Merriest Christmas wishes -

So I guess I need to share a bit more Christmas - before it's over lol!  This is one of the cards from my November Christmas Cards class.  This is always a popular class - and I hold one a month all year, except December.  So my first one for 2018 will be in January - really!
We used some great products from the Holiday catalog - which, by the way ends on January 2 - so be sure to go to my website HERE and hit the SHOP NOW section to check it out before everything is gone.  We currently have many products on sale for the year end clearance.  The verse is from Watercolor Christmas which really became my go to set this year, because of the wonderful bold verses.  The amazing Leaf Punch and the plaid background is from our Christmas Around the World DSP.  The bow is our 1/8" Real Red ribbon.
We also used some items from the annual catalog including the Big Shot and layering Ovals framelits. These cards were quick and easy and really pack a punch!  Also - they seem perfect if you need that masculine touch.  Hope you like them - feel free to leave a comment.  You also have a few more days to comment on my December 14th POST for a chance to win a WaterColor Christmas card kit - so check it out!  See you soon!  ~Maureen

Cards and Coffee - card #1

Today I'm still in a non-Christmas mood - just need a break.  I love this time of year - but I have been shopping, wrapping, stamping, writing, cooking, baking - and well, I'm sure you know.  So I'm sharing a card from my November Cards and Coffee class.  It has such a fresh and springy feel to it.  We used the Count My Blessings set from the Holiday catalog - and took it from Fall to Spring by changing up the colors a bit.  The leaves are from the Whole Lot of Lovely DSP.  I have to admit - it is hard for me to choose just one side of this paper - it is all sooooo beautiful.
The layout is very simple layers with a pop of color and ombre ribbon.  The flowers were colored with watercolor pencils and blender pens.
Then to really make it come alive we added Wink of Stella to the blossoms - who doesn't like a little sparkle!
You all know I despise naked envelopes - so adding a few black and white flower images just finished it all beautifully.  Hope you like it!  If so please leave a comment.  See you soon.  Always Stamping - Maureen

Happy Card - Happy Day!

So it's almost Christmas - but that doesn't mean Birthdays stop - right!  So ... I love this color combo - Daffodil Delight, Basic Basic Black and Smoky Slate - how elegant is that.  This is pretty much of a case from a card I saw on Pinterest; and we made it at my October Cards class - that focused on birthdays.  It has some fun elements with the Yellow ribbon, and the gray gingham ribbon - as well as the black gems for accents.  Yellow is my favorite color - and this card speaks to me.
It uses several elements from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous set on pg 77 of the 2017-18 Annual catalog.  I also love the way we layered the "Happy Birthday" sentiment, by stamping it and punching it out with the new Pretty Label punch, then punching a layer of black, cutting it in half horizontally and adding it to the back of the of the top layer to give it a border.  Then popping that entire thing up on dimensionals.
Besides the envelope - we added a little cluster of flowers to the inside of the card also to give it a fun finish.   Happy card - for a happy day!  ~Maureen

Stampin Friends December New Year Hop!

Lots of lovin' on this beautiful Suite of products from the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog - Year of Cheer!  I am so sad it is all retiring - but I stocked up a bit to use for my New Year's celebration.  So first my card - I love the Specialty Year of Cheer DSP - it is heavier like cardstock - and only one sided - so perfect for using as a card base as the inside is plain.
Then I punched stars and circles out of our Gold and Champagne foil sheets - as well as snowflakes out of a different pattern in the DSP to layer and give that festive and fun look below!
I also added some of the fun small black sequin and gold sequin strips tied on the side.  They lay nice and flat - even at the knot - so will mail well.  And to me they seemed to mimic the sprays of fireworks.
Then - for everyone coming over - I am making up these adorable diaper fold treat holders to match.  Each uses the same elements as the card - and holds a yummy caramel Ghiradelli chocolate.  I plan to put each person's name on a little tag and attach it.
And since I was in the creative mood - I made up this little wine tag below to attach to a bottle of wine that we'll be taking this weekend to a friend's house.  It will be the perfect little hostess gift.  Here I have it on cider - but it would work on any wine bottle also.
Here it is from a little different angle -  so you can better see I added a couple gems to give it some extra sparkle.  These wine tags are so simple - but add so much - after all, presentation is everything!
Hope you enjoyed these projects, and can use some of it for inspiration for your New Year's celebration.
