It's Sunday - and time to share another great card and free tutorial !   How fun is this - it uses a Holiday set to make an amazing birthday card.  Just a reminder to think out of the box when using your sets - I  hope you like it!

Gift of Giving

Supplies:

 ·       Stamp Sets: Gift of Giving (162075), So Serene (162283)

·       Card Stock and Paper: Basic White, Melon Mambo (115320), (159276), Basic Black (121045), Merry Bold & Bright DSP (161945)

·       Stamp Pads: Craft White (147277). Tuxedo Black (132708), Pool Party (147107). Poppy Parade (147050), Granny Apple Green (147095), Blueberry Bushel (147138), Crushed Curry (147087), Melon Mambo (147051)

·       Tools: Heat Tool (129053), Water Painter (151298)

·       Miscellaneous: Iridescent Adhesive-Backed Discs (161954), Festive Pearls (159963) Simply Elegant Trim (155766)

Basics emboss powders (155554)

 Measurements:

 ·       Melon Mambo: 5 ½” x 8 ½”

·       Basic White: 4” x 5 ¼”, 2 ½” x 4 ½”

·       Basic Black: ½” x 3”

·       Merry Bold & Bright DSP: ½” x 2 ½”

·       Trim: 8”

Instructions:

 1.    Cut a 5 ½” x 8 ½” Melon Mambo card base. Fold in half.

2.    Stamp the packages onto Basic White cardstock using Craft White ink.

3.    Sprinkle with white embossing powder and heat set.

4.    Color the images using a water painter and Poppy Parade, Granny Apple Green, Blueberry Bushe, Crushed Curry & Melon Mambo inks. Cut.

5.    Stamp the snowflakes randomly over the 4” x 5 ¼” Basic White panel using Pool Party ink.

6.    Adhere the panel to the card base.

7.    Cut a ½” x 2 ½” piece of Merry Bold & Bright DSP.

8.    Cut a “v” in the bottom to create a banner.

9.    Adhere the banner to the left side of the card front.

10. Cut a ½” x 3” piece of Basic Black cardstock.

11. Cut a “v” in the bottom to create a banner.

12. Stamp the sentiment onto the banner using Craft White ink. Let dry completely or lightly heat set.

13. Adhere the banner to the card front.

14. Tie a large bow in the silver trim.

15. Adhere the bow to the BACKSIDE of the packages.

16. Adhere the packages to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

17. Stamp the sentiment onto the card front using Tuxedo Black ink.

18. Adhere (5) adhesive discs randomly to the card front.

19. Adhere (3) silver Festive Pearls randomly to the card front.

 Measurements:

 ·       Poppy Parade: 5 ½” x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”

·       Basic White:  4” x 5 ¼” (cut 2)

·       DSP Fa La La Pattern:  3 ¾” x 5” (note pattern direction)

·       Ribbon: 5 ½”

 Instructions:

 1.    Fold card base on score line to create card.

2.    Cut the largest rectangle and the smallest rectangle from the center of one of the 4” x 5 ¼” Basic White pieces making sure to leave at least ¼” around the outside edges.  This piece will be used as a matting for the front of the card. 

3.    Attach the DSP piece to the matting Basic White piece and attach to the card.

4.    On the largest rectangle die cut, stamp the coffee cup image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Color using the Blends markers.  Use SU500 for the cookie and SU100 for the chocolate chips.

5.    On the small rectangle die cut, stamp the berry sprig using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Color using the Blends markers.

6.    Attach both rectangles to the card front using Dimensionals and overlapping a small amount at the top left.  Attach Silver Festive Pearls as desired.

7.    On the inside 4” x 5 ¼” Basic White piece, stamp Merry Christmas from the Rocking Horse stamp set using Poppy Parade ink.

8.    Stamp the berry sprig using Memento Tuxedo Black ink in the bottom left approximately ¾” up from the bottom.  Color using the Blends markers.

9.    Wrap the ribbon around the Basic White piece approximately ½” up from the bottom and then attach piece to the inside of the card.
