Sunburst Technique!

Today I'm sharing our Technique Card and our Project Card from my April Clubs!  Sunburst cards!  It is really an old favorite of mine for several reasons - 1) It's quick 2) It's easy 3) you use up scraps and 4) it packs a lot of punch!  Here is the card we made up for our binder.  I love the colors - so bright and cheery - this is the Painted Autumn DSP from the 2017 Holiday Catalog.  On this card we did the pattern vertically and offset from the center a bit.
The card below was our project card - for this we used the Delightful Daisy DSP from the 2017/18 Annual Catalog.  You can see how using papers from a DSP pack works so well, because everything coordinates.  This card layout was done horizontally and starting with a center point -which is where we then placed out punched out daisy with a Gold faceted gem center.

SF May Blog Hop - Masculine Theme

Well - Mom's day is over - so now it's all about the men lol!   Welcome to the Stampin' Friends Blog Hop for May - check out my blog post below, and then be sure to hop through all the rest (links at the bottom) to see all the amazing masculine projects and ideas.
For the cards above I used the Guy Greetings set - and let me tell you - it is killing me to see this set retired.  I have a hubby, brother-in-law, and a ton of brothers - and this has been my go to set!  It is especially great because it has a ton of images and sentiments.  So you can use it over and over again without repeating your card design.  These cards are for birthday's - but they could easily be transformed into Father's day with a change of the cover sentiment.
Guy Greetings Photopolymer - 137178 - $26.00
Below you can see how I added the 'to a classic' sentiment - and repeated the image from the front of the card.
Then to finish it off - I made these little Hershey nugget packages - so it can be given as a gift with the card.  I don't know about you - but the men in my life like chocolate - but all are watching their 'sweets' intake.  So these little nuggets are just the perfect size for a one a day treat.
They are covered with coordinating colors of cardstock, and then finished with a cute little tag to match the card.  How cute is that!
Hope you enjoyed my projects - now continue to hop on through the other blogs for more inspiration!  ~Maureen

April Hostess Gift

My April Hostesses received this adorable Pizza box card set.  I featured the retiring Fruit Basket set and punches.  Each piece featured a coordinating DSP and then one of the fruits in the set - along with a sentiment that matched.  I've got to say - this is why I LOVE Stampin' Up! products - everything coordinates so beautifully.  The box is tied on the side to allow it to be opened and then tied shut again.
But, alas, this set, punches and DSP will all be retired as supplies are exhausted - or when the new Annual catalog goes live June - whichever comes first.  So get them while you can!  We make a great pear - so stinkin' cute, and I adore that little heart!
Hello Friend is perfect for this little card - as the pineapple is the symbol of friendship and hospitality.
The oranges are actually punched out of the DSP I used as I wanted them to really pop!  But there are also little orange wedges in the set that could be used to make a similar card.
And here is the complete set.  Once the mini cards are used - the box can easily be reused to put a gift card in - as they fit perfectly.  I just love these little mini pizza boxes and am so happy they carried over into the new Annual Catalog that begins in June.
Speaking of the Annual Catalog - here it is!

Goodbye to the Birthday Memories Suite!

I am sooo, sooo sad that this Suite of Products did not make it into the Annual Catalog.  So instead of having a pity party - I decided to spend a night fussy cutting images from the amazing Birthday Memories DSP and making cards!
Just look how fun these are - who wouldn't want to find one of these in their mailbox?! Guaranteed to put a smile on anyone's face.
The DSP had lots of little pictures of these gift boxes - so I also cut those out, and added to the inside of the card.
I love this little fox with his Hip Hip Hooray! banner - reminds me of the Golden books from my childhood -
But my favorite is this bear - isn't he just the best - with his little buddy riding on his back on the way to a birthday celebration!
The DSP has a part of the image at the bottom - so I even cut that one out and put it in this oval and it turned out just great!  Hope you enjoyed these cards - so bright and festive!
You need to check out the retirement list on my website at www.stampingwithmaureen.stampinup.net - then just click on SHOP and check the categories on the left (last chance products and clearance for sure).  Many items have been reduced in cost, including this DSP - so now is the time to buy as all is while supplies last ONLY.  Please be sure to use the HOSTESS CODE below before checking out.

Petal Pallette Paper goodbye!

Hi All - just sharing this amazing Petal Passion Designer Series paper today - before it goes away.   It is absolutely one of my all time favorites, and I am so sad Stampin' Up! is retiring it.  But - they are bringing the coordinating Petal Pallette stamp set back - so I am happy about that.  Below is the DSP and it is available while supplies last ONLY! Click on the image to go right to my website where you can shop and purchase online.
http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/stampingwithmaureen/
You can see the DSP above is all shades of black/gray/white - but....here's what happens if you combine the paper with a little color -
I used our blends to make this coordinated set of my coffee mug, cell phone cover and a notebook that I carry in my purse.  It got a lot of attention at OnStage - and I was even asked by a Barista at Starbucks if I knew where she could buy one lol!
The mug above is an oldy but a goodie!  Starbucks used to sell these and you can unscrew the bottom and put in a piece of paper of your choice.  I actually purchased 3 of them before they were discontinued - and I LOVE them.
Above is my notebook/pen case - made with one of Stampin' Up!s empty stamp cases - it also has a place to slip in a piece of paper of your choice to decorate it.  These are available empty for purchase.
And finally - my phone case.  It is just a clear case; I cut the DSP to fit, and punched a couple circles side by side for the camera lens.  So - as I mentioned -  you do not want to miss out on this paper while it is still around - and get coloring!!! ~Maureen

SAB - such a great bundle!

Finally sharing this beauty I made with the Basket and Emboss Folder bundle that was available in Sale-a-bration.  The basket is gone now, but I am so glad the Emboss Folder is continuing on in our new upcoming Annual Catalog.  It is a Dynamic folder and make such a deep nice impression.
My flowers waterclolored using an aqua painter and the ink on the inside of the lid of the stamp pads.  And I fussy cut and popped up the little butterfly from the set.
Below you can see how I finished the inside of the card.
The pretty shimmery ribbon was also a freebie during Sale-a-bration and coordinated just beautifully.
Hope you like the inspiration - stop back soon for more.  ~Maureen

March Hostess gifts

My March Hostesses received this adorable Pizza box card set.  I featured the beautiful Foil DSP that was available during Sale-a-bration.  Each piece was colored with  markers which really made the design on the paper pop.  The foil worked as a resist to the markers.

The box was filled with four little 3x3" cards and envelopes - each featuring an image from the Good Day set and punched with our little scallop punch - then layered on a coordinating circle of color.
The sentiments and pictures in this stamp set are just adorable.

And all of these colors felt so SPRINGY to me - wishing for those warm spring temps.

The neat thing about these boxes is that they can be reused with a gift card inside - or maybe some little treats.

I'll be sharing the ones I made for my April Hostesses soon -as I try to catch up on my blogging lol! ~Maureen
