Happy Halloween

Just got home from celebrating at Heidi's with the entire family - what a fun night. The cousins all dressed up as the Wizard of Oz characters - here's the crew - Naomi as the Wicked Witch of the West -
Prince - the Tin Man -
Paisley - Dorothy -
Makai (wouldn't leave her hat on nor stand still for a photo) - as the scarecrow -
and Kamili as the Cowardly Lion -
They were all so cute and had so much fun. We enjoyed appetizers and a great time together. Now tomorrow is a crazy busy day as we move Jenee and Robert from one apartment to the next - both upstairs - yikes!! Hope your Halloween was as wonderful as mine. Be sure to hug someone you love! -Maureen

Halloween Stamp Camp

Last week was our Halloween Stamp Camp at my daughter Heidi's home. It was a cold, rainy, windy night - perfect for being inside dry and stamping - especially Halloween items. Here's the cute spider web cupcakes Heidi made, with creepy spiders on them -
and the yukky purple mucky punch we served (it tasted great - looked horrible :) - We made this cute sucker cover using the Sweet Centers Set from the Holiday Mini - the sucker is those yummy caramel apple suckers you can find this time of year. Then we made this cute little pumpkin favor filled with a cello bag of candy corn.We also made a neck band and stamped tag for their potion bottles of M&M's - we ended up sending decals home with the ladies to add to their bottles, as all the moisture in the air caused them not to adhere. You can see the other two projects we made here - http://crazystampinglady.blogspot.com/2009/10/halloween-anything-but-card-abc-stamp.html
All in all it was a great night and I hope the ladies who attended had as much fun as Heidi and I did.

Stamp Till You Cramp - October 2009

Saturday, October 3 was our Semi Annual Stamp Till You Cramp. It is a joint effort of the Crazy Stampin' Ladies (my downline) and our October event is in celebration of "World Card Making Day". We had such a great day stamping and sharing with our customers and I wanted to share a few of the pictures with you -

Here are some of the group getting settled in to do a project - we actually offered four different project tables, and attendees rotated through and got to all of the projects by the end of the day.
~*~*~*~*~

We also offered two mini classes - one in the AM and one in the PM - here is one of the projects - a small Halloween box made out of our scallop envelopes from the Scallop Envelope die. So cute!

Here is a group of attendees working on a mini class project - Doorprizes - doorprizes - there were enough doorprizes for every attendee to get at least one - some got two and three!!Displays - here is just one of over a dozen displays that were throughout the room to offer our customers ideas and samples to take pictures of.Thank you to attendees - each of us who had customers attending made them each a hand-stamped thank you card as well as a decorated giant candy bar. The demos were able to do the cards and candy bars any way they wanted. Here are the ones I made for my customers attending. Hope they liked them. Here's a close up of one of the candy bars - I thought they turned out so cute.

Finally - here is an adorable "BOO" frame that Julie Williams (one of the CSL's) made for a doorprize donation. We all loved it so much, that the following Saturday for our recap committee meeting she hosted a "BOO" party and we all got to make our own - thanks Julie!!

I'll try and post more pictures soon 0f the rest of our projects - our next STYC is scheduled for March of 2010 - so what for details and plan to join us! -Maureen

Maureen’s Home in Simi Valley, CA
Join us for an afternoon of stamping, and complete all your Holiday cards.
You’ll make 20 cards – choosing any combination from 5 different card designs. Your 5 choices are shown below. You can make 20 of one design; 10 each of two designs; 5 each of four designs or 4 each of all five designs. I’ll have Holiday music playing; tables set up for your stamping; all items needed to make your cards prepped and ready; hot cider, wine, coffee, water and sodas – each attendee is asked to bring a munchie to share. Cost is $25 for the afternoon and you must RSVP with card choices by Oct. 18 to allow time for the needed prep work for the cards. Early selection is appreciated. This event is always a FAV of my customers – so plan to join us. Plus you’ll receive punches on your punch card toward free merchandise for any purchases made this afternoon of over $10. RSVP now to hold your spot. Limit 12 attendees.

Choice #1 - Deer Card - I forgot to take a picture of the envelope with this one, but it is stamped with the deer. This selection uses our Chocolate Chip DSP (patterns may vary); and has two little red gems. So cute.

Choice #2 - Ornaments - This selection uses our new ornament punch and silver cord. Bright and funky.

Choice #3 - Snowflakes - This selection uses SU's satin ribbon and torn vellum paper - elegant!

Choice #4 - Dove - This card uses a traditional Christmas set in traditional colors - you'll need to do some cutting with this card.

Choice #5 - Trees - This card also uses some Old Olive DSP (pattern may vary) and will have some cutting involved.

For most of the cards (excluding the Dove one that is strictly Christmas) you will have a variety of sentiments to choose from to stamp. Envelopes are included for all. Email me or call me now to sign up for this Stamp Camp - before all 12 spots are gone. ~Maureen
