My newest grandneice, Ellie, was recently born to my nephew Steve and his wife Robyn. As is tradition - I have made a hand-crocheted baby blanket for every grandchild and every great neice and nephew. Here is my gift and card to her, along with a cute little dress by my daughter's company "Little Paisley."
Below is a picture of adorable Ellie all snuggly in her blanket. With the temps they've been having in the midwest - I think it arrived just in time.
Welcome little one - we're so happy you're part of our family. ~Great-Auntie Maureen

Twice Blessed!
So this past few months I have been doublely (not sure of that spelling:) blessed, with a brand new great neice Maggie, born to my neice Kelly and her husband Steve; and a brand new great nephew Mack born to my nephew Steve and his wife Robyn. I've tried to crochet a baby blanket for each new baby - although depending on the stage of my life at the time I might have missed one or two :( Anyway I wanted to share these two with you. My grandkids love their giant granny square blankets and sleep with them all the time, so I hope Maggie and Mack like them just as much! What blessings these little ones are.

Shower for Jen....
Hi all - My new neighbor Jen is expecting her second child and I went to her baby shower on Sunday. It was given by her Mother in law and Sister in law and it was just lovely. I wanted to share my gift for her - first here is the baby afgan I made for her. I love making these giant granny square afgan, as they are fast and I think beautiful. It's edged with a bit of a ruffle.
Here is the gift bag and card I stamped for her...
and the baby onsie I stamped for her (done using iron on transfer sheets for printers) - how cool is that.
Here's a close up of the butterflies - hope she liked the gifts.
I'm working on a gift for baby's room once she arrives - so watch for that coming soon :) See you soon ~Maureen

Non-stamped project
So my Godson Brian and his wife, Jen, had a baby girl on Christmas day - welcome Morgan Lou! She also has an adorable brother Owen at home. I am so very happy for them and their Christmas angel as well as my sister Sharon who is the proud Gramma. Wish I was closer to Wisconsin to share this moment with them. Hubby and I spent some days in Prescott, AZ following Christmas and I used the time in the car both there and back to finish up this afgan for Morgan. Since they didn't find out the sex of the baby till she was born, I did all the yellow strips ahead of time and then just added the pink ones when she was born. I also had blue yarn on hand just in case :)
I'm sending it off to them Monday with a cute little outfit for her. Hope you like it Morgan - know that every time you are wrapped in it, you are wrapped in my love!

Baby Gifts
It has truly been a baby boom in my family and circle of friends. Here is a baby gift I gave to my downline Kelly who recently had twin boys - Emerson and Hudson. Their room is blue and brown so I went with that theme. There are two outfits with matching beanies that I crocheted. Also a little brag book where she can keep their pictures to show off.
Here is a close up of the brag book - note the "2 Bugs" correction :)
And here is a brag book I made for my friend Kathy who recently became a Gramma to Harper.
Every Gramma has to have a brag book, or two, or three :) Thanks for stopping by!
