2016 Spring Coffee Lover's Blog Hop

It's HERE - and I'm so excited to be a part of this blog hop - nothing better than the combination of stamping, blogging and coffee!!  Just click on the words "blog hop" in the first sentence to take your right to the hop and scroll down for the links to all the cards!  So here's my first card on the hop - It uses the amazing "A Nice Cuppa" stamp set and coordinating "Cups and Kettle" framelit dies from Stampin' Up!  You all know I am a coffee girl - but this teapot image was just too cute to pass up!

My favorite part - that adorable steam heart coming out of the teapot of course! The actual teapot and lid are popped up on dimensionals, which you can see better below.

Holiday Coffee Lovers Bloghop

I made it - it's the last day for me to add my card to this blog hop and this entire week got away from me.  But I am so addicted to coffee (and stamping) that I couldn't not post - so I did it!  Nothing fancy - but I like it.  Used the Verve "Better with You" set and Stampin' Up!'s "Snow Place" for the holly - added some colored pearls - and my favorite saying from the set!!

Personal Post Monday - I've been crocheting :)

I do love lots of different crafts - and even though I'd say stamping is my favorite - in the evenings, while relaxing and watching TV I love to crochet.  I can pretty much do it without looking down much - so I can enjoy TV and accomplish something at the same time.  Today I wanted to share some of the afgans I have made over the last year.  The first I gave to my daughter, Jenee - I picked the colors and she liked it - so it was hers.  But I think if she wants I'll let her pick out colors and make her another more personal for her.

 

So after showing my other daughter, Heidi, what I had made, I asked if she'd like one and she said yes, and she wanted me to pull out some of the colors from her pillows on her couch - so I did - and below is her finished afghan.

So after making hers I had a bunch of yarn left - so I made up this afghan below.

And by then my scrap yarn basket was pretty full - so I decided to make an afghan up just of scraps - and here it is.  I actually really like how it turned out.  No rhyme or reason - just stripes of scraps.  And it is all double crochet - so nice and warm.  I'm sure it will be used in the winter months ahead.

Isn't this adorable.  I absolutely LOVE this set from Stampin' Up! and so sad it is now retired - but I will keep forever!!!  So here's the package clipped with a cute little coffee cup clip made with a clothespin - great way to close your packages.

Coffee Lovers Holiday Blog Hop

Oh COFFEE - just the thought of it brings a smile to my face.  So I wanted to do a fun holiday card that highlights - just that - COFFEE!  For my card I chose to use a cute little coffee stamp that my daughter, Heidi, carved.  You can see the blog post about it HERE.  And you can check out more of her great work at www.stampinking.blogspot.com

I stamped the cup she carved several times in green with special red cup right in the middle - that I made it the "STAR" of the card - get it - the STAR! I then stamped the great little saying from Stampin' Up's Perfect Blend set, added a couple cute holly leaves and colored gem berries and I'm ready to relax with my own cup of coffee.  Enjoy!
