Paper Pumpkin Possibilities - Painted Petals July 2024

 

Welcome to our Paper Pumpkin Possibilities blog hop!  I am so excited to have joined this team of hoppers sharing alternative designs for each month's Paper Pumpkin kit.  This is such a great month to start - as the kit is nothing short of AMAZING!!  Hopefully what we show will inspire you.  Be sure to hop all the way through to see what this amazing team has come up with!

So - this kit was so beautiful on it's own - that really no alternatives were needed - but I decided to bring in my favorite new InColor, Summer Splash.  I used the Daisy diecut piece from the kit and added it to a card front with a strip of the Summer Splash Glimmer paper 2 3/4" x 5 1/2" that was popped up on dimensionals.  I like the way it shows off a different color scheme from the original kit.

I added a strip of Unbounded Beauty DSP - 1/2" x 5 1/2" on each side leaving white showing between each section.  Then finished it off with a sentiment from the kit on a 7/8" x 2 3/8" strip.  A final little bit of bling was added with 3 of the orange tinted sequins from the Adhesive-Backed Shiny Sequins pack.

Then (because I couldn't stop playing) I also took the adorable stamp set in the kit and made this set of 3x3" notes, perfect to add to any small gift you are giving - the colors of blends I used for coloring are Cajun Craze, Highland Heather and Poppy Parade. The add-on dies from this quarter's add-on die option, cut the flower out and made it quick and easy for these to come together.  I popped those flowers up on a stamped layer using dimensionals, and added a bit of twine colored with the same blends and tied in a bow - and voila!

 Measurements:

·       Summer Splash: 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” scored at 4-1/4”, folded then burnished with the Bone Folder (card base)

·       Summer Splash: 3-1/2” x 4-3/4” (card front piece)

·       Basic White: 2-1/2” x 3”

·       Basic Black: 1/2” x 2”

 Instructions:

1.    Die cut heart shape from the center of the Basic White cardstock; save ALL pieces.

2.    Center the die cut piece towards the top of the smaller Summer Splash card front piece. The die cut heart is your template for the purposes of placement of the negative pieces.

3.    Placed the negative pieces back into the template, then glue each one into place and remove template.

4.    Stamp sentiment using Versamark onto the Basic Black cardstock and heat emboss using white embossing powder, then trim to size.

5.    Attach sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

6.    Attach Iridescent Faceted Gems to the card front piece.

7.    Tie a bow using the white bakers twine and attach to card using a Mini Glue Dot.

8.    Attach card front piece to the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Simple Sketch #16 Challenge - July 2024

 

Join me for some FUN! Each month (almost) I will be doing a new sketch challenge around the last week to 10 days of the month.

A Monthly Sketch Challenge!

Here is the sketch! Use it as your inspiration - your card should contain all the layers, but you can take some liberty with them. Add any embellishments you wish.

You might recognize this from my FB Live Video 7/23/2024 - here is the card I created -

 Just use the sketch and have fun.  The rest is up to you - just try and have similar layers!  Feel free to even change the size of the card or the orientation.  The coloring on the sketch, is just to show the layers - use any colors you wish!!  Here's the sketch with the measurements I used -

 Measurements:

 ·       Peach Pie Card Stock: 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”

·       Granny Apple Green Card Stock: 5 ¼” x 4”

·       Basic White Card Stock: 5” x 3 ¾” (2) Scrap

 Instructions:

 1.    Stamp Birthday Pea onto a scrap of Basic White paper.  Color with Blends and Cut out with Paper Snips. Set Aside.

2.    Stamp HaPEA Birthday on the lower right corner of one of the pieces of Basic White with Granny Apple Green.  Stamp the smaller of the two leaves with Granny Apple Green stamped off next to the greeting.

3.    Pop up the Pea you cut out earlier with Stampin’ Dimensional.  Place on your card as shown and stamp the confetti in Peach Pie Ink so it looks like it is coming out of the blower.

4.    Fold your Peach Pie Card Stock in half to form a card base.  Adhere to the Granny Apply Green then the Basic White piece you just stamped.

5.    Add 3 of the green embellishments from the Transparent Adhesive-Backed Dots.

6.    Stamp the birthday Pea Pod on the inside piece of Basic White and color as desired with the Stampin’ Blends. Adhere to the inside of your card.

Paper Crafting Blog Hop July 2024 - Flowers Galore!

  

Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop for July 2024 - featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia. We have a wide array of projects and design styles to share with you this month - and every one of them is spotlighting projects made with a Flowers Galore theme!

For my project I couldn't resist using my very favorite new product bundle - the Layers of Beauty - it's name says it all!

#163519 Layers of Beauty Bundle $56.50*

This bundle not only includes the stamp set and dies - but amazing masks that you can use to color your flowers. So easy - so fun - so beautiful.

I started with the image on the left that was colored using the masks and blender brushes (the one on the right I am coloring with Stampin' Blends).  Using my Deckled Circles dies - I cut out a flower focal point with the 4th from the smallest, and then a circle out of black with the next larger size.  Layering the flower on the black and popping up on dimensionals - this really sets off the focal point.

The sentiment is from the set and cut out using the little tag die from the die set - I then layered that piece on black also, and fussy cut around it to form a black border.  

This stamp is just so elegant looking on it's own - I used it with Tuxedo Black Memento ink on the inside of the card -

and my envelope -

 To get my colored twine - I used the current Baker's Twine Essentials Pack and colored the White twine with the Cherry Cobbler Blends -

Added a sprinkling of Basic Rhinestone gems to finish this beauty!
