SF-2022 March Blog Hop - Monochromatic March!

Be sure to hop through all the blogs on the list near the bottom for tons of wonderful inspiration as we Celebrate Monochromatic March!
 ~*~*~*~*~

This month is all about projects that are monochromatic - perfect, because I have always loved this style.  It's Spring officially and so I decided to go with an Easter theme with my favorite color - YELLOW!

I made the card using the absolutely adorable duckie from the "Easter Friends" set from page 27 of the J-J Mini Catalog.

#157737 Cost in U.S. Market $23.00*

All of the animals in this set are so cute - but Duckie won for my card -

Colored him with blends and layered him onto Crushed Curry and Daffodil Delight.  Used my Daffodil Delight Blend to color the ribbon so it would match.  And of course, had to stamp the inside of the card and envelope-

Then for the matching little treat basket - filled with matching monochromatic Cadbury mini eggs.

So quick and easy to make.  Take a 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" square of Crushed Curry cardstock and score on one side at 1 1/2" and 3"; turn 90 degrees and score on that side at 1 1/2" and 3" again - forms a tic-tac-toe grid.  Cut in on each side on the two score lines till you hit the vertical scorelines.  Then you will pull the two lose flaps on each side up and adhere to the center side section to form the basket.  I added a handle 1/2" x 5 1/2" and decorated with that cute baby chick.

Quick tip: I now used netting in the bottom on my baskets instead of shred.  It works great - light and fluffy - you can get in any color - and it's much less messy.
Hope you liked my Monochromatic March projects - I love them - yellow just makes me happy!

Love, love, love your creations! Thanks for the quick tip about netting. I have a ton of netting—leftover from some past projects.

Love your projects and especially the basket. It looks to be the perfect size for my peanut butter eggs for Easter.
