SF 2021 - Masculine Blog Hop

Be sure to hop through all the blogs on the list near the bottom for tons of wonderful inspiration as we celebrate the men in our lives with these masculine themed projects!

 ~*~*~*~*~
So I created a gift set - card and basket of some favorite treats for the man in my life.
I started with one of these adorable little crates (you can purchase from the Dollar tree).  I've decorated many times for hostess gifts - but thought why not just a little crate.
Using the In Good Taste DSP I covered the ends and slates of the crate. Each crate I buy is slightly different, so I just measured each end and the slates and cut DSP to fit.  Then used Tombow to attach each piece.  I love the way the wood grain paper changed the look of the crate.

After it was all covered I filled it with treats that I know my hubby will love.  I still might grab a couple more things - but this will be a fun little Father's Day gift for him.  After he eats all the goodies he can use the crate to hold note papers on his desk.
Next I made a clean and simple card.  My husband is a no frills kind of guy.  The Tailored Tag, to me, is very masculine so it was perfect for this style of card.  Vanilla base, Pale Papaya layer for a little color and then punches of the In Good Taste DSP.  I really love this type of card, and you can fill up the layer with punches as much or as little as you like.
He'll just love this no frills card with just a little Happy Father's Day inside.  But this would be just as appropriate for a birthday, or even just an "I Love You" gesture.
