Share it Sunday! Free tutorial - Queen Bee

It's Sunday - and I'm getting back in the swing of things.  It's time to share another great card and free tutorial!  Today's card is a beautiful card to start the New Year - and feature some new products from the January mini.  Hope you like it!  Enjoy!

Queen Bee

Supplies:

 ·       Stamp Set: Queen Bee(159560); Bundle (160485)

·       Card Stock and Paper: Thick Basic White (159229); Basic White (159276); Basic Black (121045); Daffodil Delight (119683); Vellum  Cardstock (101856)

·       Stamp Pads: Tuxedo Black Memento Ink (132708)

·       Tools: Queen Bee Dies (160484); Layering Circle Dies (151770); Hive 3D Embossing Folder (157955); Bone Folder (102300)

·       Miscellaneous: Black & White ¼” Gingham Ribbon (156485); Basic Black Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack (154843); Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430); Multipurpose Liquid Glue (110755); Mini Glue Dots (103683)

Measurements:

 ·       Thick Basic White Cardstock: 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”, score at     4 ¼”

·       Basic White: 3 ¾” x 5”; 3 ¼” square – cut 2

·       Daffodil Delight:  3 ½” square; 1 ¼” x 3”

·       Vellum: 3 ½” x 1”

·       Ribbon: 12”

 Instructions:

 1.    Stamp the Queen Bee and the crown onto a 3 ¼” x 5” Basic White panel with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Die cut with coordinating dies.  Color Queen Bee with Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends.

2.    Die cut the large Scalloped Circle, 3 honey comb shapes and small heart with Daffodil Delight cardstock.   

3.    Use the second 3 ¼” Basic White panel to crop a large circle with the Layering Circle die. Emboss with the Hive 3D folder. Strike the brush tip of the Basic Black Blend with a Bone Folder to add flecks to the embossed circle. 

4.    Attach to the Daffodil Delight Scalloped Circle.  Attach Queen Bee and Crown using Stampin’ Dimensionals to the circle panel. 

5.    Use Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp onto the White Panel – use the splatter and texture stamps (stamp off) - refer to photo for placement. 

6.    Adhere the Basic Black panel to card front with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

7.    Wrap the Black & White Gingham Ribbon around the Basic White panel and tie a bow.  Attach panel to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. 

8.    Crop wings with Vellum cardstock and attach to Queen Bee with a Mini Glue Dot.

9.    Position heart on Queen Bee with a Mini Glue Dot.  Tuck Honey Combs around Scalloped Circles, using small drops of Multipurpose Liquid Glue to secure.
