For my project I couldn't resist using my very favorite new product bundle - the Layers of Beauty - it's name says it all!

#163519 Layers of Beauty Bundle $56.50*

This bundle not only includes the stamp set and dies - but amazing masks that you can use to color your flowers. So easy - so fun - so beautiful.

I started with the image on the left that was colored using the masks and blender brushes (the one on the right I am coloring with Stampin' Blends).  Using my Deckled Circles dies - I cut out a flower focal point with the 4th from the smallest, and then a circle out of black with the next larger size.  Layering the flower on the black and popping up on dimensionals - this really sets off the focal point.

The sentiment is from the set and cut out using the little tag die from the die set - I then layered that piece on black also, and fussy cut around it to form a black border.  

This stamp is just so elegant looking on it's own - I used it with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on the inside of the card -

and my envelope -

 To get my colored twine - I used the current Baker's Twine Essentials Pack and colored the White twine with the Cherry Cobbler Blends -

Added a sprinkling of Basic Rhinestone gems to finish this beauty!

It's Sunday - and time to share another great card and free tutorial!  I love butterflies - and the simplicity of the card is so my style.  Clean and beautiful.   I hope you like it as much as I do!

·       Stamp Sets: Country Flowers Set (163405) (Bundle is (163411)

·       Card Stock and Paper: Basic White CS (159276); Basic Black CS (121045); Petal Pink CS (146958); Old Olive CS (100702); Country Lace DSP (163415); Country Woods DSP (163393)

·       Stamp Pads: Tuxedo Black Memento Ink (132708)

·       Tools: Country Flowers Dies (163410)

·       Miscellaneous: Rhinestone Basic Jewels (144220); Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430); Stampin’ Seal Adhesive (152813); Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755); Linen Thread (104199); Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder (163414)

 Measurements:

·       Basic White CS base: 4 ¼” x 11” scored at 4 ½”, 5 ½” on long side; 3 ¾” x 3 ¾”; ½” x 3 ¾”

·       Basic Black CS: 4” x 4”; ¾” x 4”

·       Old Olive and Petal Pink CS scraps for leaves and flowers

·       Country Lace DSP: 1 ¼” x 3 ¾”

·       Country Woods DSP: 2” x 2” to die cut jug

·       Linen Thread: 15”

 

Instructions:

 

1.    Score base on score lines; this card opens from the right, and has the 1” scored section to the left when base is closed. 

2.    Run the small Basic White strip through the Cut & Emboss Machine with the Eyelet 3D EF.

3.    Glue the two Basic Black pieces to the appropriate front section of card.  Then adhere the two Basic White pieces to the appropriate front section of the card.

4.    Using Memento Black ink stamp your sentiment in the upper right corner of the Basic White square.  Adhere the strip of Country Lace DSP to the bottom of this square as shown.

5.    Tie the linen thread around the front panel of the card in the 1” scored section and tie a bow; then adhere the 1” front section to the inside of the card to form a book type opening.

6.    Die cut your jug, leaves and flowers from the appropriate paper – 1 large leaf cluster, 1 small leaf pair and 1 single leaf from Old Olive CS; 2 flowers (1small, 1 large) from the Petal Pink CS; and the jug from the piece of Country Woods DSP.

7.    Adhere the jug and the large cluster of leaves to the card front as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Adhere the flowers and the smaller leaves as shown with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Place a small Rhinestone Basic Jewel in the center of each flower.

Share it Sunday! Free tutorial - Sketched Butterfly

 

It's Sunday - and time to share another great card and free tutorial!  I love butterflies - and the simplicity of the card is so my style.  Clean and beautiful.   I hope you like it as much as I do!

Petunia Pop Sketched Butterflies

·       Stamp Sets:  Sketched Butterflies (163490), also available as a bundle (163492)

·       Card Stock and Paper: Basic White cardstock (159276); Basic Gray cardstock (121044); Petunia Pop cardstock (163801)

·       Stamp Pads & Ink:  Petunia Pop ink pad (163811); Basic Gray ink pad (149165); Smoky Slate Stampin’ Write Marker (Neutrals set-161697)

·       Tools:  Paper Trimmer (152392); Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (149653); Sketched Butterflies dies (163490), also available as a bundle (163492); Water Painters (151298)

·       Miscellaneous: Stampin’ Seal (152813); Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430); 2024-2026 In Color Shimmer Gems (163781); Wink of Stella (141897)

Measurements:

·       Petunia Pop: 8 ½” x 5 ½” (score at 4 ¼”)

·       Basic Gray:  3 ⅞” x 5 ⅛” (mat)

·       Basic White:  3 ¾” x 5” (card layer)

·       Petunia Pop Shimmer Gems: 3

Instructions:

1.     Fold the Petunia Pop cardstock in half to create the card base.

2.     On the Basic White card layer, stamp the largest butterfly from the Sketched Butterflies set, with Petunia Pop ink. Die cut it out with the coordinating die from the Sketched Butterflies dies.

3.     With a Water Painter, lightly go over the butterfly to blend the ink a bit and fill in the wings with a bit of colour.  When it’s dry, go over the wings with Wink of Stella.

4.     Below where the butterfly was die cut, stamp a sentiment with Basic Gray ink.

5.     Using a Smoky Slate Stampin’ Write Marker, flick the brush tip against the inside of the lid to create a splatter effect all over the white layer.

6.     Glue the white layer to the gray layer and then onto the Petunia Pop card base.

7.     Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to stick the butterfly in the spot where it was die cut from (this will create a shadow effect and you will be able to see the gray layer when you look from the side).

8.     Embellish the card with three Petunia Pop Shimmer Gems. Place 2 to the bottom right of the sentiment and one to the top left of the butterfly.

Attention Shoppers June Class projects!

My June Paid classes were all about the Attention Shoppers bundle from the current Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog.

#163644 Attention Shoppers bundle $39.50

We made three fun projects shown -

Our first card used  the Layering Florals 3D embossing folder to add a ton of depth.  It featured a sentiment from the Online Exclusive Irresistible Blooms, a strip of Peach Pie DSP, and that adorable little bouquet with a few gems and a linen thread bow.

Card number two was a fun gatefold card in a Bubble Bath Cardstock and Bright & Beautiful DSP patterns.  Sentiment is from the Attention Shoppers set - as well as the adorable little gift bags.  We used assorted Rainbow Adhesive dots for our embellishment.

And our final project was the fun slider gift card holder featuring another sentiment from the Attentions Shoppers set, the Frames & Flowers DSP, Petal Pink & White 1/4" Diagonal Trim, Petal Pink/Pretty Peacock Foiled gems - and that sweet little potted plant.

Such a fun class - and every attendee always receives a little bonus gift from me.

July's classes will feature the new Changing Leaves hybrid bundle - available as an online exclusive beginning July 3, 2024.  So watch for that!
