SAB 2018 Beautiful Peacock Cards and FREE inspiration sheet
Hi all - so thankful that I have been able to do some stamping today. That may be all I get accomplished, but that is fine - I have not stamped in weeks. Believe me - these are sweet and simple - but wow - today they were work :) I'm still wiped out. I chose this set to focus on today as I wanted to have something bring a smile to my face and yours and this did it for me. Here's the set you can get FREE with a $50 purchase.
So I started by just picking a color palette to work with - in this case Fresh Fig, Crushed Curry, Lemon Lime Twist and Tranquil Tide. I stamped the Peacock three times using the same colors, but varying where the color placement was. Then cut three coordinating colored layers to go under them. Finally I stamped three identical card bases and three envelopes.
Each card is made the same way - card base, colored layer adhered with snail to base, stamped layer adhered with snail to colored layer and three gems added to the flowers on the tail.
I just love how they turned out - and they did bring a smile to my face. Especially every time I stamped one of those itty bitty yellow flowers - they are soooooo cute. They remind me of flowers I doodle in the 1970's days of Flower Power - lol. They are just so sweet and tiny!
So - that's them and here they are together -
And I'm started a new page on my BLOG - you can see it at the top FREE Inspiration Sheet Library. I've added instructions on today's card that you are free to use, copy, print, etc. As the year goes on I will add more instructions to the page on other projects. Enjoy! Let me know if you have any questions! See you soon. ~Maureen

Thoughtful Branches Bundle - available in August or while supplies last...
So yesterday I shared a beautiful foil Christmas card made with the "Thoughtful Branches" Bundle and today I want to share a few more ideas for this bundle. It is soooo versatile, and I've been having so much fun creating with it.
For a limited time, you can get the exclusive Thoughtful Branches bundle. You will be able to order the stamp, framelits or bundle between August 2 and 31 (while supplies last).
To order go to my online store at www.stampingwithmaureen.stampinup.net and enter the codes as follows -
So here are the cards I made for my recent class on this bundle - can you see the variety here? The pines, the lilacs the tree.....
This first Tree card is simple, and sweet, and you don't even need the framelits. The trees give it that masculine, woodsy look - it would be perfect for a guys birthday care - but also a sympathy card. The gems were colored with a green sharpie, before being added to the card, and I always love to add our linen thread to nature cards.
| Item # | Product Name | Retail |
|---|---|---|
| 144328 | Thoughtful Branches Bundle (ENG) | $52.00 USD |
| 143539 | Thoughtful Branches Photopolymer Stamp Set (ENG) | $27.00 USD |
| 143538 | Beautiful Branches Thinlits Dies | $31.00 USD |
Next is my Lilac card - I LOVE lilacs - we have one really established white bush here, and since moving have planted 3 more of the purple variety. Hoping to get a few flowers next summer off of those. This flower below is actually made with dotted image that can also be used the tall trees. I just switched up the colors and made flowers. The layers and the bling just bring it all together.
But the final Christmas Thank You card is my favorite. I've seen a lot of similar ones on blogs and Pinterest. To me the white on white with the pop of Cherry Cobbler is just so elegant. And the dots of snow behind the tree just make it! This glass was all about the bling and included a package of gems in their registration, so you can see how we used them on each card.
This bundle is wildly popular - and I really hope SU! brings it back in next year's catalog. But for now it is ONLY available while supplies last - so if you LOVE it - get it NOW!! Not done yet though - stop by in a couple days and I'll be sharing one more fall card made with this same bundle. ~Maureen

Personal Post Monday .... Giving thanks and the end of a SPECIAL!
Just have to say thank you to those who gave their lives for my freedoms! I was watching a video this morning that showed how many of our men and women died in different wars and it brought tears to my eyes. Such a fallen world we live in. We owe such a debt of gratitude for their fighting on our behalf! Thank you, thank you....I pray I never take that sacrifice lightly!
I just love the flower beds we have around our home. I've been picking fresh bouquets for a couple weeks now - but this week I was able to pick my first two peonies! Aren't they beautiful. My Mom used to have peony bushes and I loved them, and now I have some. My grand-daughter didn't even think they were real, they looked so perfect!
DON'T MISS OUT!! It's the final 24 hours of my FREE Ribbon Share offer - after tomorrow noon - I'll be charging for these shares. Any online order of $50 or more on my website (pre-S&H and tax) - gets you FREE ribbon. But your order has to be placed by tomorrow, May 31, 2016 at Noon! Full details HERE.
Above and below are two pictures of the ribbon you'll get in your share. 2 yards each of the 5 colors shown. So hurry and place your order and be sure to use the hostess code I gave!
Gotta run - some bbq ribs are calling my name :) Have a blessed and safe Memorial Day! ~Maureen
