It is starting to warm up and feel like Spring here in Tennessee and that means we are planning our gardens - so this set was so timely.  I love gardening and herbs and had so much fun playing!  As soon as I saw the individual herbs - I thought about how I dry them to preserve for future use; and just flipped them around to create this first alternative sample -
I used a layer cut from one of the card bases; as well as a Basic White CS layer - and to make the tops of these pop, I stenciled a little blue using the circles from the negative portion of the punch outs.  Added my little linen thread bows and I truly love how it turned out.
But, I couldn't stop there - next I used a super simple layout with strips from two of the card bases - a layer of Tranquil Tide and a layer of Basic Beige on a Basic White base.  The strips were layered all catty-wampus and then my focal point and sentiment were added.
And if you are wondering where I got those beautiful blue gems - well they are just our Basic Rhinestone gems colored with a Tranquil Tide blend - and they match perfectly.
Then I did one more this with this kit - each year when we plan our garden I print little cards where we keep our seed info.  And I store these in a plastic container that I purchased online.  But this year - I decided to add the chives stamped onto the cards just to make them more fun.
Here is the seed packet - I've listed above - so you can see what I mean.
If you'd like to print these out for your own used (four up on a sheet) - you can download them HERE as a word document.

I hope you've enjoyed these alternative ideas.  Now be sure to hop through the rest to get some more great inspiration.  Don't forget to leave a comment, as we'd love to hear what you think.
