Valentine's Day Stamp Camp - Part I

For the next few days I'm going to share the projects we made at our recent Valentine's Day Stamp Camps!  What a great group (actually two groups) of ladies came together on Super Bowl Sunday to create these great projects.  Here are the three candy treats we made -
A close-up of a little wrapped Hershey's candy bar -
Close-up of topper number one on a cello bag of conversation hearts -
and a close-up of topper number two on a cello bag full of M&M's -
This was the first of four projects we made - so stop by soon to see the rest!! ~Maureen

Club Hostess Gift

Today I want to share my hostess gift for my January Club Hostess.  It was our last club before Valentine's day - so I went with that theme.  It's red frame made into a wipe off board (All my club hostesses this year get them - but each is decorated differently).  I opened the frame and added Crumb Cake cardstock and ribbon from the Artisan kit in the current SU Spring catalog.
Then closed it back up again and added some more trims from the Artisan kit and a red marker.  I think it turned out really cute!  See you soon.  ~Maureen

Valentine Treat Box

Hi all - today I'm sharing pictures of the great little Valentine gift box we made at Club!! Here's the top and you can see the ribbon ties shut the flaps.  Open them and you can fill with some sweet goodies!!
Here's a front view - note the little spritzed rose on the front :)
I found the instructions for this online, and I am so frustrated - because I cannot find it now :(  I don't know how I lost it -but will continue looking.  If I can locate will update this post with the link.
HEALTH UPDATE:  Special thank you to all who sent me thoughts and prayers for my knee surgery today - everything went great and I'm feeling wonderful - thank you all so much!! ~Maureen

Club Valentine

Last time I shared our technique of the smooch spritz.  Today I want to share the lovely Valentine we made in club and we used the smooch spritz to add a little sparkle.  Isn't this card beautiful?  It combines old products and new to make an amazing Valentine card.  I love the red/pink with the black - really makes it pop.
Here's a close up of the card and you can see the spritz on it.  The hear layers are raised on dimensional, and  I'm not sure if you can see it, but there is a small gem in the middle of the flower on the heart - for a small added touch.
Hope  you enjoyed today's card - use it as inspiration to make a card for someone you love!! ~Maureen

Spritz Technique and Roses

Today I want to share our technique from my technique club this month.  We did Homemade Smooch Spritz - this stuff is great and you can make it in any color you like - even add some glitter for sparkle.
It's great for spritzing on cards, but for one of our projects I used it to spritz the new SU ribbon roses and it looked lovely.
Below is a close-up of the roses after they dried - if you look closely you can see a little of that shimmer paint we added for shimmer.
See you soon!  ~Maureen

Kamili and Gramma a Special Day!

A couple weeks ago Kamili and I had our special day and what a nice day it was.  We started the day at my house drawing and crafting.  Then had lunch at Red Robin - our favorite lunch spot :)
Afterward we walked through the mall, and got a cute little Lady Bug and some clothes for her teddy bear at Build a Bear.  Then we did some journaling of our day together.
Before heading home we stopped for ice cream and gummy bears and brought some back to share with her siblings.  I had a lot of trouble walking due to my current knee trouble - but she was very patient and held my hand and walked slowly with me.  What a sweetie - and what a fun day!  Love you Kamili!! ~Gramma

Retro Cross-stitch Cards

Look at these adorable cross-stitch cards available in the current mini catalog from Stampin' Up! - how great are these.   It is the Sweet Threads Simply Sent kit - item #126924.   I remember doing cross-stitch cards similar to this the 70's and I loved them.  These kits come with the bases pre-printed in pink and green, white envelopes, 8 die-cut pattern pieces (4 flowers, 4 cupcakes), embroidery floss, needles and dimensionals.  You can also purchase a coordinating stamp set with the words "Thank  You" and "Happy Birthday", but I opted to use a "thanks" that I had on hand.  I also added the Regal Rose Taffeta Ribbon for a little added touch - but they were pretty even before.
I really love how they turn out and they are soooo fast to complete.
You can order these and any other Stampin' Up! products you'd like at www.stampingwithmaureen.stampinup.net !!  Check it out!  ~Maureen

Stamp Camp Valentine

Here's the second card we made at this month's Cards Stamp Camp - an early Valentine.  It uses some great new products from Stampin' Up!  I absolutely LOVE the Honeycomb embossing folder - it looks great anyway you use it.  We cut a few extra honeycomb pieces out of DSP and taped them on to add some great contrast.
Hope you liked it!! ~Maureen
