Prize #5 - a set of Stampin' Up! Mini Dimensionals. Used in today's project -
~*~*~*~*~
Looking for a quick and bright card  you can still make and get out for the holidays?  Well look no further - I just LOVE this adorable fun fold card made with the "Making Christmas Bright" stamp set and Christmas Bulb Builder Punch from page 7 of the Holiday Catalog.  Fortunately these are both on the Carry Over list, so will be available for purchase till at least when the Annual Catalog is released.
I used Real Red and Call Me Clover Cardstock - and the All Is Bright DSP which is on the Year End Clearance - and when it's gone - it's gone!  To make this card I cut the front part of the base in 1/2 - then added a smaller focal point of the layered bulbs.
You can see how the card is layered better in the picture below.  Each of the large bulbs were stamped, punched, layered and then popped up on our mini-dimensionals which are perfect for smaller items you want to pop up.  After I figured out where I was going to place the bulb, but before adhering, I sponged a circle of the matching ink to look like the glow of the bulb.  The mini dimensionsals were great, as they fit perfectly behind the top of the bulbs. And of course I stamped the envelope to match.

Here is the card when it is open.  The focal layer nearly covers all of the white giving you plenty of room to have a sentiment and still write your wishes.  Hope you liked it - sure to brighten someone's day!

If you are interested in any of these items you can place an order at www.stampingwithmaureen.stampinup.net and click on SHOP NOW.  Be sure to check out all the new items on the Clearance Rack - as well as the Year-End Clearance while you are there.

12 Days of Christmas Posts and Giveaways!!! 1st Day of Christmas

That's right - 12 days of creative posts and several giveaways - be sure to join me today and for the next 11 days as we work our way up to Christmas!  Make sure you subscribe to my blog, comment and share my posts on Facebook (be sure to tag me at @Maureen Rauchfuss), for chances to win some fun products!  ~Maureen

PRIZE #1 - A spool of 50 yards of Gold Metallic Thread.  You can see how I used it on the sample below.  It adds just a simple little layer of glimmer to each project.  NOTE: all blog subscriptions, comments and shares on Facebook will be entered into drawings for all the prizes I am giving away.  I will draw for winners the day after Christmas - so be sure to check back to see if you have won a prize!
 ~*~*~*~*~
So I wanted to start my 12 day series with this beautiful card - mostly because of the awesome sentiment on the front of the card - "friends make the season shine" - I just love this.  What a reminder of what is so important during this time of the year - friends, family, love, caring!  Feeling so blessed.  This card is made with a super fun suite from SU's Holiday Catalog - Making Christmas Bright.
It has a Cherry Cobbler Base and the green layers are Shaded Spruce.  I especially love the Gold Foil strips (this paper is in SU's Annual Catalog) and I'm not sure if you can see it well - but I have some of that fun Gold Metallic thread from the Annual Catalog peeking out from behind my raised sentiment.  This is a clean and simple card - the focal point is that beautiful strip of DSP from the "All is Bright" DSP collection; and of course that wonderful sentiment. You can see I also stamped it on the envelope as I am NOT a fan of naked envelopes.  NOTE: The DSP is on the year-end closeout for retiring items, while supplies last - so if you love it like I do -  be sure to go to www.stampingwithmaureen.stampinup.net and click SHOP NOW to order yours before it's gone for good!
Here is the inside of the card - all stamps from that same Making Christmas Bright stamp set.  Stamped with Shaded Spruce, and the stars with Daffodil Delight.
