Open House - it's an adorable, quick and easy decorated clothespin - perfect for closing a Christmas package or how about topping a bag of homemade cocoa or snowman soup?!?  Love it!!

1.  Using Tombow Glue attach strips of DSP to front and back of Clothespins.
2.  Stamp tree and remove green from trunk with wet Qtip.  Marker trunk with brown and stamp.
3.  Using framelit - cut it out on the Big Shot.
3.  Attach  tree to clothespin with 2 dimensionals.
4.  Punch star out of Cherry Cobbler and attach to tree with glue dot.
5.  Add a gem to middle of star.
THIS IS A GREAT CRAFT TO USE UP ALL YOUR STRIPS AND SCRAPS OF CARDSTOCK AND DSP!! ~Maureen

Holiday Gift Bag

Here is the second Make and Take from our Open House last week - what a great way to use up those 1/2" scraps of DSP.

1.  Choose a brown tree stem 4" x 1/2" and tape to bag with tape on top, middle and bottom on stem.
2.  Choose Designer Series paper strips of each size (1", 2", 3", 4", 5") and tape as shown on your bag - no need to keep straight - these are crazy trees :)  Use a small piece of tape on each end and in the middle of each strip.
3.  Choose a treetop star and attach to bag with a glue dot.  Add a gem for some sparkle!
4.  Stamp "Merry Christmas" on white layer and tape to brown layer - all done!
Here are a bunch ready to fill with Christmas goodies.

Quick and Easy Gift Tags

This was our first Make and Take at our Open House last week - a set of quick and easy gift tags for your Christmas gifts -

1.  Take a 2 3/4" x 6" piece of Crumb Cake and a 1" x 6" piece of Holiday DSP
2.  Put a strip of 2 sided tape along the middle of the back of the DSP and tape down to the bottom of your piece of Crumb Cake (or other cardstock.)
3.  Cut linen thread 6" long.
4.  Then cut the strip of Crumb Cake into 3 - 2"x 2 3/4" pieces as shown in picture.
5.   Stamp "To: From:" on Crumb Cake tags with a coordinating stamp color.
6.  Punch a small hole in the top of each of your tags as shown, and feed the linen thread
through and tie.  Voila - tags in an instant.
YOU COULD DO THIS WITH 12" STRIPS AND CREATE YOU TAGS FOR CHRISTMAS VERY QUICKLY!!
So here are all mine - I just need to add names and add to my packages :)    ~Maureen

Open House Make and Takes

Below are the three FREE make and takes that customers attending our Open House a couple weeks ago got to make.  They focused on new products and I think our customers really like them.  The first was this note card using the NEW "Make a Cake" set, NEW "Patio Party" DSP, and the NEW In-colors - "Midnight Muse", "Primrose Petals" and "Summer Starfruit".
The second project was this elegant gift tag (or could also be used as a bookmark) - it features the NEW set "Everything Eleanor" that we received at Leadership earlier this year. It's a collage of some of the wonderful images with the flower popped up, and it uses coordinating "Comfort Cafe" DSP and "Comfort Cafe" fabric.  So cute!
Finally, everyone who came got to make this cute little page marker for their new catalogs - they punched out and mounted 5 little hears -one of each of the new "In-colors" and  mounted them in the appropriate square.  This helps them see the true colors of this new product.
All in all - it was a great day - lots of fun - lots of prizes!! Can't wait till our next one.  Stop back soon!  ~Maureen

Make and Take Gifts

So when Heidi, Theresa and I arrived at our make and take session at Leadership - look what awaited us - two wonderful gifts.  These were soooo unexpected.  The first was this adorable roll up tote - with different sections to put your notebook; pens; make-up; Ipad - or whatever you'd like!  It matches the adorable tote we got - which I'll share soon.  But sooo fun!  The second was the cute little box filled with CHOCOLATE - three different kinds of homemade chocolate - dark with cranberries; light with nuts and white with oreo cookies - all so yummy!  Stampin' Up! never ceases to amaze me!
