Monday Funday - Challenge #4 - color challenge and contest!

Monday Funday - Challenge #4 and contest!

Changing it up again for this Monday Challenge - we're going to do a color challenge!  So here are the colors you can work with -
~*~*~*~*~
Challenge #4 -  So here is the deal - your card does not have to use Stampin' Up! products - although I would LOVE that.   So, if you don't have these exact colors use ones you have that are as close as possible.  You do not need to use all four colors - but you do need to use at least two of them - and you can add neutrals ie. black, white, vanilla and other colors if you like.  If you use all four colors above - you get a bonus entry.  Once done, you need to go to my facebook page search Crazy Stamping Lady - like the page if you have not done so; and post your picture of your card in the comments of the Challenge #4 Post. Here's the direct link to my FACEBOOK page - click HERE.
BONUS OFFER -
And, since I am trying to get as many people as possible to play along - if you invite a friend to play - and they post a picture and mention you invited them - not only will they get an entry - but you'll get a BONUS entry too.  So here is what I came up with for my inspiration - it uses the brand new Ornate Garden Suite that will be in the next annual catalog - but is being offered early -

You can see just how beautiful this set is - and for me and my coloring addiction - well, it was perfect.  The flowers were colored with SU! blends.

I especially like those beautiful ornate layer dies - they cut such amazingly intricate layers.  Loved them so much I had to use another on the inside.
Hoping this picture close up - also shows you the new gilded gems that are part of the suite - they glimmer like gold.  But really this is only a small part of what is offered in the suite - you can check it all out HERE!

Now it's your turn - pick your colors from those above - make your card - and post to my Facebook page no later than Noon, Sunday, April 19th for a chance to win a sampling of DSP perfect for card front layering - good luck!  Can't wait to see all your cards.    ~Maureen

March Christmas Card 1

Sharing one of the two Christmas Cards we made at my last Christmas Cards class.  I really like how it turned out.  I used the "Reason for the Season" stamp set and the Festive Flower Builder punch from our Occasions catalog for all the petals.  You can get these items as a bundle through May 31, 2016.

Punched out two of the double petals, four of the medium, and eight of the large.  Then stuck them all together with glue dots.  Added the little glitter "X" and a gem to the center.  By rolling the petals around a pen and gently folding them - you get all this dimension - yet it lays pretty flat for mailing.
The background was just tone on tone, using an image from the set - and I really like the look.  But the real star of this card, is that beautiful glitter washi tape!    It was only available during Sale-a-bration and is gone now - but I am so hoping Stampin' Up! decides to bring it back.  It is beautiful.

You might notice the cards are different colors of brown above.  The one on the left is what we made at class using Early Espresso ink.  My first try was Soft Suede, but I liked the darker brown better.  Sometimes I end up making several versions of a card design before I get what I love.
Here's a previous card I had made with the same set and shared before.  Hoping to get a Christmas card class in this month, as it is a crazy month.  Working on my class schedule now.  See you soon!! ~Maureen
