Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. Fellow demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia are participating. We have a wide array of fun projects and design styles to share with you!
~*~*~*~*~
Our theme this month is Thinking of you Girls! So I chose to use the Under My Umbrella Bundle in my creation. What an adorable set - It just SINGS spring to me!

My images from the set (the umbrella, boots and flower clusters) were all colored with Stampin' Up! blends. They are absolutely the best coloring tool around.

The card itself is a fun-fold - a non-typical tri-fold. I used the blue strip to anchor my images to the front of the card. Typically this piece is covered on the inside of the card with a large area to write on, but I wanted mine to show to add some character to the inside of the card.

I then put a layer of the beautiful Bird Ballad DSP to the front of the card, and added a Daffodil Delight scallop oval and a Whisper White Oval to the part of the blue strip that folds over from the right of the card onto the front.

Here it is with that strip and the decorative oval open to the right, so you can just see the DSP.

Here is the strip on the inside - I decorated it with a strip of the DSP; and fussy cut out one of the little flowers from the DSP for up in the corner.

Finally I stamped a couple of the little flower clusters on the front of the envelope and colored them with blends to match. The great things about blends on the envelope is that they will not bleed if they get wet; but be sure when you are coloring to insert a piece of scrap paper inside the envelope as they will bleed through while coloring.

I think you can also see from this angle, that I did curve the umbrella with my bone folder and the adhered it with dimensionals to give it a little more dimension on the card. As I said - the set is just adorable! Hope you liked it too - did it make you smile? Now click the names below to hop on through the other blogs in the line-up. If possible - leave me a comment - I would love to know what you think of my Umbrella Card! ~Maureen
