Share it Sunday! Free tutorial - Sending Smiles and Cottage Rose!

 

It's Sunday - and time to share another great card and free tutorial! Today I'm focusing on two sets from the Annual catalog, that I have recently shared on my Facebook Lives on Facebook.com/crazystampinglady.  They go together perfectly to make a lovely card.  Plus don't forget Cottage Rose is my Bundle of the month - full details at bottom of this post.   Hope you like it!  Enjoy!

Sending Smiles/Cottage Rose

·       Stamp Sets: Sending Smiles (158701); Cottage Rose (159040);

·       Card Stock and Paper: Basic White (159231); Early Espresso (119686); Mossy Meadow (133676); Crumb Cake (120953)

·       Stamp Pads: Old Olive (100702); Soft Suede (147115); Early Espresso (147114),

·       Tools: Cottage Flowers Dies (159047); Sending Dies (159271); Fabulous Frames dies (159163); Bone Folder (102300); Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (149653); Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755)

·       Miscellaneous: Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430); Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (144108); Rustic Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots (159082); Tear and Tape Adhesive (154031); Foam Adhesive Sheets (152815); Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends Combo 154892; Pale Papaya Stampin’ Blends (155519); Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends Combo (154884); Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Combo (154892); Pear Pizazz Stampin’ Blends Combo ; Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends Combo (154890)

 Measurements:

 ·       Mossy Meadow: 8 ½ X 5 ½ scored at 4 1/4 and burnished with the Bone Folder,

·       ¼ sheet crumb cake for frame

·       3 X 5 piece of Early Espresso cardstock & 3 X 5 piece of double-sided adhesive foam

·       ½ sheet of Basic White

·       3 X 5 sheet of Petal Pink for sentiment backer

 Instructions:

 1.    Die cut the largest Fabulous Frames die in both Basic White and Crumb Cake.

2.    Stamp the large Cottage Rose image in Soft Suede on Basic White and die cut.  Color with Stampin’ Blends.

3.    Stamp the leaf pattern in Old Olive on the center frame.

4.    Stamp sentiment strip in Early Espresso and die cut with longer die strip. Die cut “Sending” sentiment in Early Espresso and double-sided adhesive foam.  Die cut the “Sending” sentiment backer in petal pink.

5.    Attach the Foam “Sending” to the petal pink backer. Carefully attach the “Sending” sentiment to the front of the adhesive foam.

6.    Adhere Crumb Cake frame with tear strips. Adhere stamped basic white rectangle inside the frame.  Adhere Cottage Rose image to the top right of the card as shown with tear tape. 

7.    Adhere “Sending” sentiment with tear strips as shown.

8.    Adhere sentiment message over the “g” with mini stampin’ dimensionals.

9.    Place Rustic Metallic Adhesive Dots on the card front.

True Beauty Card

·       Tools: Stylish Shapes Dies (159183); Fern 3D Embossing Folder (158804); Sponge Daubers (133773)

 Measurements:

 ·       Merry Merlot CS: 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”

·       Basic White CS: 5” x 3 3/4”, scraps

·       Blushin Bride CS: 3/4” x 3”

·       Awash in Beauty DSP: 3 different patterns 1 1/2” x 3”

·       Parakeet Party Ribbon: 10”

 Instructions:

 1.    Fold card base in half using bone folder

2.    Emboss the Basic White CS with the Fern 3D embossing folder and glue it to the card front

3.    Glue the DSP in different angles

4.    Stamp the sentiment with Early Espresso ink onto the Blushing Bride CS and cut the ends in an angle

5.    Stamp the largest flower in Calypso Coral onto Basic White CS

6.    Ink the smaller flower with Polished Pink and tap with a dauber a little Merry Merlot ink and stamp it onto the Basic White

7.    Stamp the leaves in Granny Apple Green ink onto Basic White CS

8.    Die cut a circle with the Stylish shapes dies and the flowers using the dies in the True beauty bundle

9.    Glue the circle onto the card front and then the flowers, leaves and sentiment using dimensionals

10. Make a bow with the ribbon and glue it onto the card front using glue dots

11. Add the pearls randomly onto the card front

 

• Early Espresso cardstock: 8 ½” x 5 ½” (score at 4 ¼”)

Basic White cardstock: 3 ¾” x 5”; scrap for die cutting

• Tahitian Tide cardstock: ¾” x 4 ¾”

• He’s The Man DSP (Sahara Sand pattern):  2 ¾” x 4 ¾”

• Early Espresso Faux Suede Trim: approx. 8”

Instructions:

1. Fold the Early Espresso cardstock in half to create the card base.

2. On the Basic White piece, glue the Piece of He’s The Man DSP on the left and the strip of Tahitian Tide cardstock on the right.

3. Glue the Early Espresso Faux Suede trim over the “seam” where the two papers meet and stick the ends on the back of the white piece. Glue the Basic White piece onto the Early Espresso card base.

4. On a scrap of Basic White, stamp the van image with Early Espresso ink and die cut it out with the wavy circle die from the All That dies.

5. Colour the bottom part of the van with Tahitian Tide Stampin’ Blends and the top (around the windows) with a light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends marker.

6. Stick the circle over the trim at the bottom right of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

7. Finish off the card with three Rustic Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots (two to the top left of the circle and one to the bottom right).
