We are off on our Cruise to Norway – thank you to everyone who ordered from me - for making this trip possible.  We are so excited!!  

There was a last minute flight cancellation, and so we will not get to spend a day in London sightseeing – but if all goes well and there are no flight delays – we should be on the ship on Sunday morning!  I appreciate any prayers to this end.

We are going to be off the grid while we are gone – as we don’t get home until late Sunday the 28^th – so no emails, or FB Lives as we are not getting the "wifi" package – we are just going to relax and enjoy!!

Paper Crafting Blog Hop May 2023 - All About our Guys!!

 Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop for May 2023 - featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia. We have a wide array of projects and design styles to share with you this month - all about animals and punches!

I can hardly believe we are halfway through May - Father's day is right around the corner - so we have guys on our mind. But for me when I think of guys I think of my seven brothers (one sadly, now deceased). I make cards for all of the so male themed card ideas are great for me. I decided to go with the "Brewed for You" set which coordinate with the "Brewed Dies".

So we grew up in Wisconsin, where beer is definitely a 'thing' :) Most of my family drinks some beer - and I personally love a good beer - especially a wonderful IPA. So I came up with this card -

How fun is that!! I love the new SU! colors for the beer - I used Pecan Pie and Wild Wheat. This is an envelope fold card - and here is the inside -

What a fun and easy fold and if you'd like full measurements and details on how to make this card, I featured another version of this on my FB Live recently - here is the link if you are interested -- CLICK HERE My gems are the SU! rhinestones just colored with the Bronze blend to get that color tone. Really worked great on this card.

·       Tools: Deckled Rectangles Dies (159173); Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder (156545); Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Die Cutting Machine (149653); Paper Snips (103579)

·       Miscellaneous: Stampin’ Blends Pecan Pie Combo Pack (161674); Stampin’ Blends Granny Apple Green Combo Pack (154885); Stampin’ Blends Sweet Sorbet  Combo Pack (159224); Stampin’ Blends Gray Granite Combo Pack (154886); Rhinestone Basic Jewels (144220); Bakers Twine Essentials Pack (155475); Stampin' Seal (152813), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430)

 Measurements:

 ·       Granny Apple Green Cardstock: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"

·       Crumb Cake Cardstock: 4” x 5 1/4"

 Instructions:

 1.    Take the Crumb Cake layer and use the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder to emboss it – adhere to the card base

2.    Wrap around Crumb Cake Twine and finish with a bow on the left side

3.    Stamp two trees and use a die from Deckled Rectangles Dies to cut out the panel

4.    Use Stampin’ Blends to color the trees

5.    Stamp the watering can and use Stampin’ Blends to color it in – cut out with Paper Snips and use a Stampin’ Dimensional to adhere in front of the big tree

6.    Stamp the sentiment and use another die from Deckled Rectangles to cut it out – adhere using Stampin’ Dimensionals

7.    Color three Rhinestone Basic Jewels with a Dark Granny Apple Green Blends marker and leave to dry – when dry, add to the card

·       Card Stock and Paper: Copper Clay (161721), Boho Blue (161724), Vellum (101856), Basic White (159276), Fresh as a Daisy 12” x 12” Designer Series Paper “DSP” (161289)

·       Stamp Pads: Copper Clay (161647), Boho Blue (161650)

·       Tools: Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (149653); Bone Folder (102300); Paper Snips (103579)

·       Miscellaneous: Cheerful Daisies Dies (161296) or discounted as a bundle (161297); Stylish Shapes Dies (159183), Linen Thread (104199), 2023-2025 In Color Dots (161620); Multipurpose Liquid Glue or “glue” (110755); Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430), Mini Glue Dots (103683), household tape

 Measurements:

·       Copper Clay card base: 5-1/2” x 8-1/2”, scored at 4-1/4” and burnished with the Bone Folder; scraps

·       Boho Blue: 4” x 5-1/4”, 3” x 3”

·       Designer Series Paper: 3-3/4” x 5”

·       Basic White: 1-1/2” x 3”, scraps

·       Thread: 24”

 Instructions:

1.    Adhere DSP to Boho Blue and then that piece to card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

2.    Die cut two leaves out of Basic White and two branch sprays in Copper Clay.

3.    Die cut circle from Vellum.

4.    With Boho Blue ink, stamp daisy outline onto Boho Blue cardstock. With same ink, stamp off once with the inside of the flower aligning inside the previously stamped outline. Die cut daisy.

5.    Stamp center of daisy with Copper Clay ink onto same color cardstock.

6.    Stamp sentiment with Copper Clay onto Basic White and die cut.

7.    With dots of glue affix branches and leaves behind daisy. Secure with tape. Glue that piece to vellum circle then glue sentiment onto lower right of daisy.

8.    With Stampin’ Dimensionals behind vellum and sentiment, affix to card front.

9.    Double thread and tie a bow, trim ends with Paper Snips, and affix to front with Mini Glue Dot.

10. Sprinkle three Boho Blue Dots on card front.
