Monday Funday - Sketch challenge #2 and contest!

Monday Funday - Sketch Challenge #2 and contest!
Thank you so much to everyone who played along with my challenge last week!  So much fun and such great cards!!  So we're going to do this again :)  This could be a regular thing!
Sketch #2
Challenge #2 -  So here is the deal - my challenge to you is to make a card with this sketch.  This looked so fun - but it was a bit of a challenge for me.  Your card does not have to use Stampin' Up! products - although I would LOVE that.  You can do it vertical like this one - or turn it horizontal.  You can use your imagination - this is just a sketch guideline.  But you need to go to my facebook page search Crazy Stamping Lady - like the page if you have not done so; and post your picture of your card in the comments of the Challenge #2 Post.
 ~*~*~*~*~
Here's my card I made with the layout to give you some inspiration - I used the hostess set - Make a Splash and DSP from the Birthday Bonanza package.   Along with some Daffodil ribbon.  The card for some reason washed out here with my flash - but hopefully - you get the idea!  I think this would be a great encouragement card during this rough time of personal distancing.
Now let's see what you can come up with - all entries posted to my Facebook page as stated above by Noon on Sunday, April 5, 2020 will be entered in a drawing for a FREE sheet of Stampin' Up! self-adhesive sequins.  You can enter as often as you like - as long as each card is unique.  I'll draw at Noon and mail out your prize to you as soon as we connect and I get your address.  Watch my Facebook page for the winner to be announced.  Looking forward to seeing all your creations!  ~Maureen

Hopping Around the World Blog Hop March - Flowers Theme!

Once again, so very happy to be hopping with this lovely group of stampers for the month of March as we share Everything Flowers for you.  I decided on sharing an adorable little treat pouch (bagalope below); along with the beautiful Flowering Foils DSP available during Stampin' Up's Sale-a-bration.  Easy, fast and oh so cute! This DSP is beautiful as it is - but the foil works as a resist element when you color it -
My favorite coloring tools - are our alcohol Blends - they go on so smoothly, and as the name suggests, they blend flawlessly. They are just perfect for coloring this DSP.
So for the bagalope - I used an envelope that opens on the end - but any envelope will work - while it is flat I scored in 3/4" on each side and the bottom through both layers of the envelope. Then slip your hand inside the envelope and push in the sides making a stand up bag - flatten the bottom and glue down the little flaps on each side - and voila - a cute little package to present a little gift.
For this one, I fussy cut the flowers out of the foil design paper and colored it with Stampin' Up! blends.  Then popped it up on the layers with the sentiment.  I also punched a couple holes in the top and threaded some ribbon through to hold it all shut.

Below is the notecard I designed to go with it.  Same basic layering - cut the flowers out and colored with blends and added them to the front of the card for this elegant look.  The foil gives it the bling it needs with no additional embellishments needed.  Add any sentiment you like to finish it off.  Flowers are just so universal - you can use for most anything.

Then I took an additional strip of the paper and colored it to match,  then adhered it to the back flap of my envelope - for a beautiful finish!  Would love to receive something this pretty in my mail box - how about you?

Here is a close up of the flowers I was coloring at the top of the blog.  I just think they are lovely and will be adding them to some additional projects soon.
Hope you enjoyed my project - now be sure to "hop" on through the rest of the blogs on the list to see all their great ideas.  Before moving on, be sure to leave a comment - they make my day!

Cute little hostess gift

Today I am sharing a gift I gave to one of my recent hostesses.  It features the Tropical Oasis DSP - which is lovely - all those lovely, bright, tropical colors.  It is a covered notepad and three little coordinating note cards and envelopes.  This would be the perfect little gift for any friend to cheer them.
The three little cards are below - and even though you cannot see it, the envelope flaps on each card are decorated with the matching DSP for a finishing touch.
Here is a close-up of the notepad - I just love it - and that cute little sentiment.  It's a tough time right now - but there is still soooo much to be thankful for.  We have to not lose sight of that.
And, here is the inside of the pad - you could cover any note pad - but I had found these cute little ones with colored paper in a while ago - and it was fun to try and match it.
Hope you are getting opportunities to do something creative.  Be sure to check out my sketch contest going on until Sunday, March 29 at noon - and join in the fun!  CLICK HERE!

It's the Bees Knees!

Okay - well that saying was a little before my time - but it fits, because this project is the Bee's Knees!  I love how it turned out.  These little explosion boxes are just so easy and so much fun and make a wonderful presentation for a little treat or gift.  I featured a simpler version HERE - in a previous post, if you want to check it out.  For this one we used the Sale-a-bration Bee paper that is no longer available - but obviously you could use any design paper in this project.  The gems are the Champagne gems from the Mini catalog - and the little pieces in the honeycomb are cut from are Champagne foil.
So we made this box three layers deep - this second box inside the first has the actual little Honeycomb cut from the Champagne foil - those inside pieces that cut our are what we used above.

The third little box lid has a sweet sentiment -

And when you open that one - a sweet treat!

I hope you liked this adorable box and will try you hand at your own -

Be sure to leave me a comment to let me know what you think :)

SF 2020-March Congrats, Grads, Brides and Babies Blog Hop

Be sure to hop through all the blogs on the list for tons of  wonderful inspiration!

~*~*~*~*~
I don't know if you are like me - but once the Spring mini comes out - I tend to forget about all of the amazing products in the Annual Catalog.  So today that is where my focus is - the Noble Peacock Suite - it is amazingly beautiful and perfect for a special congratulations card.  So I decided to make a split panel card - using the Noble Peacock Specialty paper, the Royal Peacock set and the beautiful Noble Peacock rhinestones.
Below you can see the card open -
And below are the measurements for the different panels to make this card -
I decided to just make a simple gift card holder to go with it - using many of the same products - I started with a piece of the DSP in Old Olive - 5 1/2" x 3 5/8" and scored at 2 3/8" and 4 7/8".
Then I added our tear and tap to the panels as shown below  -
After folding it up - I added a sentiment, ribbon and three of the peacock feathers cut out - as well as some gems.
I punched the open end with a 1" circle punch half way to give an easy access for pulling the card out -
And here it is all done -
Perfect way to congratulate someone special for an accomplishment you are proud of!
