And the Birthday Celebration continues -

Shannon West at Stampin' Up! headquarters started a "imbringingbirthdaysback" campaign this year encouraging each of us to mail a beautiful handmade card to our friends and family rather than just leave a facebook message - which has become so easy.  As you know I took her to heart and have sent a birthday card to anyone requesting one.  That offer continues - if you'd like to receive a card - just send me your name, address and date of birth MM/DD to my email on the sidebar - and I'll be sure to send you one.  Judging from the many beautiful cards I received this year- my friends and downline have also adopted the "imbringingbirthdaysback" campaign.  So the birthday cards continue - and make me smile!!  This first card is from my downline, Lisa H.  It uses everyone's favorite- Swirly Birds.  I absolutely love the colors and that POP of black - such a fun card!!!
My next card is from my downline and friend, Meg.  I this it is a birthday card that just elicits happy wishes - balloons, bows, ruffles and ice cream (plus a little bling).  This card is so feminine - I'm gonna have to case it for my grand-daughters I think :)
And today's third beautiful card is from my downline, Nelly.  This is so my kind of card - cute and clean.  The colors are amazing and happy, and her flower has so much dimension.  Happy card for happy wishes - what could be better.
But - I'm not done - there are more and more and maybe more!!! I hope all of these lovely cards are inspiring you to get your supplies out and start stamping!!  ~Maureen

Downline and Roommate gifts -

By the time you see this post I will (God-willing) be in Salt Lake City for the last annual convention (they are switching to a semi-annual OnStage event that will be similar but different).  It has been tradition for me to make downline and roommate gifts, so that is what I am working on today.  This "Cherry On Top" DSP pad is full of such FUN patterns - that I thought it would be perfect for FUN goodies.  I had some plastic purses that I had ordered for a different purpose - and what I had left was perfect for what I wanted to make.
I used Bermuda Bay cardstock to make a base to go in the purse, then added different patters of the DSP package to make the sides.
Side one above and side two below -
Made up bunch of these cute little bows to go on the front of  each, but am protecting them in a box while I travel and will attach when I get to convention.  The bow builder punch makes it so easy to put perfect cardstock bows together.
Here's a sneak peek of the work in progress.  I'll take a final picture when they are all put together, but probably won't get to post till we're back home Monday.  I'll also take a picture of the goodies inside.  Hope they all like them.
I'm typing this up on Wed. morning before heading to Phoenix to catch my flight to Salt Lake - getting really excited.  I'll try and post a few updates from Convention if I can on my Facebook business page - Crazy Stamping Lady - so like my page if you'd like to get updates as well as ongoing creative ideas!  See you soon ~Maureen

Bow Punch at Downline Meeting

At this month's quarterly meeting I demonstrated some of the fun things you can make with Stampin' Up!'s bow builder punch.  The combination of things you can do is almost unlimited!!  It's fun and easy - and makes a great impact on your cards or 3D projects.
After my demonstration, Paula, on the left, provided us with a great project using the bow punch.
Paula and Lois having some stamping FUN!
So below is that finished project - we had our choice of colors and made this adorable little box - just big enough for a tea bag or two, or a special little treat - isn't it adorable!   You can see more of Paula's work at HER BLOG .  Thanks for a great project Paula.
See you soon!!  ~Maureen
