Yesterday was my SU Retirement Party

This was added later - just wanted you to see how great the bookmark we made works on my book - nice huh!!

No - not me - I'm not retiring, but a BUNCH of sets are. So each year at this time I do an Open House and invite customers to come browse through and purchase retired sets, papers, ribbons, wheels, etc. I don't sell anything that is going away in July of this year. Everything I sell was retired already last July. Just makes it less confusing to me. So besides some refreshments, we also do several FREE make and takes - just for FUN!! Here's the first one we did - a 3"x3" gift card using the new flower punch from our mini catalog, and the sentiment is from a retiring set. The second project was this Patriotic Pennant using our retiring Pennant die - And the third was this corner page book mark. I saw how to make these on Splitcoast Stampers and love them because they fit snuggly over the corner of the page you are on, and the don't stick outside the book. I used the retiring Sense of Time set - and I love the sayings. This is the front - "An unhurried sense of time is in itself a form of wealth." How true is that!

The back says "Learn from yesterday, Live for today, Hope for tomorrow." Words to live by!The day was lots of fun and a success as I sold a lot of retired product to make way for the new. But still have lots to sell. Ebay here I come :) Hope everyone had a good time!

Stampin’ Up! RETIREMENT Open House

It’s that time of year again – can you believe it – the time when Stampin’ Up! announces what sets and accessories will be retired in the new catalog that begins in July. So once again Heidi and I are hosting our annual Retirement Open House. Retirement Party Part II

So the 3rd project we made was this cute little tree card - the trunk was hand cut and the circles were punched in different sizes out of DSP and layered up. So bright and cheery. And the final project we made was this adorable little ice cream cone gift card holder. The gift card goes inside and the belly band goes around to keep it closed. Perfect for a Baskin-Robbins - or Ben and Jerry's gift card - what do you think?

Rertirement Open House

Last Saturday Heidi and I hosted a Retirement Open House - Here is the table where we showed a lot of our new product from the current mini and the upcoming Idea Book and Catalog. Plus a few card samples.There was a lot of food; several make and takes and a ton of retired product from previous years for sales. One of the make and takes was this cute little pouch. We made ours out of 6x6" peices which made it just adorable - easy peasy - no adhesive needed for the pouch, it just stays together - and then they could add a flower to dress it up and filled it with candy!They also made this little strip of the new in-colors coming July 1st! It's a cute little reference tool for them. Any customer who orders the assortment package of any of our color groups beginning July 1st will get a reference strip like this in their order for the color group they ordered. They are a handy little tool to have on your desk when you are looking for a certain color or combo for your project.

It’s that time of year again and over 100 of the current stamp sets along with many, many of the current Stampin’ Up! colors are going away. Come join us as we pay homage to those leaving and celebrate the new sets that will be coming in the new catalog, along with the new COLOR RENOVATION!!

This is an Open House – but you’ll want to try and be here for as much as possible. We’ll have a HUGE sale of retired stamp sets and products (including our going away colors). Wonderful door prizes.* Some great make and takes; and introductions to new sets and colors. A couple of stamping demonstrations. Terrific refreshments. Plus special sign-ups, sales and incentives for purchasing, joining a stamp club, hostessing an upcoming workshop or even joining my downline team as a CRAZY STAMPING LADY!!

This is a STAMPING day you won’t want to miss – so grab a friend or two and plan to join us.
