Paper Crafting Blog Hop - Punches Theme - September 2020

Welcome to our Paper Crafting Blog Hop featuring talented Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. Fellow demonstrators from all over the globe including the USA, United Kingdom and Australia are participating. We have a wide array of fun projects and design styles to share with you this month - all spotlighting punches!

~*~*~*~*~

I love punches!  Don't get me wrong - dies are great - but sometimes I just want to do a quick card without hauling out the die cut machine - and punches do the trick!  My card today uses a couple of them -

I'm so happy we are having cooler weather and fall is in the air.  I have been doing so much with this bundle of products.  In fact my next blog post will feature it again.

Those coordinating punches are just the cutest things!  I also used the Detailed Trio punch - which has the perfect corner rounder.

So for my card I started with a Crumb Cake A2 base then a 4"x4" layer of Cajun Craze; a 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" layer of Very Vanilla and four 1 3/4" squares from the Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper.

I played with them a bit and laid them out in the pattern I wanted, then using the corner rounder, I rounded two opposite corners on each square.  You can see two rounded and two not here -

After finishing rounding and placing them I put my card together and added a couple sprigs of green, a sentiment, and two acorns all from the Beautiful Autumn set.  I even punched the acorns with that cute little acorn punch above.

These are the colors I used and the braided twine - all go so beautifully together and perfect for this time of year.  And of course I had to make the inside of the card pretty too!

Just love this card - will be making more for sure!

Love the way you have used the punches, particularly the squares with half corners rounded. And that lovely Designer Paper.

You're so right about dies being quicker than punches. Love your card design.
