• Card Stock and Paper: Crushed Curry CS (131199); Basic White CS (159276); Delightfully Eclectic 12”x12” Designer Series Paper (161640)

• Stamp Pads: Tuxedo Black Memento Ink (143708)

• Tools: Gorgeously Made Dies (161202); Banners Pick a Punch (153608)

• Miscellaneous: Blends: Calypso Coral (154881); Daffodil Delight (154883); Granny Apple Green (154885); Old Olive (154892); Night of Navy (154891); Basic Black (154843); Smoky Slate (154904); Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder (156392); Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430); Stampin’ Seal+ Adhesive (149699)

Measurements:

• Crushed Curry CS: 8 ½” x 5 ½”, 5” x 3 ¾”

• Basic White CS: 3 ¼” x ½”, scraps

• Delightfully Eclectic DSP: 4 ½” x 3 ½”

Instructions:

1. Score card base in half at 4 ¼” and fold on score line.

2. Emboss Crushed Curry panel using Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder.

3. Die cut top of DSP piece using Gorgeously Made die.

4. Adhere to embossed panel and trim sides of DSP to match Crushed Curry panel.

5. Stamp turtle on small scrap white cardstock using Memento Black ink.

6. Color using the following Blends: Lt. Old Olive, Dk. Granny Apple Green, Lt. Smoky Slate, Lt. Basic Black.

7. Stamp balloons (just need the balloon image) on scrap white cardstock, and color using the following Blends: Dk. Daffodil Delight, Lt, Night of Navy, Lt. Calypso Coral, and Dk. Granny Apple Green.

8. Die cut these two images.

9. Trim the balloons a bit more where the strings meet the racoon hands.

10. Adhere to DSP, using Dimensionals.

11. Stamp music notes on DSP using Memento Black ink.

12. Adhere this whole panel to card front, using Dimensionals.

13. Stamp sentiment on white cardstock strip using Memento Black ink.

14. Punch left side of strip using Banners Pick a Punch.

15. Adhere to card front, using Dimensionals.

 Measurements:

 ·       Pretty Peacock: 4 1/4” x 11” card base, 3” die-cut circle

·       Copper Clay: 3 3/4” x 5”, scraps for banner and twig die-cuts

·       Thick White: 2 1/2” die-cut circle, scrap for pot

·       Very Vanilla: 4” x 5 1/4”

·       Designer Series Paper: 3 1/2” x 4 3/4” (wood grain), scrap for large palm frond die-cut (Pretty Peacock)

 Instructions:

1.    Score card base at 3 1/2” and 9” along the 11” edge; fold and burnish.

2.    With the card base closed, mount the Copper Clay cardstock piece to the center of the card front, adhering the piece to the 2” top flap of the card base only.  

3.    Glue the wood look DSP to the center of the Copper Clay cardstock piece. 

4.    Mount the 3” Pretty Peacock die-cut circle to the center of the card front, overlapping the right edge slightly.

5.    Use a Blending Brush to add Crumb Cake shading to the center of the Thick White cardstock 2 1/2” die-cut circle.  Glue the circle to the center of the Pretty Peacock cardstock circle.  

6.    Stamp a Copper Clay ink pot image on Thick White cardstock, add Copper Clay ink shading on the right side of the pot image with Blending Brush; die-cut.

7.    Decorate the Thick White die-cut circle on the card front with pot, palm frond, twig, and fern leaf die-cuts adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Note:  The pot is mounted with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Add small daisy embellishments to the top of the pot on the right using a Fine Tip Glue Pen.

8.    Stamp a piece of Copper Clay cardstock with sentiment of choice using VersaMark ink, add white embossing powder; heat set. Use a banner die to cut out the sentiment.  Mount the die-cut banner to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals under the left side and Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the right end to the pot.

9.    Randomly add three In Color Dots to the card front.

10. Stamp the bottom right corner of the Very Vanilla cardstock piece with images and colors of choice to match the front of the card.  Glue the piece in the inside center of the card base.

SF-2023 July Blog Hop - Perfectly Punched!

 

Be sure to hop through all the blogs on the list near the bottom for great inspiration as we create some great projects lots of layers.

 This month's HOP is such fun - we're using punches.  Now I love dies just as much as the next guy (gal), and I love fussy cutting even better.  But when it comes to doing a quick easy card when I need to - I grab punches.  So that's just what I did for this hop - quick and easy cards with punches.

Then I pulled out the Irresistible Blooms stamp set (because I LOVE the "Hello" in this set) and the Hello, Irresistible DSP and started playing.  Here's what I came up with - 

Card 1 - Circle card -

For this card it is simply three circles - on one of them I punched out the little dragonfly and layered a piece of DSP behind it, then used that punched out dragonfly to pop up on another circle with a branch from the Bough punch.  Other than that, just a couple layers, some platters, some gems - and of course the Hello!

Card #2 - Strips Card - 

This card basically uses the same elements as the first card - but instead of circles I have six 1" x 3.5" strips of DSP and punched each end with the Happy Labels punch.  Then figured out how I wanted them to lay and finished off the card.  I do have a tip for getting the strips the way you want them.

I just place them on the layer until I get them how I like, then take a picture of it with my phone.  That way I can take them off and add to the layer one at a time following my picture - it works like a charm.

Simple Sketch #6 Challenge - July 2023

 

Join me for some new FUN! Each month I will be doing a new sketch challenge around the last week of the month.

A Monthly Sketch Challenge!

Here is the sketch! Use it as your inspiration - your card should contain all the layers, but you can take some liberty with them. Add any embellishments you wish.

You might recognize this from one of my FB videos - here is the card I created -

Just use the sketch and have fun.  The rest is up to you - just try and have similar layers!  The coloring on the sketch, is just to show the layers - use any colors you wish!!

Post the card(s) you make in the comments of my Facebook Business page HERE, Find the pinned Sketch challenge post at the top of my page and be sure to post by 7/31/2023, so they can be entered in my drawing on 8/1/2023.
