 Measurements:

 ·       Thick Basic White Card Stock: 5 1/2” x 8 1/2”

·       Basic White Card Stock: Scrap (label & stamped images)

·       Copper Clay Card Stock: 3 7/8” x 5 1/8”

·       DSP: 3 3/4” x 5”

·       Jute Trim: 24”

Instructions:

1.    Score & burnish fold @ 4 1/4”

2.    Layer Tartan Foil DSP on Pecan Pie Card Stock

3.    Separate Jute Trim into 3 strands, use 2 strands and wrap around the Tartan Foil DSP and Copper Clay Card Stock and tie a bow

4.    Die cut label from Nested Essential Dies

5.    Stamp Greeting onto label with Tuxedo Black Ink in the center and off to the right side as shown

6.    Stamp images on scrap basic white card stock and color with the Stampin’ Blends

7.    Die cut stamped images, adhere to label, adhere this to card front with dimensionals

8.    Embellish with In Color Dots

Paper Crafting Blog Hop October 2023 - Ribbon Spotlight!!

 

Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop for October 2023 - featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia. We have a wide array of projects and design styles to share with you this month - and every one of them is spotlighting ribbon!

So I have to admit - I love the thought of ribbon - I love having ribbon spools in every color - but I do not use a ton of ribbon on my cards. Just a simple bow here or there - so this month was a challenge to me as I wanted to showcase the ribbon in a different way. I think my card does that -

I am a clean and simple stamper - Stamps Ink and Paper pretty much do it for me.  I love the simplicity of this card using the oak leaves from the Season of Chic stamps set along with one of the set's great sentiments.  My colors are Pecan Pie and Copper clay.  So for my ribbon I chose the Burlap Ribbon from the Real Red/Burlap combo pack in our annual catalog and made a ruffle with it.  I just laid down a strip of our tear and tape and added the ribbon folding it back on it self to get this look - and I think it is perfect!  Here is how I mark my ribbon in combo packs as they are not marked individually.

Then of course I needed to finish the inside of the card - 

And the envelope to match - 

I'm so happy with how it came together - it is a perfect card for this season.  Can't wait to send it out.

·       Stamp Sets: Kindest Expressions (161415)

·       Card Stock and Paper: Pebbled Path CS (161722); Basic White CS (159276); Lemon Lime Twist CS (144245); Joy of Christmas DSP (161958)

·       Stamp Pads: Mossy Meadow (147111)

·       Tools: Gorgeously Made Dies (161202)

·       Miscellaneous: Multi-Purpose Liquid Adhesive (110755); Paper Trimmer (152392); Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (149653)

Measurements:

 ·       Pebbled Path Card Stock: Card Base 10 3/4” x 5 1/2”, score on 10 3/4” edge at 1 1/2”,  5 3/4”, 8 7/8” . Fold from left side to right – mountain, valley, valley. (Small/furthest right panel will fold over the top of the first two panels.) Cut strip for Belly Band 9” x 1 1/2”.

·       Cut Joy of Christmas DSP for card panels. 1st panel (left side) 1 1/2” x 5 1/4”. Center panel 2 3/4” x 5 1/4”. 3^rd Panel (right side) 1 1/4” x 5 1/4”.

·       Basic White Card Stock: 3 1/2” x 5” piece for die cut leaf sprig; 3 7/8” x 1 1/4” piece for belly band.

·       Lemon Lime Twist Card Stock: 3 1/2” x 5” piece for die cut leaf sprig.

 Instructions:

 ·       With the Pebbled Path card base flat (and horizontal), adhere the 1 1/2” x 5 1/4” DSP piece to the furthest left side panel. Now fold card flat from left to right on the second score line. (The 1st DSP panel will be face down at this point.) On the newly exposed left side panel, adhere the 2 3/4” x 5 1/4” of DSP. (The first panel should be folded back toward the left and will become the center panel.) Fold the right panel over the center panel and adhere the 1 1/4” x 5 1/4” DSP strip.

·       Die cut the Gorgeously Made leaf sprig (1 each) from Basic White CS and Lemon Lime Twist CS.

·       Using Mossy Meadow ink, stamp the “Thanks So Much” sentiment onto the 3 7/8” x 1 1/4” Basic White belly band piece.

·       Fold the Pebbled Path strip around the card and adhere to itself at the backside of card to create the belly band base. (Remove the belly band from the card before continuing.)

·       Glue the Lemon Lime Twist leaf sprig to the Pebbled Path belly band. Adhere the Basic White leaf sprig, slightly offset, over the Lemon Lime Twist sprig.

·       Adhere the sentiment panel to the belly band, placing it over the leaf sprigs. “Branch” ends should be exposed slightly below the sentiment block.

·       Slide finished belly band over card.

 Measurements:

 ·       Poppy Parade: 5 ½” x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”

·       Basic White:  4” x 5 ¼” (cut 2)

·       DSP Fa La La Pattern:  3 ¾” x 5” (note pattern direction)

·       Ribbon: 5 ½”

 Instructions:

 1.    Fold card base on score line to create card.

2.    Cut the largest rectangle and the smallest rectangle from the center of one of the 4” x 5 ¼” Basic White pieces making sure to leave at least ¼” around the outside edges.  This piece will be used as a matting for the front of the card. 

3.    Attach the DSP piece to the matting Basic White piece and attach to the card.

4.    On the largest rectangle die cut, stamp the coffee cup image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Color using the Blends markers.  Use SU500 for the cookie and SU100 for the chocolate chips.

5.    On the small rectangle die cut, stamp the berry sprig using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Color using the Blends markers.

6.    Attach both rectangles to the card front using Dimensionals and overlapping a small amount at the top left.  Attach Silver Festive Pearls as desired.

7.    On the inside 4” x 5 ¼” Basic White piece, stamp Merry Christmas from the Rocking Horse stamp set using Poppy Parade ink.

8.    Stamp the berry sprig using Memento Tuxedo Black ink in the bottom left approximately ¾” up from the bottom.  Color using the Blends markers.

9.    Wrap the ribbon around the Basic White piece approximately ½” up from the bottom and then attach piece to the inside of the card.
