My how times flies - I cannot believe it's been over a week since I blogged. I promise I will try to do better. My goal is always every other day - and sometimes I'm great and blog every day - and others - well this past week was an example of that. In my defense the last week or so was filled with -
*a trip to Cambria CA for some much needed R&R to celebrate Hubbies birthday
*a trip to Southern CA to see family and hold my TEAM meeting for my downline
*a special Gramma/Papa day with our sweet grand-daughter, Makai
*a lot of family time and energy spent trying to decide what is best for my 95 year old Mother-in-laws living situation
*new concrete work going in at our home - extending driveway, adding a backyard patio
*cortisone shots in my knee to relieve some pain of a recent knee twist
and much, much more - so busy was the word! Below is a picture of two of my sweet team members, Karen and Virginia at our Shoebox swap!
Karen brought a bunch of beautiful card samples to share with the group - and I thought I would share some of them with all of you also - for some creative inspiration. Thanks Karen - love them!! Stop back soon to see the cards we created at the Shoebox swap.
See you soon!!! Promise :) ~Maureen

Tea-riffic!
I love this little tea pot - awhile back I shared this card that I made for the coffee (and tea) lovers blog hop.
I wanted to reproduce it for a cards class - but struggled with getting the little thin wavy line die cuts to stick without having glue show - even using the fine point glue. Some of my ladies are brand new - and I wanted them to have success. So I changed it up a bit - took the wavy lines off and added these three little flowers. And you know what - I like it even better.
I really love this card - and hope everyone I send it to will like it also. ~Maureen

March Christmas Card 2
So here's the second design we had for Christmas Cards in March. This card uses the Wondrous Wreath set from our Annual catalog, as well as the Wonderful Wreath framelits. And the window is made with the Hearth and Home thinlits dies from the Occasions catalog. It just shouts out the warmth of Christmas to me with that glowing yellow window.
Framelits make it so easy to die cut the images and the card comes together in a snap. Here's the window portion of the card as I was working on a layout.
For a bit of added glitz we heat embossed the berries in gold on the card, popped up the wreath on dimensionals and added the little candy do to the bow. Hope you like it!! ~Maureen

March Christmas Card 1
Sharing one of the two Christmas Cards we made at my last Christmas Cards class. I really like how it turned out. I used the "Reason for the Season" stamp set and the Festive Flower Builder punch from our Occasions catalog for all the petals. You can get these items as a bundle through May 31, 2016.
Punched out two of the double petals, four of the medium, and eight of the large. Then stuck them all together with glue dots. Added the little glitter "X" and a gem to the center. By rolling the petals around a pen and gently folding them - you get all this dimension - yet it lays pretty flat for mailing.
The background was just tone on tone, using an image from the set - and I really like the look. But the real star of this card, is that beautiful glitter washi tape! It was only available during Sale-a-bration and is gone now - but I am so hoping Stampin' Up! decides to bring it back. It is beautiful.
You might notice the cards are different colors of brown above. The one on the left is what we made at class using Early Espresso ink. My first try was Soft Suede, but I liked the darker brown better. Sometimes I end up making several versions of a card design before I get what I love.
Here's a previous card I had made with the same set and shared before. Hoping to get a Christmas card class in this month, as it is a crazy month. Working on my class schedule now. See you soon!! ~Maureen

These kits are amazing, and fun, and easy, and complete - and did I say amazing?!?! Each month a complete kit comes right to your door - and each month it is a surprise - sometimes cards, sometimes 3D items - sometimes scrapbooking items. That's all part of the fun! With your very first kit you will receive an acrylic block - that you will need to keep and use for future kits. But other than that - everything you need comes in the monthly kits - precut cardstock, envelopes, adhesives, embellishments, etc. - all included. When my kits come - the grandkids want me to open immediately so we can see what it is and CREATE!! These kits only take an hour or two max. to create - so grab a cup of something delish and relax and have fun!!! This was the amazing March kit - cards, envelopes and gift card enclosures.
