So here is my third and final posted sample for this month's kit - it is made with components of the kit (plus black ink and a clear block) - and a little extra.  It features SU's Petite Cafe Gift Bags (LOVE THEM) and they are just the right size to load up with goodies for your very favorite trick or treaters.  Maybe some homemade cookies - or some spiced cider mix!?!
These bags are food safe and measure 3.5"x2.5"x8" - so they are a very nice size.  They feature built in tabs in the top channel that you can roll down and secure your bag shut with.
I hope you can see in the picture above and the one below that the bag is stamped with the bats, then a banner is layered Tangerine on Black with the saying, and then the moon is punched, sponged and raised up on dimensionals.  I've added the two-tone trim by sliding it into the bag as I folded it down, and tying in a knot.  You can leave it corded, or separate the strands as I did (they remind me of that long witches hair).
This final picture shows how I stamped the bat once directly on the moon, then stamped again on Whisper White CS, fussy cut it out, curved the wings with a bone folder and adhered it with a dimensional.  You can see the shadow that it makes on the moon because it's raised up - reminds me of BATMAN!
Remember to sign up and pay by the 15th so you can get your own kit to play with the end of the month.  Plus subscribers will get 6 additional, exclusive project ideas sent to them by PDF when their kit ships.  Let me know if you have any questions by dropping me an email at crazystampinglady@gmail.com

Zentangle Demonstration by Diane

At the downline meeting Diane Belcher shared what she learned, and has done with the Zentangling technique.  She brought this great display board and some books to share with the group.
Here she is describing the technique and talking about some of the best pens to use -
A close up of her starting a Zentangled image - part of what she shared is what a relaxing technique this is for her - maybe a good one for all of us to try.
Some of her samples -

Thank you Diane for a great demonstration of a technique I would venture few, if any, of us have tried.  See you all soon!!  ~Maureen

Downline Meeting Share Table

At our quarterly downline meetings we always have a share table where demonstrators can put out samples from classes, our personal to share with the group.  Wanted to share a few things that were shared at the last meeting.  I've given credit to who shared below the picture - but please forgive me (and let me know) if I put the wrong person.  I think in the future I'll put out little tags for them to put their names out, in case I can't confirm.  But I always love what they bring to share -
Boxes made by Karen Olson to show some of the sizes.

This final sample was made by 4 year old Amelia - daughter of Sarah Neill - Amelia aspires to be a Stampin' Up! demonstrator - and from the looks of things she's gonna be very successful.
Stop back soon to see more of what did at our meeting - samples, demonstrations, projects. ~Maureen

PERSONAL POST WARNING!

I just try and let you know - in case you could care less - but these personal posts help you to know a little about me and my family and I treasure them.  This one is all about my granddaughter Kamili's 8th birthday party.  It was a SPA party theme. This "treat" bar welcomed everyone.
And here is how the table was set for the 10 little girls in attendance.

Each girl was treated to a facial, a manicure, a pedicure and makeup.
My 6 year old granddaughter, Makai!
The also got to eat and -
decorate their own spa shoes.
Heidi had these adorable little make-up cookies made for the girls.

Here's the lovely birthday girl - after her full Spa treatment - getting ready to blow out her candle on top of a fluffy pink frosted with sprinkles donut!
Finally each girl got to take home one of these adorable little spa pails filled with all kinds of pampering goodies.
It was such a fun day spent celebrating a very special little girl.  We love you Kamili!  ~Gramma

August Christmas Card 2

Okay - I still LOVE the new Holiday mini catalog.  Here is the 2nd card we made at our August Christmas Card stamp camp.  It uses the New Festival of Trees stamp set and the New Tree Punch ( you can get these two items together in a bundle and SAVE 15%.)  Check out the Holiday catalog HERE.
This card started out as a CASE of a card I saw featuring three trees with one of them punched from the Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper and the heart added.  I really liked it, but when I went to find it again - no luck.  So I came up with the rest myself - all I could remember were those trees.

Her is a close up and you can see the glimmer tree is popped up on dimensionals.  It gives the card such a nice touch.  Really like how it turned out.

Don't miss my next Christmas Card Stamp Camp on Sunday, September 28 - after all Christmas is right around the corner!  ~Maureen
