Invitation and Bday Card for a "3" year old.....

So here is the cute birthday invitation that Heidi created - you can see more images of it at her blog - www.stampinking.blogspot.com. She found the little popcorn containers - they open up to put popcorn in - and she kept them flat and stamped popcorn from a retired SU set to fit inside. Here it is as it arrived in the mail -

and when you pull up on the popcorn it reveals the invitation - what a neat idea.

And here is my birthday card for Kamili - nothing fancy but I thought it was cute! I used the new Beary Best Friends set from the upcoming Holiday mini that starts Sept. 1 - it's an exclusive set from the Build a Bear Workshop collection - if you love bears - you'll want to check this out. If you'd like a mini - let me know and I'll get one out to you - it is GREAT! I just colored the images with colored pencils - added the 3 to the balloon - popped up the balloon and gift bag and added a little gem (hard to see in the picture) to the middle of the flower in bears fur. Layered it on some DSP - and voila' - a cute little card for a cuter little girl.

And here are the circus plates and settings - it was a very fun day!

The next grandbabies birthday celebration will be March so we have a few months to recuperate :)

Stampers 10 Club...

Our new rotation of our Stampers 10 club started last Sunday. I love this group of ladies - they are so much fun to stamp with. Each month we make two projects - this month we made this cute little box using Boho Backgrounds and the Boho Friends wheel - we used the wheel tone on tone with versamark on the box made of Soft Suede - it looks so rich. Then added the medallion using Dusty Durango and Bermuda Bay - I love the way it turned out - these colors just shout SOUTHWEST!
We also made this lovely card - my whole group knows I love the purples and greens together (my fav color combo is Mellow Moss and Perfect Plum) - but I wanted to use our new DSP Cottage Wall and the colors in there are Old Olive, Orchid Opulence and Rich Razzleberry - so nice together. The set is "For All You Do" that we got FREE at the Hawaii Incentive trip - love it!!
If you'd like to be a part of a Stampers 10 or Stampers 6 group that meets monthly, so you can make fun projects each month as well as build your Stamping supplies and make great stamping friends contact me for FULL details. Thanks for stopping by! ~Maureen

Beach Day - - Before Summer is over...

So her Mom promised Paisley that we'd go to the beach before school started - but she was so sick most of the summer with her current pregnancy - that the summer got away from us. So last Saturday, Gramma, Mom (Jenee), Paisley and Prince headed to Venice Beach. At first they were a little tentative of the water, but before you knew it they were standing and sitting on the beach and letting the waves splash over them. It was a beautiful day with perfect temperatures. By the time we got home though, I was exhausted and just crashed - something about that salt air just wipes me out. But we had a great time - and that's what matters. Here Prince and Paisley are playing in the ocean with Mom. Hope she doesn't mind that I posted this - but oh to look so good and be 14 weeks pregnant!

Paisley and Prince decorated their own visors with fish shaped foam stickers before heading to the beach - here they are modeling their creations!

Things I Love....

Tomorrow is the first of our new rotation of my Stampers 10 Club. Each year I give a Hostess gift to my hostess of the month. This year at convention we made this adorable set of 3x3 Notecards and envelopes in a cello with a topper. (Well, I actually made mine yesterday, as I used my make and take time to run out and get a cup of coffee - yes, it is an addiction :)

So I decided this is what my hostesses this year will get. The first (Hope you don't see this before tomorrow Kathy) will get this set, and each month I'll use a different SU set to make the cards. So cute. I had already packaged mine up for Kathy, so this is the picture from the project sheet we got at convention. I'll try and post them each month so you can see what I come up with. Enjoy!!

Paisley and Prince

So I had to post pictures of my other two grandbabies. Paisley and Prince stayed overnight with Gramma and Papa the weekend before convention. Here's a couple pictures of each outside playing in my back yard. Paisley loves to pose, but it's usually impossible to get a good picture of Prince as he is constantly on the go. Such sweeties!!

Convention - Oh My!!

DON'T FORGET TO CHECK OUT YESTERDAY'S POST FOR A CHANCE AT MY CONVENTION BLOG CANDY GIVE-AWAY.

Hi all from Day 2 at SLC - and I am exhausted - but having so much fun. Today started with mainstage and then lunch with time to check out some of the boards - this is one of the make and takes we get to make tomorrow - I can't wait. Then they announced the new product for Momento Mall - isn't she the cutest?!? She's stampin' Build a Bear. I am not a stuffed animal person, but when they added the little Stampin' Up! apron and the exclusive stamp to her - how could I resist. So this baby is going home with me :)

Finally here's a peek at one of 3-dimensional displays - there are so many talented stampers and sooooo many creative ideas.
Tonight was the awards ceremony - Stampin' Up! is amazingly generous with their top sellers. My downline Kathy and I went over. It was fun seeing who the winners were, but it's now 11 PM here and we need to meet at 6:30 am downstairs for breakfast to get to Convention bright and early. They have a great cook to order breakfast here which is nice and Starbucks is on the way - so I'm good :) For those of you who don't know - I'M ADDICTED TO COFFEE - and love Starbucks. Good things that there are lots of them around. See you all soon!

Potty Training and BLUUUUUUUUUE Ice Cream

So my grand-daughter Kamili is officially potty trained and wearing BIG GIRL panties!! For a two (almost three year old) this is a big deal. After weeks of working at it and promises of ice cream from Gramma - it's a done deal. So off to Cold Stone we went this week and she had to have Bluuuuuuue (that's how she says it) ice cream (which by the way is Cotton Candy flavor) and sprinkles. What a celebration :)
Here's a picture of Kamili enjoying the ice cream; and her sister Makai who had to stay home this trip. This was just time with Gramma to celebrate!
