Some recent cards from my stash!

Many of you know my goal is to send at least one card a day - and I pretty much stay on track with that goal.  Last year was over 900 cards, and this year, from the look of things, I will exceed that.  So today I'm sharing a couple card designs we recently made in classes - I always make extras to send.  This first one is a simple floral card using the Pop of Petals set on page 16 of the Annual catalog; and our new Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper.
The second card is more butterflies from Butterfly Gala on page 46 of the annual catalog and my favorite dandelion set Dandelion Wishes on page 77.  For this one we used the spotlight technique - spotlighting those beautiful weeds that are going to seed lol!  There is a little gem in the  middle of each flower.
And my last card today is just a beautiful, delicate, simple card that is perfect for any occasion.  It uses the Flourishing Phrases set from page 35 of the annual catalog.  The sentiments in this set are definitely some of my favs - I just love the combo of fonts used.  The flower was stamped three times in coordinating colors - cut apart and layered with dimensionals.
Hope you enjoyed these cute and easy card ideas today - come back soon for Day 2 of my Italy/Greek Isles trip through Stampin' Up!  ~Maureen

Merry Everything - Happy Always!!!

So I'm sharing a quick and cute card that we recently made.  It came together so quickly - but I love the look and it just makes me smile!  I used the "Suite Seasons" set - which is great as it has verses that cover Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and a general verse - so it makes it very versatile (no pun intended).
Also used the "This Christmas" lightweight Designer Series Paper - which I LOVE!!!!  I have it on a ton of cards this year - great designs, and because it is lightweight it is wonderful for adding layers to your card, without the bulk for mailing.  It is of course reversible, so here it is using the other side.
After assembling the card we added three little red gems - these are actually the clear Stampin' Up! gems - just colored ahead of time with a red sharpie.  It adds that little bit of bling that every holiday card needs.
Hope you like this card - I think it's perfect - clean, sharp and simple!  Would love to hear what you think!  ~Maureen

2nd Cute and Clean Card

So here is the second card we did last week at Girl's Night Out cards - I wanted a fun and bright Birthday card that could be used for anyone and this is what I came up with.  The colors just make me HAPPY and just about any patter of paper from this DSP set could be used.  I just pulled out the different colors - and used them for the layers and circles.
A little bit of Baker's Twine in daffodil and few sparkly stars - and we're done - sure to bring a smile to any birthday "person's" face.  See you soon.  ~Maureen

Hello There....

So - I know, I know - I've been missing in action.  Wow, the packing, getting ready for retiring at work, and trying to sell a  house really takes it out of a gal.  I thought I was tired before - lol!  So I'm so sorry that - really have been slacking off in the area of blogging.  But today I'm sharing a simple - but really cute card.
As soon as I saw this vine in the catalog - I had to have it.  This card has been made in just about every color imaginable - and it is cute every time.  So we made this at last week's down line meeting, and then - rather than reinvent the wheel - we made it again at my Cute and Clean cards.  I really love it.  The little blossoms are punched, curved and pearls colored with sharpies are added to the centers.  Then we attached them to the vine with glue dots.  I really love this card - hope you do too.  ~Maureen

Clean and Cute Card 2

So here is the other card I made for my Cute and Clean Stamp Camp.  I LOVE everything in this year's Sale-a-bration catalog - and this card is the perfect example why.  Isn't it LOVELY!  For this card there are two ways to make it and I like both.  The first uses our Irresistibly cardstock sponged with Old Olive so that the resist design pops through -
But here it is not sponged and very elegant looking with the glossy tone on tone.
Not sure which I like better - so I ended up doing a few of both - the look great either way.  Below you can see them side by side.
Let me know your favorite.  And check out my website www.stampingwithmaureen.stampinup.net to order and get your FREE sale-a-bration product with each $50 purchase, and you can have your order shipped right to your home.  Any questions - let me know!   ~Maureen

Cute & Clean Card 1

Today I'm showing the card I designed for this month's Cute and Clean Stamp Camp.  It uses some terrific products from the current Sale-a-bration Catalog - that you can get FREE with a $50 merchandise purchase.  I love the crisp cleanness of this card.  It's bright and cheery - and the sentiment can be used for so many things - Best Day Ever - the day you were born; or the day we met; or yesterday, being with you; or Sunday when we went to Disneyland.....get it!
This card is pretty much just a series of layers with a big, bold verse - and that's all it needs.  Nothing is even popped up - it's all just taped together.  The ribbon tied around the flower and the pearl center - give it just those added touches to make it extra special.

It uses three different items from Sale-a-bration - the ribbon, the DSP and the stamp set - see info below.  Hope you like it as much as I do - let me know with your comments.  ~Maureen
