Share it Sunday! Free tutorial - Fluffy Squirrel

 

Happy Sunday - hoping your weekend is going great. Time to share another great project and free tutorial! Couldn't resist sharing another adorable card with this little squirrel.  I hope you like this card as much as I do!

Fluffy Squirrel Card

 Supplies:

·       Stamp Set: Fluffy Squirrel Bundle (165819), Gathering Moments (165970)

·       Card Stock and Paper: Basic Beige (164511), Basic White (159276), Early Espresso (119686), Gathering Together DSP (165969)

·       Ink: Early Espresso (147114), Pecan Pie (161665), Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends (161674)

·       Tools: Bone Folder (102300), Paper Trimmer (152392), Paper Snips (103579)

·       Miscellaneous: Cajun Craze & Gold Dots (165984), Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430), Stampin’ Seal Adhesive (152813)

Measurements:

·       Basic Beige Cardstock:  5 ½” x 8 ½”

·       Gathering Together DSP:  4” x 5 ¼”; cut into 3 strips – 1”, 1 ½”, and 1 ½”, also 3 leaves and a ½” x 4” strip for inside the card.

·       Early Espresso Cardstock:  1 ¾” x 5 ¼”

·       Basic White Cardstock:  ¾” x 2 ¼”, 1 ¼” x 3”, 2 ¾” x 2 ¾”, and 4” x 5 ¼”

 Instructions:

 1.    Cut each piece listed in the measurements above.

2.    Score Basic Beige Cardstock at 4 ¼”; fold in half to form the card base.

3.    Adhere the Gathering Together DSP to the card front; place the 1” piece on the left, and one of the 1 ½” pieces on the right.

4.    Adhere the Early Espresso Cardstock strip to the card front between the two strip of DSP.

5.    Adhere the third piece of Gathering Together DSP to the top of the Early Espresso Cardstock.

6.    Stamp the sentiment onto the small Basic White Cardstock piece using Early Espresso ink then adhere to the top left corner of the card.

7.    Stamp the larger sentiment onto the medium Basic White Cardstock piece using Early Espresso ink then adhere it to the bottom left corner of the card.

8.    Stamp the outline of the squirrel image onto Basic White Cardstock square using Early Espresso ink then punch out the image using the Squirrel Punch.

9.    Stamp the body of the squirrel onto the punched out image using Pecan Pie ink.

10. Adhere the Squirrel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

11. Stamp the acorn onto the punched out piece using Early Espresso ink then color the image using Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends; adhere to the card front with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

12. Fussy cut three leaves from a scrap piece of Gathering Together DSP and adhere them to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

13. Embellish the card front with three Cajun Craze & Gold Dots.

14. Adhere the small strip of Gathering Together DSP to the bottom of the large Basic White Cardstock panel; adhere the panel to the inside of the card.

·       Stamp Pads: Early Espresso Ink (161665);

·       Tools: Amber Autumn Dies (165892); Stylish Shapes Dies (159183);  2” Circle Punch (133782)

 Measurements:

 ·       Basic Beige Card Stock: 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”

·       Early Espresso Card Stock: Scraps for leaf

·       Cajun Craze Card Stock: Scraps for leaf

·       Basic White Card Stock: Scrap for Greeting

·       Gold Foil: 2 1/2” x 2 1/2”

·       DSP: 5 1/2” x 2”, 1/4” x 5 1/2”

·       Linen Thread: 16”

 Instructions:

 1.    Score & burnish card base @ 4 1/4”

2.    Adhere 2” strip of DSP to center of card base

3.    Adhere 1/4” DSP strips along both sides of 2” DSP strip

4.    Die cut stylish shapes circle that fits a 2” circle

5.    Stamp greeting on Scrap Basic White CS with greeting to top of circle, punch out with 2” circle, adhere to Gold Foil die cut circle

6.    Die cut a Early Espresso & Cajun Craze leaf from Scrap Card Stock

7.    Adhere leaves to bottom of circle with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, inlay the the leaf vein to the opposite color

8.    Tie a double bow with 16” of Linen Thread, adhere with a Mini Glue Dot

9.    Embellish with Cajun Craze & Gold Dots

ICS Blog Hop - September 2025 - What's New!

 
Welcome to our Inspire - Create - Share Blog Hop for August 2025!  This month Stampin' Up! has released a ton of new products - from the new catalog - to new kits - to all of the great online exclusives.  For me - I decided to make an elegant Christmas card with some of my favs!

I just love how these three products came together to make the most beautiful Christmas card.  It was so very easy!

A simplet Basic White base, 4" x 5 1/4" layer of Old Olive embossed with the Peaceful Greenery 3D Embossing Folder, I fussy cut the flowers from the DSP, stamped the sentiment with Cherry Cobbler, and added 3 gems from the Low Profile Dots.
I just love how it turned out!

 Measurements:

 ·       Early Espresso:  8 ½” x 5 ½”

·       Darling Duckling:  5” x 3 ¾” (x2)

·       Pecan Pie:  4 ¼” x 4 ½”

·       DSP:  4 ¾” x 3 ½”

·       Very Vanilla:  2 ½” x 2 ½”; 1” scrap for greeting

·       Irregular Weave Trim:  4”

·       Linen Thread:  25”

 Instructions:

 1.    Fold the Early Espresso cardstock to create the card back.

2.    Adhere together the DSP and the Darling Duckling cardstock and adhere to the card front.

3.    Die cut the large leaf from the Pecan Pie cardstock.  Spritz it with some water or alcohol and scrunch the leaf into a small ball.  Carefully open the leaf and then slowly pull apart the layers of cardstock.  Using the inside of the piece (it will look and feel like suede), lightly tap the Crumb Cake ink pad over the top to highlight the creases in the leaf.  Adhere this to the front of the card.

4.    Stamp the outline of the squirrel with Early Espresso.  Stamp the inside of the squirrel with Crumb Cake and punch it out.

5.    Stamp the small acorn on Pecan Pie with Early Espresso and punch out.

6.    Stamp greeting with the More Messages stamp using Early Espresso, die cut with the More Messages die. 

7.    Adhere the Weave Trim to the front.  Twist the linen thread behind the squirrel and adhere it to the front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

8.    Adhere the acorn and greeting.

9.    Add some Streaked Dots.

10. Stamp the inside and envelope to match.
